Consumer Complaint: Portfolio Recovery Associates has been attacking me for over 12 years with threats of legal action, lawyers being sent to my residence, contacting my employer, now on XX/XX/2023 they have started harassing me on my personal phone. I have provided them with death certificates of the person who created the debt, it has been non-stop harassment for TWELVE YEARS. Every month they are calling after I sent them the original documentation to resolve their claim, plus every 3 months they are sending correspondence demanding payment or legal consequences. This PRA Group has been told at least 30 times to stop and as always, they continue to ignore my requests. Please shut down their corrupt operation and remove them as a public company listed on the XXXX XXXX. They refuse to comply with any orders by CFPB or the courts.

Consumer Complaint: I mailed company a letter, certified mail on XX/XX/XXXX to Portfolio Recovery Associates, requesting they validate the alledged debt. I requested they send me a copy of the contract or agreement. I also requested that they cease and desist all collection action. On XX/XX/XXXX, PRA sent a letter showing they now own the account. Also credit card statements from XXXX. None of this information, meets the qualifications of validation of the debt. I mailed the company a letter, certified mail on XX/XX/XXXX, stating that they failed to send me the requested information, they also failed to cease and desist all collection activities because the debt still shows on my credit report. It has been over two months and they have not responded. Their failure to comply has cause me undue stress, frustration, and credit damage and they are not adhering to my rights under FDCPA and the FCRA.
