Consumer Complaint: Over 2 years ago my identity was stolen. XXXX allowed someone to open a XXXX acct under my maiden name. I have not been that name in over 10 years. The account was opened in XXXXXXXX and I have lived in XXXX for over 10 years. No matter how many times I fax the documents that XXXX or whatever collection agency they turn it over too they do not fix it. Even though everytime I call XXXX and refax the documents they assure me everything is fixed and not to worry. I just went thru this in XXXX 2016 and I am going thru it again now as they have reported the XXXX act against my credit/SS # as a charge off which has totally messed up my credit. I call XXXX and nothing gets resolved. I call the credit collection and nothing gets fixed. I have faxed and refaxed the documents more times than I can count. What does a person have to do to get something resolved like this. I have more than proven it is fraud acct that I do n't owe and should not be responsible for. I have done everything I have been told to do and still nothing but a bad mark against me that I ca n't get anyone to fix!! PLEASE HELP ME!!! I have been calm, cried, screamed done everything!! EVERYTHING THEY HAVE ASKED YET NO ONE FIXES THIS AND IT IS DESTROYING MY CREDIT.

Consumer Complaint: Hello, My wife and I called XXXX XXXX to get an estimate on how much money it would cost us to file our taxes. They said we would have to come into the office and bring our documents for them to see to give us the estimate. When we arrived at their office XXXX XXXX said that our initial consultation was free and they would start charging once the work started. At that time we asked XXXX what the next step was, and we were informed that we needed to pay {$75.00} for a power of attorney so they could access our paperwork. XXXX took longer than what seemed necessary to get the form entered on the screen and we questioned her if she needed help entering the info on the screen. We assisted her with the information repeatedly to get it all entered, and finally got everything entered. Unfortunately we felt that after this process that possibly XXXX may have some difficulty doing her job, and did n't feel confident in using the firm. We called her secretary following this appointment to discuss whether XXXX is having cognitive or senility difficulties. The secretary asked us if we were going to continue to use their firm, and I said no. We expected to get the bill for the {$75.00} for the power of Attorney, but when the bill came in the mail it was for {$890.00}. I feel this is a gross misuse of billing. I was told the estimate for the work was free. Than XXXX took a long time talking about her other clients and what she does for them, giving examples of what she has done for them. It looks like they are charging us for listening to her long drawn out sales pitch. I am only willing to pay the {$75.00} that we agreed to pay for the Power of Attorney for to be submitted online. This we already consider a loss based on the fact that we did not feel comfortable to have them actually do our work. I contacted them to complain about the bill, and they said they are charging me for the time. I said " What time '' I was told free estimate and {$75.00} for the power of attorney. I also said " You did n't do anything for us to justify charging us {$890.00}. Are you you trying to take advantage of us? ". They refused to hear our opinion, and now we have a second bill from them through a Bill collector called IC System. This is completely unfair.

Consumer Complaint: This is a complaint regarding a notice I received from a law firm about a debt I incurred to a medical team. The problem is : this is not a debt I owe. The original bill was paid in full and I have the canceled checks proving the doctor 's office cashed them. Apparently, the invoice was submitted to a collection agency even though it had been paid, then re-sold to other companies, in what I assume was a list of junk debt. Most of these companies, even though they list their businesses as debt recovery services, do n't recover anything and simply repackage and resell the list to other debt recovery services that do the same. The last company to obtain the list, IC System XXXX Inc, lists their business address in XXXX, MN allegedly hired the firm of XXXX XXXX LLC in XXXX, MA to recover the already paid debt. I find it disgusting that I have to waste my time, energy, and money to fight a claim that should n't even be a claim. I am tired of all these companies washing their hands with rhetoric while stating that the claim looked legitimate at the time, or that they were conducting business based on the information given to them, blah, blah, blah. It should be illegal for companies to sell debt to XXXX another while making money on the backs of those individuals who ca n't afford to pay exorbitant medical bills. I will be contacting my state 's representatives on this matter to help circumvent this practice. This is nothing more than harassment, worse than telemarketers phone calls. At least I can hang up on them.

Consumer Complaint: I received a call from I.C Systems. They asked me to verify who I was and I would n't do it. They asked to verify my address and I would n't do it but then I asked them why were they calling, but yet they would n't say why until I told them who I was and verified my address. After I would n't do that, the guy got really nasty with me and I hung up the phone and then blocked their number on my cell. However, they still call my cell house phone that I do not answer. Every time some one calls from I.C Systems, they refuse to tell me why they are calling until I verify who I am, but I refuse to verify anything because they wo n't tell me who they are.

Consumer Complaint: I contacted XXXX to inquire about lowering my monthly bill. They suggested I do automatic withdrawal. I decided against having it automatically deducted so I did nothing. I continued to make my payments on the first of the month ( 2 weeks before they were due ). Six months later I decided to change service providers and was told that since I had inquired about automatic deduction ( which I did n't ) I had entered into a new contract and there was a cancellation fee of {$150.00}. I signed nothing, simply inquired about lowering my monthly bill since I am on a fixed income. I either pay or my credit rating is affected.
