Consumer Complaint: XX/XX/2023 : I noticed a total of {$4800.00} in fraudulent charges taken from my bank account from Chase. I contacted Chase within a few hours to lock down my account and report the charges as fraudulent. XX/XX/2023 : Chase provided a temporary credit towards my account while they investigated the matter. XX/XX/2023 : I received the following statement from Chase : We completed our research for the transaction ( s ) you reported on XX/XX/2023. Here 's what you should know We found that the transaction ( s ) was processed according to the information you provided or was authorized. As a result, we are removing {$4800.00} from your account on or after XX/XX/2023. If the account the claim is related to is no longer open with Chase, and you don't have an open account with Chase for us to debit, we may request you to repay the credit ( s ). XX/XX/2023 : I called Chase and spoke with an agent and asked them for verification. I was told that my account was less than 6 months old and therefore my claim was denied. My account has been open with Chase for over 10 years. I'm at a loss of what to do.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I contacted Chase bank the issuer of my credit card. The Amazon prime card that I was provided was lost and used without my authorization at XXXXXXXX XXXX for 3 transactions totaling XXXX dollars. Upon contacting chase bank I was told the matter will be resolved. The amount was initially refunded to me. Today ( XX/XX/2023 ) chase bank has revoked my credit card for the amounts previously refunded. Upon contacting them. They said that they dont know why the transactions were billed. This is a clear violation of their policy. I requested these transactions be removed from my card but with no answer.

Consumer Complaint: On the morning of XX/XX/2023, I learned that I was a victim of check fraud with my Chase checking account. Someone intercepted a check I had mailed to a XXXX XXXX station in the amount of {$60.00}. The criminal scrubbed the check and changed the recipient 's name to XXXX XXXX and changed the payable amount from {$60.00} to {$1000.00}. A chase teller at a branch approved the check and gave the criminal {$1000.00} in cash from my account. I reported the fraud to Chase on XX/XX/XXXX. ( Today is XX/XX/XXXX. ) Chase has stated that because this is fraud, they will return the funds to my account AFTER they complete their investigation, which could take up to 30 days. It is obvious to anyone that " XXXX '' had fake ID and she does not have a Chase account. She and my {$1000.00} will never be found. The only thing left to investigate is the bank teller who wrongly approved the check. There is NO reason why restoring the funds to my account should be contingent upon the completion of Chase 's investigation into their teller. Multiple Chase employees have confirmed to me that this is clearly check fraud. I was victimized once by Chase when their teller gave " XXXX '' {$1000.00} from my account. I am being victimized a second time by being told by Chase that they need to complete their investigation before the funds can be returned to my account. I am a XXXX XXXX XXXX Social Security recipient and I have a ton of medical bills I need to pay. It is morally wrong and offensive that Chase has the unmitigated gall to take this indefensible, cravenly greedy position with a customer! There is no logical reason why Chase can not return my money to me immediately.

Consumer Complaint: Dispute # XXXX I would like to reopen the initial dispute that was charged on my Chase Card XX/XX/XXXX, and was being investigated during in XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX. There was a charge on my card from XXXX of XXXX XXXX for a product that was not received. As the dispute was being reviewed by the company on XX/XX/XXXX, I had a phone conversation with the merchant. We came to an agreement that in place of upgraded I would instead be provided with a premier dealer grade service package that would honor my cars complete services for the next XXXX miles. This package was to be a dealer level service, and would be honored at ALL XXXX locations. The receipt of this transaction was provided and acknowledged through email. After obtaining this service had called XXXX of XXXX. I have previously done business with them numerous times in the past, and they are a preferred dealership where I take my car. I spoke to XXXX XXXX, the service manager, and I was going to bring my car in for service during the holidays. XXXX informed me that they would not honor the service package that XXXX of XXXX XXXX provided me. After this conversation I called and emailed the manager of the XXXXXXXX XXXX dealership who informed me he would reach out to them and resolve any issues. He also proceeded to tell me I could bring my car to XXXX of XXXX XXXX in the meantime for service. I proceeded to schedule my appointment, however, the soonest I could get my car in was XXXX of XXXX. This was 2 months later. I had no other conversation at this point. It was my understanding that the issue was then resolved. On the day of my appointment time. I promptly went to XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX at my scheduled time. Upon arrival no one had any indication I was to be there. When they were taking my information I handed the service advisor my " XXXX XXXX '' card. At this point they had no idea of the service plan I was given. They instructed me at this time to speak with a service manager. After a brief conversation he also informed me he had no history of the purchased service plan, and would not work on my car. It has been months, and I have received 0 products or service from XXXX of XXXX XXXX, but yet they have received my money. I have never had a service / purchase history from this dealership. I strongly feel this is a case of fraud. I have uploaded documents to support my case and have them referenced to the case number above.

