Consumer Complaint: I am a victim of XXXX identity theft. Some men got my social security number and used it for years. I was married 34 years and never paid attention to my credit file because my deceased wife started all our credit needs. She used her ss # and I came in and signed the paperwork to pay for everything. Until after she passed away, I felt I was getting credit also. After she passed, i went to buy a car nd was told my credit was very bad. I denied it and said we always paid our bills on time. I saw my credit report and there were almost 30 negative accounts on my file, as well as a few names and different states. I had to go to the police and file a report. The police said I was XXXX and had a XXXX for my XXXX. I denied it but the police said I had been. I got my info saying I had used an alias. I denied that, but none of the police believed me. They took my fingerprints and they did not match against the identity thief. The FBI said I could change a lot of things, but could not change my fingerprints. I was exonerated. Now, in getting those fraud names and addresses of my credit files has been a nightmare. The CRA 's breaking the law, outright lying to me. Also, some reps at the CRA 's told me things that would be finished by certain times, did not do it then end up ignoring me after repeated attempts to contact them via phone call voice mails, and emails. The law under 605B of the FCRA gives the CRA only 4 business days to correct the fraud items off my credit file. Needless to say, those 4 days have come and gone. LexisNexis is the specific entity to say one thing and not perform and making their words lies and I am still harmed irreparably. To be lied to like this is very disheartening. Fix it now.

Consumer Complaint: Lexis Nexis Consumer Center is reporting that " other-not-at-fault '' on a XX/XX/2020 accident, when the other was at fault, ran a red light, I was the only driver who had a right of way to be in that intersection. I received no citation, and I suspect the other driver who ran the red light did. His insurer XXXX paid for the accident and reimbursed me my deductible to further corroborate I was not at fault. So, when my renewal came up in XX/XX/2020, I wanted to swtich to XXXX and from XXXX with whom I've been for the last seven years. XXXX gave me a quote of {$590.00}, but then changed it to {$1200.00} when they saw this erroneous credit report from Lexis Nexis. They explained the adverse decision was due to the report. I'm stuck with XXXX paying a higher rate of around {$770.00}. XXXX agrees with me that the XXXX accident was clearly the other driver 's fault as there are no surcharges on my end at all from that incident. Lexis Nexis purportedly has no one to answer its automated phones, I'm stuck in the seventh circle of XXXX over there trying to get them to get this off my credit report or do an accurate report of what occurred. And I'm losing valuable time trying to fix something I shouldn't have to fix based on some data entry person 's erroneous assumptions from who knows what sources. Help. XXXX XXXX

Consumer Complaint: In a letter from LexisNexis, dated XX/XX/2020, the consumer reporting agency stated that after a reinvestigation of an alleged Bankruptcy, LexisNexis was unable to verify the accuracy of case number XXXX, and removed the record from my LexisNexis Risk View report. I recently requested a copy of my LexisNexis National Credit File and this same inaccurate and unverifiable account is reporting there. If LexisNexis was unable to verify this account then it must be removed for their records entirely.

Consumer Complaint: Previously I filed a complaint with CFPB ( Complaint # XXXX XXXX against LexisNexis for maintaining and selling the information they maintain under my social security and not complying with my request to freeze my file, as well as Opt-Out from selling my information. However, despite their claim to have " Security freeze '' on my file and Opt-out of selling my information in the response letter dated XX/XX/2020, they are still selling my information to XXXX. This fact is evident in their response letter dated XX/XX/2020 on complaint # XXXX showing the freeze was applied to a different individual file instead of my file " Security Freeze added to XXXX XXXX RiskView file. '' ( See attached letter from LexisNexis ). They have also on the same response letter referred to my name and title inaccurately, simply showing LexisNexis is extremely careless in regards to collecting information and maintaining information accuracy.

Consumer Complaint: An Opt-Out Request sent to Lexis Nexis effective XX/XX/2020 @ XXXX The only response was : Thank you for your interest in LexisNexis ' information suppression program. Your request to have information suppressed from LexisNexis publicly facing public records products has been received and is in process. Please note that it may take up to 30 days to suppress your information from LexisNexis products and services. It has been over 60 days. Is this a violation of FCRA when a secondary bureau just simply provide a genric automated response and never followed thru with what is promised. To Date, I still have not received the Freeze Request PIN in the mail.

Consumer Complaint: I talked to XXXX about the Lexis Nexis reporting that they removed the bankruptcy from my record. XXXX admitted that Lexis Nexis removed it from their file, but they did not explain why they removed it. XXXX then lied and said that they sent Lexis Nexis to the Bankruptcy Court to verify. Lexis Nexis did not go verify as claimed by XXXX. Yet, XXXX, XXXX and XXXX still is displaying a bankruptcy. In addition, my file is locked with Lexis Nexis and they lawfully can not report anything about me. XXXX has retaliated and started removing aged good credit history from my report. XXXX XXXX said that XXXX disputed their entries that onto my credit report as fraud and asked them to remove from my credit report. This action led XXXX XXXX to remove all of my credit history. The three credit bureaus are now engaged in racketeering type of activity to keep scores down so that they can gain more money from subprime lenders. They are further being less than honest about companies verifying inaccurate information. I would like Consumer Finance to Do its job and regulate these out of control agencies. All three are further preventing new creditors from reporting credit lines during the pandemic so they can further keep scores down so they can profit from sub prime lenders and consumers seeking relied during covid. I also disputed some bogus address on equifax that says I lived in Minnesota and they verified it as accurate. I have never been to Minnesota in my life. This is exactly how I know that these companies are fixing files to meet their own monetary goals. All 3 companies refuse to investigate inquiries.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2020 I sent LexisNexis out a letter asking them to provide the documentation of how and who they spoke to, for them to supply the credit bureaus with a bankruptcy on my credit report. After 50 days and no response I sent out another letter on XX/XX/2020 stating that since they have not provided any details or responded on how they received information of a bankruptcy on my behalf, that they needed to remove it, and share the deleted details to the credit bureaus XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX. Lexis Nexis has not yet responded to either letter in which I have tracking on, so I'm moving on to the next step with this complaint. I also sent LexisNexis a letter telling them to put a Security freeze on my account/report so that no one else can receive any information about myself. Well I just received a letter from a credit union stating that they received information from LexisNexis when that should not have happened because a security freeze was supposed to be put on my account months ago.
