Consumer Complaint: I have attempted to resolve this issue by asking the bureaus to make the proper corrections by deleting this erroneous account over the past two years and they have refused to do so. I have provided documentation such as police reports, my ID, my license, and verification that these accounts do not belong to me. My first dispute for this item was back in XXXX, I sent out another dispute letter in XXXX as I saw that it repopulated back onto my credit file. And it wasn't until recently when I received a newer version of my credit report for the year of XXXX did it reoccur. Not only is this account erroneously reporting on my report, but it is reporting three times on my credit file which is a violation of the FCRA. It seems that LexisNexis not only removes these items from my credit report but they also repopulate it back onto my credit file. I am attempting to resolve this issue prior to taking the next steps necessary to assure that this doesn't repeat again.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2023 I Submitted a complaint to you all regarding Lexis Nexis reporting my XXXXr XXXX bankruptcy on my credit report and illegally sharing/selling this information to third party credit reporting agencies ( XXXX, XXXX, XXXX ). Lexis Nexis followed up by sending me a response stating that they needed to verify my identity please see exhibit. I called in and spoke with 2 separate representatives on XX/XX/2023 and verified my information. The representative stated that the chapter XXXX bankruptcy information was not removed and Lexis Nexis did not complete the demands stated. They actually did nothing. I am at Witts end with Lexis Nexis. Lexis Nexis has committed identity theft by furnishing and housing damaging personal and private information in their systems without my consent and selling this information to third parties without my permission and knowledge. Lexis Nexis, or any other credit reporting agency, has NO lawful authority nor are they operating under ANY LAW that allows them to collect and share damaging information about me, a living and breathing soul. This is identity theft. This is defamation of character and I am not taking this lightly. This is the second time Ive had to file a complaint about these companies and I will not sit back and allow this to continue. The bankruptcy court clerk of Florida stated that they do NOT report this information to any credit reporting agencies, they only report this information to XXXX. XXXX WEBSITE STATES THAT THEY DO NOT GIVE, SELL, OR TRANSFER INFORMATION TO THIRD PARTIES. XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX all obtained this information illegally from Lexis Nexis under FALSE pretenses and furnished this information on my credit reports. All of these agencies have no lawful authority to report any of my personal information without my consent or permission! This is IDENTITY THEFT. You do not have permission to make decisions for me or freely damage my character!!

Consumer Complaint: On Approximately XX/XX/2023, I contacted LexisNexis aka XXXX XXXX and requested a copy of my consumer report and to place a security freeze on the account. On or about XX/XX/XXXX, I received confirmation of the freeze, but not the consumer report so I called to inquire about the report and was told it wasn't requested so I would have to do so in writing. So again I submitted the request also with verification documentation. Approximately XX/XX/XXXX, I received a link and password to the report which didn't work. On XX/XX/XXXX, I called to get support with accessing the report and also stated that I would like to dispute some items on the report. XXXX told me there was already a dispute and I replied, how is that possible when I haven't even seen the report so I would like to start a dispute now, she hung up on me. I called back and got XXXX, agent # XXXX from the XXXX who refused to take the information I wanted to dispute. I reminded him that I have a right under the FCRA to dispute any data they collect and that I never authorized or consented to them sharing any information about me, especially unverified public information. After several minutes of refusing to take my dispute, I advised him I was recording the call and would report them to CFPB and the Attorney General 's office or whoever I could report the too for violating my rights. XXXX finally began taking the dispute, but when I got to the section regarding the bankruptcy, he flat out refused to place the dispute. He insisted that it had already been verified and he would not put it in the report. I then asked for the method of verification. What clerk had they spoken with, what was the phone number and in which court. I then reminded him again that I was recording the call. I advised him that Indiana XXXX XXXX would not verify any such information and he could find that on their website, so unless he could show proof, I want all of the items I requested to be deleted. Finally he began the report and gave me a reference number. Then I noticed that their other company XXXX also had a report, and I asked to dispute it as well. They had a XXXX page report spanning over 30 years with people and places I either didn't know or addresses I never lived. I don't believe he actually submitted the dispute and that is why I am submitting this complaint..

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2023, I submitted a complaint to the CFPB detailing that Lexis Nexis is reporting a bankruptcy on my consumer report that is reporting incorrectly. They claim to have sent me a email asking to verify my identity even though I sent them the last 4 of my social and a copy of my drivers license to verify my identity. This stall tactic is willful noncompliance to remove information that is incorrect and incomplete from my consumer report. The information that is being reported on my consumer report from Lexis Nexis is incomplete and incorrect and needs to be removed immediately. In addition, they do not have permissible purpose to furnish this information on my consumer report without my consent or written permission. That is a violation 15 USC 1681 ( b ). The bankruptcy court is not furnishing this information to Lexis Nexis. They are harvesting this information and displaying it with my name, social, address and other identifiers that are prohibited by law. I demand that it be removed immediately pursuant to 15 USC 1681 ( b ).
