Issue: Opening an account
Subissue: Didn't receive terms that were advertised
Consumer Complaint: At the end of XX/XX/2023 or early XX/XX/2023, I opened a Chase checking account using a promotional code. The promo code required a direct deposit to receive a bonus of {$300.00}. The promo stated that the bonus would be paid within 15 days after the deposit. On XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX, I made direct, payroll deposits into the Chase checking account. Over 30 days later, I have still not received the promo. I spoke to 7 or 8 Chase representatives on XX/XX/2023. Most of them agreed that I met the terms of the promo, but they kept transferring me to other representatives to actually receive the promo bonus. Ultimately, Chase never paid the promo bonus.

Consumer Complaint: Include dates, amounts, and actions that were taken by you or the company. On XX/XX/XXXX, I made purchase number ORDER # XXXX at XXXX XXXX I used my Chase Credit card points to do so. I then canceled the order later that day. I have yet to receive my points back. The total points I am missing amount to : XXXX and on for some bizarre reason, XXXX pts. on XX/XX/XXXX. I spoke to both parties at least 5x each, and each blames the other. First, XXXX said refunds could take 3-5 business days. Then, when that didn't happen XXXX said wait for the billing cycle to end. Of course, THAT did not happen. So XXXX said of wait another month ( 2 months in total???? ). By now, it's been nearly three months! Meanwhile, I was also on the horn with Chase trying to resolve. Chase said I need to tell XXXX to send them back, and XXXX says Chase needs to ask for them back! A claims they never asked for payment bc it was canceled, so they can't give me back what they did not receive, and Chase said they sent the points immediately and as per their own policy re points, and hey did not wait for shipment like they do when they preauthorize credit. I have never received either the product or my points refund. Thank you VERY much

She stated that her company and her name were fraudulently used to sell this equipment and that approximately two weeks prior to this she received a call from another person who also thought they had purchased a piece of equipment from her company. On XX/XX/2023, I attempted to contact Chase Bank fraud department. The person I spoke to advised me to contact my bank, XXXX XXXX. I contacted my banker, XXXX XXXX, and advised him of the situation. He immediately submitted paperwork to Chase Bank that this was a fraudulent wire transfer. He also advised that he had a contact at Chase Bank that he could call. Consumer Complaint: I received a check from Chase Bank dated XX/XX/XXXX ( # XXXX ) on XX/XX/XXXX. I attempted to cash the check two times at our local branch. The first time the teller advised that the account was closed, she was right, I no longer have my business. I provided ID and she said I need the account number? its not in our system. I went back for the seconded time and provided the closed account number ; the teller advised she could not cash the check from them because its over 6 months old. I was advised to call the number on the check which I did. After an hour on hold I was advised see a banker in the bank, so I called the number listed and got another recording, after an hour and listening to a computer I figured I would just go there again, I was told to call the number and make an appointment over the system? This is why I no longer bank with Chase, do I need too take them to small claims court over XXXX XXXX dollars and get a judgment?. Please advise. Thank you.

Consumer Complaint: I noticed a credit balance on my account in decemeber. I contacted Chase to understand the reason there was a credit on my account of {$170.00} as of XX/XX/XXXX and they informed me that there was an overpayment. I inquired more and they directed me to submit a balance refund form. I verified that the balance was not a mistake and they confirmed. I filled out the form on XX/XX/XXXX and received the credit on XX/XX/XXXX. On my account activity from XXXX there was a reversal of the XX/XX/XXXX payment ( listed as XX/XX/XXXX ). I contacted Chase via phone on XX/XX/XXXX and was informed that there was a mistake and the payment should never have been applied to my account. Due to this I currently have a balance that is owed and Chase is unwilling to allow me to file a complaint or contest the charge. They sent me money that they told me was owed to me and are now telling me that it was not my money despite me checking and verifying with them previously.
