Consumer Complaint: SANTANDER is reporting a fraudulent account under my credit that i did not open, on my XXXX, XXXX and XXXX report. they are damaging my good name and i want to buy my first home. this is the account number XXXX i see on my credit report. someone tuck out a car under my name. i never use credit. i pay everything cash. my XXXX XXXX pays for all my stuff. he said he will have the top lawyers in florida look at this to sue Santander bank and all the credit reporting agencies.

Consumer Complaint: In XX/XX/XXXX, I signed an auto loan with Santander Consumer on a XXXX XXXX at a cost of {$19000.00}. I have filed a complaint about Santander before with CFPB but this is a recent matter that was not dealt with previously. My complaint involves the settlement Santander made on a class action with 34 Attorney Generals including Florida which is where I am located and where my loan originated. The settlement of the class action describes who is eligible to be included in the class. First, I live in one of the included states. Second, my loan originated in XXXX which is within the years covered. Lastly, at the time I applied for the loan, I was in a desperate financial condition as evidenced by : 1. I had been turned down everywhere for a car loan. 2. My wife and I had a small baking business and our regular monthly income consisted only of Social Security with {$1600.00} for me and {$850.00} for my wife. 3. At the time we applied, I was XXXX year sold and my wife was XXXX. 4. I don't recall what I submitted as our monthly income from our business but it wasn't much since we were going month to month. The business closed in XXXX. 5. At that time I was several months past due on my mortgage and in danger of foreclosure. 6 We had another car loan that was 90 days past due and was reposesed shorlty after we got this car. 7. My bureau score at that time was around XXXX and probably lower. I don't know what my wife ' score was but she had no other credit and still doesn't have anything but this. So I don't know what score Santander gave us but I couldn't imagine it being very good. As I recall, I applied for a smaller amount and was shocked when they said we were approved for {$18000.00}. When I went to pick up the car at XXXX, they said we had to pay the sale tax up front which we didn't have so Santander agreed to raise the approval amount to cover it. So we got the car with XXXX down. We struggled to make the payments in the first 8 months but we made them by putting off other things. Then a collecter from Santander called and asked if we were having trouble with the payments and offered us an extension for three months. At the time, we thought they were just being helpful but now we realize that they were just delaying the inevitable and piling on extra charge in the process. Without the extension, we would have defaulted and had a reposession. We have had the loan for 7 years now and they have given us 11 extensions. One time they suggested that we pay only 1/2 payments for a year and we took the deal and at the end of that year, our balance had gone up with nothing applied to principle. We have been paying for 7 years on a 6 year loan and we still owe {$12000.00} with three more years to go. During the past 7 years, we had two hurricanes and I developed XXXX XXXX which required XXXX. I am having another major XXXX XXXX next week. We have been 90 days past due 4 times and 60 days 10 times. They ordered reposession 3 times but never went through with it. I qualify for the settlement but Santander hasn't answered my emails, the XXXX of the settlemt said we should talk to Santander and so did the Florida AG. We have been making the payments recently from the stimulus money but that's coming to an end so we need help. We have technically been in default a dozen or more times.

Consumer Complaint: Every time I call santander to process a payment over the phone with their customer service, my payments never processes and I constantly hit with a 30 day late pay on my credit score it have happen 4 different times. Everytime I submit an investigation it take me to call them no less then 5 times to get the situation resolved and they constantly claim they do not have records of my calls but every call is recorded and when I asked to have the recording pulled so they can see I called to do a payment it turns out I am correct.

Consumer Complaint: Hi - I hope all is well. I am being harassed by Santander bank. Santander decided to intentionally remove my payment history after my class action settlement offer. This dropped my score 30 points. This is not the first time that they have altered my charge off trade line to drop my points out of nowhere. I have contacted them to correct this and they claim there is nothing they can do. Santander is in the midst of a lawsuit for their illegal business practices and intentionally reporting wrong info to CRAs yet they are still trying this with me. Please remove this account to remove the harassment from my life. Santander is also reporting the account differently to each CRA. Below are the dates the account is being reported to each CRA. XXXX : XX/XX/2017 XXXX : XX/XX/2017 XXXX : XX/XX/2017 I have a postcard from my class action settlement which they have yet to settle and supporting paperwork for everything mentioned above. Consumer Complaint: My loan is included in the Santander Consumer sub prime loan nys class action settlement. My account was closed per the settlement agreement but they still havent cleared my title, still no money sent to me and they as recently as XX/XX/2021 reported this account as a charge off to all 3 credit agencies with an outstanding balance of {$2200.00}. because of this i was denied a mortgage and my credit score is in the toilet. I have been fighting this company since XXXX was charged nothing but interest for years, had car repo several times and then forced to pay {$10.00} a month just to make online payment because if i mailed it they would hold it until after due date then charge me late fees. They owe me thousands of dollars and my title and now they are ruining my credit. When is this company going to get shut down. I helped XXXX do an expose article on them and they are still allowed to ruin lives!

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2019 my truck was totaled. The insurance company decided to total it out due to the air bag and the damages. A week later my insurance company paid the blue book value of the truck with the miles that was on it. I had to go back and forth with XXXX for 2 months so to get them to pay the remainder balance. Then once that was done. I get a bill from them stating I owed them {$1800.00} I called them trying to figure out how. It seems like since the pay out wasn't payed all at once they kept the number rolling. I made sure they got their money before i even go a car myself. Putting all my energy into making sure they got theirs first. I was hurt in the accident and still going threw pains and issues from the accident. I need you to look into my situation about this matter at hand. I can look for paper work to support my case at hand to prove all thee above stated is true. I really need you guys to make right by this situation.

Consumer Complaint: I have started to receive letters from A law firm stating that I owe a balance with Santander Consumer through a third party for a debt from 2014. Santander has falsified information to approve me for an auto loan that I will later default on. In which state was found guilty in a multi-state settlement with the Louisiana Attorney General 's office. I've ask them to remove this from my credit report multiple times for their unlawful practices. When contacting Santander Consumer representative will hang up the phone on me or not get back with me with a response

Consumer Complaint: Santander Consumer Usa has been reporting inaccurate information on my report for years. They take innocent people falsify income information to get you approved even with horrible credit scores and have you pay out the Roof! interest rates. 33 States are Litigation with this company. I feel based on the facts I should be eligible. I'm simply asking to investigate my auto history from santander and ask for method of verification. I got tricked into paying my account although ; I still disagree with everything they claim to be as negative or charged off. I got rear ended in a car accident none of this should be on my account. Thousands of customers will tell you how much of a fraud company santander is.I would like to file a complaint for me being a victim of Deception and Predatory lending practices.
