Consumer Complaint: In XX/XX/2013 I financed a vehicle through Santander Consumer USA. At the time I had poor credit and the loan terms were obsurd. On XX/XX/13 I entered into. TRIPP ( temporary modification agreement ) which cut the monthly payment in half, however I was not told the ramifications resulting from this agreement or that interest only payment would expand the life or cost of the loan. I was also never provided written documentation, as promised in the TRIPP agreement as to how this would affect the payoff date for the loan. I have now paid over $ 21k in interest for a car that has a staled price of $ XXXX. As of calling last week, I was told I still owe over $ 10k on the car, which is beyond obsurd. Santander Consumer claims they wont settle my loan or allow me to pay or a percentage to get out of this predatory agreement.

Consumer Complaint: The car I purchased in XX/XX/XXXX2015 was forfeited by the City of XXXX after XX/XX/XXXX2019. The car was stolen and due to the condition of the vehicle reported as missing, vandalized, and damaged due to theft. The problem occurred once the vehicles tires were XXXX caused by an obstruction on the road. I have reported this to my insurance company and to other entities. Regardless of the policy, my car has full coverage. I dont regard NC State regulations in Maryland but I do understand my liability since I am no longer a resident in North Carolina.

Consumer Complaint: Never received certified letter of intent to repossess, documentation notifying me where the car would be auctioned, how much the car was sold for, after auctioned, of any other information. Company is also reporting inaccurate information about account on my credit reports, which is a violation of the FCRA. Equifax is reporting that account was paid on time XXXX & XXXX, the account was opened XX/XX/2018, and that its an installment loan. Experian is reporting that the account was paid on time in XXXX only, the account was opened XX/XX/2018, and that its an auto loan. Certified letter was sent asking for validation and never received a response.

Issue: Problem with customer service

Consumer Complaint: The problem I have is that I cant waive any missed payments I went through a situation and the store I worked at got shutdown so I lost my job and missed some payments Ive been with the this bank for more than 3 years and Ive been making on time payments except for 4 This is 4 payments out of 40 payments Im trying to fix my credit score but by them not helping me waive the missed payments i cant fix it Its a night impact since its an active account Plus by not helping me they know for a fact that I cant refinance my car and kind of forcing me to keep paying the same rate which is more than 21 %, its so much and its killing me Please help me fix this problem I cant even rent an apartment with my score now, I didnt know anything about how credit score works Its a huge struggle for me now and I have to move to a different apartment in only 2 months I need to fix this as soon as possible Ill even pay for any service that would help me get out this situation Thank you so much for reading this

Issue: Struggling to pay your loan

Consumer Complaint: Santander charged off my loan at only 60 days past due without any notice. I was informed by XXXX XXXX in XXXX. In XXXX I contacted them by email explaining my financial hardship and got no response back by email. Over the time my loan I paid always on time a few times I was a few days or wk late and they would threaten me with a repo. They told me I can not refinance my loan even though I was current at the timE. About a week or two ago a tow truck shows up at my house and gave my daughter a business card with case number and my name. I thought this was shady. Ive had some repos in the past and they dont notify or come during the day. Needless to say I have the vehicle tucked away till I hear something legitimate. I know most repos dont occur till after 180 or more days late and a charge off or closing doesnt happen till they have possession of the vehicle. Atleast where Im originally from thats how we do things.

Consumer Complaint: This particular account situation that is lately filing on my own credit document has a seriously unfavorable relation to my personal ability to obtain a present loan application. I highly recommend you generate verification that SANTANDER has been reported completely in accordance with the Fair Credit Reporting Act regulations, it's really a serious problem to mis-report. Moreconfirmation of the aforesaid item too. My proper request mustover, I was never 30 days/60 days/120 days late in any of my payments and I'm not greatly tuned in to the date opened so I prefer to ask you be investigated as soon as possible and confirmed to be correct. Thanks!
