Consumer Complaint: Lexis Nexis was hired bt XXXX XXXX to conduct a background check on our company, named below in XXXX. We completed the forms, submitted a lease agreement for a virtual office that makes rooms/offices available for a fee for private meetings that are held with doors closed for privacy. This setup is used by many professionals in the 21st century. Gone are the filing cabinets with rims of files. Cloud-based storage is the norm. As the letter/email shows, we were not given the approval nor given the reason why except to state that " a certain aspect of our business '' did not meet their unpublished requirements. Further, not knowing what the problem is, we can not correct it. There is an email given, we contacted the company through that and did not hear back. Tired of waiting, I called the company where I was told that they can not tell me why we were not approved, and the only thing to do is to re-apply and correct what " I think '' the problem is! The direct consequence of this denial : loss of revenue for our company because we can not market XXXX XXXX XXXX products despite the fact the company itself has appointed me and my insurance Agents. We want to know what the reason for the denial is, and how to address it. THIS IS THE EMAIL WE RECEIVED ON XX/XX/2020 XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX Thank you for your interest in LexisNexis. Based on our review of your application, we are unable to activate an account for your company. XXXX XXXX Louisiana Drivers License # XXXX They have my last name as XXXX but that is not the name on my license, I told them I have not changed my last name but how YOU pulled up a suspended or revoked in the past 36 months under the name XXXX XXXX is very unusual because that is not the name on my license. Subissue:
Consumer Complaint: A security freeze was placed on my LexisNexis report on XX/XX/2020. I also placed a freeze on my XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX report on XX/XX/2020. I do have verification for these freezes if needed. LexisNexis has continued to verify personal information reporting to my credit report post-freeze. I have letters from XXXX ( XX/XX/2020 ), XXXX ( XX/XX/2020 ), and XXXX ( XX/XX/2020 ) stating that public records on my report were verified using LexisNexis. I received a letter from the courthouse stating that they do not sell or report public records concerning bankruptcy filings to any third party agencies or credit bureaus. The reporting from the three major bureaus do not match one another as they are required to. I have disputed the inaccuracy of the reporting and nothing has changed. The court names are incorrect, the filing dates do not match and they are incorrect, the reference numbers are all different. I have disputed this information with XXXX, XXXX and XXXX multiple times and the information comes back verified each time with the same response : " obtained through a third party vendor LexisNexis Risk Data Management Inc. ''. I know that the law states that the bureaus are required to report all accurate information on consumer reports, and that has not been the case for me. I am aware that data obtained for a consumer report must be validated through the original furnisher and the original furnisher stated in writing that they do not share info with 3rd parties.

Issue: Incorrect information on your report
Subissue: Public record information inaccurate
Consumer Complaint: I have reached out to XXXX XXXX on several occasions asking them to supply me with thXXXX XXXX XXXX information they are using to 'validate ' judgements they are reporting on my credit file. They have supplied false information on each occasion. I have asked that they remove the information due to them not reporting correctly and also supply the correct information to me. I have contacted the deputy clerks of each district and they have assured me that they do not supply 3rd party including credit bureaus information about court cases. XXXX XXXX has misled and deceitfully reported information that they have not properly investigated. They have also refused to supply information regarding their investigative process or name the 3rd party that they are using. Below is a copy of a letter I sent to XXXX XXXX This letter is a follow up to my original letter dated XX/XX/XXXX regarding an inaccuracy in credit reporting, regarding the entry being reported under By not replying in a timely manner to my initial letter XXXX XXXX has not only violated federal law, but have also failed to provide me with a copy of any viable evidence, bearing my signature, showing the account is being reported accurately. Be aware that I am making a final goodwill attempt to have XXXX XXXX clear up this matter. The listed item is entirely inaccurate and incomplete, and represents a very serious errors in reporting. I am maintaining a careful record of my communications with you for the purpose of filing a complaint with the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau and the Attorney General 's office, should you continue in your non-compliance. I further remind you that, as in XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX., No. 95-6445 ( C.D.Cal. Nov. 14, 1995 ), you may be liable for your willful non-compliance. As you have now violated federal law, by not properly investigating within the required timeframe, and I have evidence of such, via certified mail receipts, you must now remove the item. Any other action XXXX or in-action ) on your behalf will result in a small claims action against your company.
