Issue: Written notification about debt
Subissue: Didn't receive enough information to verify debt
Consumer Complaint: I XXXX XXXX am trying to resolve a debt situation, whereas I made the mistake of signing on for several cell phones where relatives were supposed to pay the invoices. However, they reneged to pay directly to XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, or even pay me directly. I attach a settlement offer from IC System for 55 % on the dollar. That is generous, but not affordable. I am really pressed for any cash, and I respectfully request a lighter settlement in the vicinity of 20 %, or {$500.00} one time payment. I will need to borrow some of these funds, but I desire to put this experience behind me. Thank you for your consideration in this matter. XXXX XXXX

Consumer Complaint: I had one account with XXXX for mobile phone service, it was reported on my credit as a collection. Later on, there was a second account from XXXX reported on my credit for collection, it was for XXXX XXXX, a home utilities. The XXXX was not my account, so I disputed it and it was deleted from my credit report. The XXXX account was only in my mother 's name. I later get a notice for collection from a different collection agency after the other is deleted. I call the new collection agency and they try to tell me it was fraud and tried to get me to open up a fraud report on my mother saying she must have signed my name as a cosigner. This was not true and I tried to explain that we had two accounts with XXXX for different things but in the same household and under different names, that it was a mistake by XXXX in reporting it. They did not listen.
