Consumer Complaint: I sent numerous letters to the credit bureaus, creditors, and collection companies starting back from XXXX up till now. They violated my federal consumer laws. According to 15 usc 1681b ( a ) ( 2 ) it states In accordance with the written instructions of the consumer to whom it relates. Meaning i have to give them written premission to report this to my consumer report and i didnt. Some letters i sent certified mail and transunion simply decline my letter .I jus want them to know that im not working with a credit repair company i am the natural person, and online educaution is free now and days and please dnt asulat me againn

Consumer Complaint: My credit score with XXXX was XXXX and now it is XXXX. I tried contacting them to find out why my score dropped. I have not applied fir any credit. It is very hard to reach this company by telephone. I need to know why my credit scorXXXX decreased. This is causing me a problem finding somewhere to live. Why did my credit score decrease on XX/XX/2022? I am submitting this complaint with my former address that was used at the time I registered with XXXX. Consumer Complaint: I am responding to your contact about a debt you are trying to collect. You contacted me by postal mail, on XX/XX/2022 and identified the debt as verified debt owed. Please supply the information below so that I can be fully informed : Why you think I owe the debt and to whom I owe it, including : The name and address of the creditor to whom the debt is currently owed, the account number used by that creditor, and the amount owed. If this debt started with a different creditor, provide the name and address of the original creditor, the account number used by that creditor, and the amount owed to that creditor at the time it was transferred. When you identify the original creditor, please provide any other name by which I might know them, if that is different from the official name. In addition, tell me when the current creditor obtained the debt and who the current creditor obtained it from. Provide verification and documentation that there is a valid basis for claiming that I am required to pay the debt to the current creditor. For example, can you provide a copy of the written agreement that created my original requirement to pay? Consumer Complaint: Portfolio recovery seems like a debt collector than strive off of misinformation & bullying people into paying debt that doesnt belong to them. If I owe a debt I have no problem paying it. What I will not do is pay a debt that is not mine. Because I know this debt is not mine I have written over 15 certified letter to portfolio recovery asking for them to validate the debt. They keep sending their computer generated letter saying their investigations are correct but no proof. They even restarted the debt to benefit there personal gain. They even reported the account as an individual but when I did my own investigation its a joint account open by my X husband without my knowledge or permission. I explain to them that they would never see a transaction signed by me because I never had or seen this card. They refused to remove this fraudulent account. They have been unable to provide any of the requested documents to validate they account & think what they say goes. I have rights & in a world where so much fraud is being done to every day people I refuse to be held liable for someone else debt. I was not even aware of this account because I had my own XXXX XXXX XXXX & was thinking the information was on my card not a fraudulent account not done by myself. Portfolio recovery refuse to validate the debt in the correct way & have the nerves to report a joint account as individual to trick me into thinking its my account & my debt. They are violating my rights & is even breaking the fair credit act. Even tho the Credit bureau have all the proof of this company basically committed fraud against me & reporting inaccurate information on my report being harm against me 2 of the 3 agencies have refused to remove it & I know Portfolio has not validate this debt in the lawful way. And I want to hold XXXX XXXX XXXX also accountable. They can not run a company base on lies for there own personal gain. By law if they can not validate & proof this account belongs to me then they must remove from my credit report. They keep sending me transaction history than can be done by anyone. Thats the purpose of fraudulent activities. Nothing showing a transaction made with my wet signature just computer generated papers that anyone can print up on a computer. They need to be a full investigation against this company.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX XXXX or around that date I went to XXXX XXXX XXXX to inquire on a bedroom set since me and my wife paid off accounts there and just paid one of the night before the lady had me fill out an update sheet said thats all I need they didnt inform me they were gon na run a hard inquiry so my XXXX XXXX alerted me I said I wish u told me you were going to run my credit me and wife went back later and they notified her they would do a hard inquiry we declined because I was under the impression I was just filling out an update sheet not to run my credit they also ran it again on XX/XX/XXXX after an online inquiry I never got a response thats twice Pra I have asked them to produce the original contract that I owe Ave they cant produce it in order to prove that debt I need the original contract

Consumer Complaint: Since XX/XX/2021, Portfolio Recovery has been calling me nearly every day from a different phone number every time. ( The number provided was the most recent used number as of this report. ) Most times I decline the call and block the number, but the two times I did answer it to ask them to stop calling, the other end was dead silent. Occasionally their numbers leave a short voicemail on my phone -- less than 10 seconds on average -- with a partial XXXX or American automated voice recording. I've looked up this company and it seems they're a legitimate debt collector ( XXXX-accredited ). I don't have any past due debts, so I'm not sure why they're calling or whether they have the wrong person or what. I did receive several calls and undetailed voicemails from a XXXX XXXX ( an unfamiliar company I have no debts or business with ) about a month before the Portfolio Recovery calls started ; so I wonder if these companies are connected ; whether the former is, again, pursuing the wrong person ; or whether these companies have anything to do with each other. I'll point out that neither company has mailed or emailed me about any outstanding debts.
