Consumer Complaint: XX/XX/2023 LexisNexis Risk Solutions LexisNexis Consumer Center XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, Georgia XXXX Emailed to XXXX on XX/XX/2023. And ; Consumer Financial Protection Bureau po box 27170 Washington , DC 20038 Submitted via https : //www.consumerfinance.gov/complaint/ on XX/XX/2023. Re : Demand for the Removal of Unverified Information from XXXX XXXX LexisNexis Consumer Report, Section 8 : Property Deed Records # 4 and # 5 Dear LexisNexis and Consumer Financial Protection Bureau : This Demand for the Removal of Unverified Information pertains to the following items on XXXX XXXX LexisNexis Consumer Report : Section 8 : Property Deed Records # 4 and # 5 ( See attached Supporting Document # 1 ) As defined by the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ), 15 U.S.C. 1681 et seq., LexisNexis Risk Solutions is a consumer reporting agency. Therefore, LexisNexis is subject to the FCRA and several more federal and state statutes. Additionally, LexisNexis is regulated by the Federal Trade Commission and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. Pursuant to the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( FCRA ) 611 ( a ) ( 1 ) ( A ), XXXX XXXX submitted multiple Notices of Dispute and Requests for the Removal of Inaccurate Information to LexisNexis. On XX/XX/2023, LexisNexis provided a Result of Reinvestigation Report ( Consumer Number XXXX, Case Number XXXX ( XXXX ) ) ( See attached Supporting Document # XXXX, page # XXXX ) that stated : We have reviewed the information from our Property Deed Records and determined the data being reported is accurate. Research was conducted with the following source : CONNECTICUT DEPARTMENT OF MOTOR VEHICLES XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX CONNECTICUT XXXX On XX/XX/2023, XXXX XXXX submitted a Method of Verification Request, Request for Reinvestigation of Property Deed Records # 4 and # 5 ( with supporting documentation ) to LexisNexis ( XXXX ) ( See attached Supporting Document # XXXX ). On XX/XX/2023, LexisNexis provided a Result of Reinvestigation Report ( See attached Supporting Document # 4 ) that again stated : We have reviewed the information from our Property Deed Records and determined the data being reported is accurate. Research was conducted with the following source : CONNECTICUT DEPARTMENT OF MOTOR VEHICLES 60 STATE STREET WETHERSFIELD CONNECTICUT 06161 The FCRA 607 ( b ), Compliance procedures [ 15 U.S.C. 1681e ] states : ( b ) Accuracy of report. Whenever a consumer reporting agency prepares a consumer report it shall follow reasonable procedures to assure maximum possible accuracy of the information concerning the individual about whom the report relates. What reasonable procedures did LexisNexis follow to assure maximum possible accuracy of the information they are reporting? It will be interesting to read LexisNexis explanation of how the Connecticut Department of Motor Vehicles verified the accuracy of a property deed in the State of Illinois. Did the Connecticut Department of Motor Vehicles certify, under penalty of perjury, that the information that they are furnishing is accurate? It is quite clear that LexisNexis willfully and negligently violated the FCRA by failing to properly investigate the disputed items and lied about verifying the accuracy of the information they are reporting in XXXX XXXX LexisNexis Consumer Report with the Connecticut Department of Motor Vehicles. Once again The Connecticut Department of Motor Vehicles does NOT verify or furnish Property Deed Records for properties in the State of Illinois!! How is it possible that in both of LexisNexis Result of Reinvestigation Reports dated XX/XX/2023, and XX/XX/2023, LexisNexis determined that the data they are reporting regarding XXXX XXXX Property Deed Records # 4 and # 5 is accurate when the Connecticut Department of Motor Vehicles does NOT furnish or verify Property Deed Records for properties in the State of Illinois? A review of the Connecticut Department XXXX Motor Vehicles website does NOT list furnishing or verifying Property Deed Records in the State of Illinois as one of their services ( See attached Supporting Document # 5 ). How is it possible that LexisNexis conducted research with the CONNECTICUT DEPARTMENT OF MOTOR VEHICLES XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX CONNECTICUT XXXX regarding a property deed in XXXX, Illinois that is located XXXX miles away and in a completely different state ( See attached Supporting Document # XXXX )? To maintain the accuracy and integrity of XXXX XXXX LexisNexis Consumer Report, this shall serve as XXXX XXXX formal Demand for the Removal of Unverified Information from XXXX XXXX LexisNexis Consumer Report, Section 8 : Property Deed Records # 4 and # 5. Please cease your reporting of the unverified information and promptly delete the unverified information from XXXX XXXX LexisNexis Consumer Report, Section 8 : Property Deed Records # 4 and # 5. Upon removal of the unverified items, please provide written confirmation of the removal of the items from XXXX XXXX LexisNexis Consumer Report and an updated LexisNexis Consumer Report. Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter. I look forward to resolving this matter as soon as possible.

Consumer Complaint: XXXX has been illegally reporting three bankruptcies on my credit report. When disputing, the response is, " verified, remains ''. When I've asked who XXXX spoke with at the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ( Federal Court ), they have stated they got the information from Lexis Nexis. I do not have an account with Lexis Nexis and I am not sure how they have access to my SSN. I requested an Opt Out as of XX/XX/2023 and Lexis Nexis states it will suppress any public records to third parties. Lexis Nexis and XXXX have mislead the info seekers resulting in high interest rates and turn downs on home loans, credit cards, and a loan from XXXX XXXX Lift Loan which helps minority businesses with their small business loans. Additionally, the SBA also refused lending to me because of these three bankruptcies illegally reported on my credit report.

Consumer Complaint: Lexis Nexis Risk Solutions sold my consumer data without consent. They also sold information regarding the bankruptcy case that was listed by them on the consumer report that was not verified or provided to them by XXXX Court or myself. I filed a dispute ( Compliant # XXXX ) on XX/XX/2023 I attached this letter to the complaint for Lexis Nexis to review. At this point, I am confused as to why Lexis Nexis would ask me to validate information sold by them to all of the credit bureaus. Please shed some light on this request. This Credit Reporting Bureau ( Lexis Nexis ) is in violation of 15 USC 1692g. They were to notify me of this in writing 5 days prior, but I was not. As the original creditor only, I can validate this debt. I do not validate this debt. I will only correspond with Lexis Nexis in writing. I am reattaching the bankruptcy letter from the XXXX Court for Lexis Nexis to review and respond. As I have not received any form of communication from Lexis Nexis, I assume they are in agreement that the information they supplied is invalid.

Consumer Complaint: Last month I filed a dispute for bankruptcy reporting inaccurately on my consumer file. You sent me a response back that it was verified and you got your information from Pacer. I went to Pacer to compare the information you are reporting on my consumer file to make sure it was accurate as you stated. However, the information is still not accurate. The name of the court & the county is inaccurate. Now I know I have a right as a consumer to accurate information on my credit file and for reinvestigation. This inaccurate information you are reporting is hurting my ability to obtain credit. Now I wonder if you actually did an investigation or not. Did you even look into the information or did you quickly label it as accurate/verified?