Consumer Complaint: The Chase Bank in XXXX AZ is where my potential mother-in-law banks, exclusively. I opened an account at my local XXXX Oregon Chase so that we could easily transfer money and as she advised me to do. One day I get a call from the future mother-in-law. She said she'd arrived back from the bank ; she couldnt transfer any money into my brand new account. She continued. The teller told me that you wouldnt be able to use your ATM card, make withdrawals, deposits, transfers or do online banking because of some type of fraudulent activity happening. She recommends me to... get ahold of the bank and sort it out immediately! She ... would wait until it is sorted out to transfer. the much needed funds. I apologized more then needed, it showed how much embarrassment I felt. I assured her that I could not think of any reason why this would be happening. I also had to assured others who had quickly found out over the course of a weekend. This ordeal left me feeling unexpected shame. I must look like a liar! My banking history in combination with my almost perfect credit score is something I am very proud of. Its a mistake and I was sure that the FRAUD that I was accused of committing has to be the other way around I suggested that maybe someone else had tried to charge my account fraudulently? Chase had my best interest at hand, after all. I called the bank. I learned how the government funded checks that I had attempted to deposit were rejected. I had done so to help a very dear friend of mine. The checks did not make it past the third party verification process. The representative I spoke with assured me that all funds were frozen and admits that everything the mother in law had said was true. I demanded the reason for this. What was stated next is the direct opposite from the morning I opened my account. I was told upon opening my account that third party checks are dealt with on a case by case bases however the bank employee assured me that I shouldnt be subjected to such scrutiny. I was left feeling confident. I felt confidence that I would not have any problems banking with Chase, and why should I? Now after an hour of prodding they finally reveal the reasons for the rejection. I did not yet have the amount in my account to cover the entire amount of the deposit. On top of that, it was then illustrated to me that the back office could not find any appropriate relationship between me and the person the check had been originally written for. For that being admitted really hurt me and wounded my dignity. The fact was clear, I am a younger XXXX who is also a XXXX person and the person the check had been originally written to was a very elderly XXXX. Had I been an older professional white male this transaction would not have been questioned. This is a violation of privacy, discriminatory as well as arbitrary. Chase is very aware of the situation. Its been close to a year and I am still fighting to get funds released and my account back in good standing. Only getting a courtesy call from Chases executive office alerting me in a very authoritative and questioning tone We take complaints about discrimination very seriously. The tone used was to intimidate me. . How should I proceed.

Consumer Complaint: Chase Bank is paying approximately .01 % interest in savings balances. When the national interest rates were near zero, that made sense. Now, short term interest rates are near 4 %. The bank is taking advantage of small savers and making massive profits with the miniscule payouts to their savings customers. Probably happening at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX Should be getting some national attention. Can you help bring this to light????

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2023 I made a purchase on XXXX. I purchased this reservation on the understanding of the rate for a 3-night stay as {$320.00}. The reservation was for XXXX XXXX. There was a banner above the purchase stating the reservation had a free cancellation until XX/XX/2023. This website is deceptively named to suggest a relationship with whatever hotel the purchaser believes the reservation is made under. In this case, it came up as a sponsored website after a XXXX search for XXXX XXXX, and the link showed it as XXXX. After I made the purchase, I got an email for a total amount of {$1300.00} and the summary that the purchase was prepaid and nonrefundable. I called my CHASE card that I made the purchase with, and they have not helped me to resolve my dispute. On XX/XX/XXXX, within 10 minutes of making the purchase, I called CHASE and the representative said they could not do anything until the charge posted to my account ( XXXX XXXX is my husband and the primary cardholder ). They recommended I reach out to the merchant. I called the phone number listed on the reservation confirmation, XXXX, and the message was that this reservation is non-refundable but to say I had the option to cancel, change, or keep the reservation. I hung up at this point because CHASE appeared to have a dispute process that I could follow to get my money back. Yesterday, XX/XX/XXXX, I called CHASE and verified that the charge of {$1300.00} had posted to my account. The dispute department representative stated that CHASE couldn't proceed with the dispute process until the reservation was cancelled. I shared my concerns that the website was operating fraudulently and that my communication from them was that the reservation was non-refundable. The CHASE representative stated that in order to proceed with the dispute process I would have to cancel the reservation. I did call guestreservations and cancel the reservation, and shortly after got a cancellation confirmation email. I called CHASE back and was then informed that since the company had a policy of that reservation being nonrefundable, they could not proceed with any type of dispute process. I talked to the fraud department but they said they could not count it as fraud since I had provided my card info and authorized the charges. I explained that I had not agreed to the total at time of purchase, but the fraud department said that the most they could do was to lodge a comment about the company. I called guestreservations back to try to " un-cancel '' my reservation since I could not now dispute it, but the representative I spoke with stated it was not able to be reinstated and that, again, my money was nonrefundable. I called the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX and they said that the hotel did show a record of a reservation for XXXX XXXX in my name, but that it showed as being cancelled yesterday morning. I am now out {$1300.00}, in part because the CHASE representative counselled me to cancel the reservation as part of the dispute process that they will not now honor. If I had not called guestreservations to cancel, I would at least have had a legitimate reservation to use for my money.

Consumer Complaint: On the XXXX of XXXX, XXXX. I deposited a check in the amount of {$400.00} to my chase account. My deposit cleared 48 hours later to which my account was randomly restricted. I was told by the fraud retention group, after 7 days this account restriction would be removed. They were hoping during this time, the check would return. But, a legitimate check has no reason to return. They have me in financial strife currently due to me being unable to access completely cleared funds that I am entitled to. As of XX/XX/XXXX my deposit has still not returned and I am unable to access my account. I have no online access to my account either. Chase Bank has tried to reach out to the check maker, and still will not kindly release my funds after promising a release date of 7 business days from my deposit.
