I have identified the following issues with each bureau : I am bringing to your attention that the inaccuracies reported by these credit bureaus violate the Fair Credit Reporting Act ( 15 USC 1681 et seq. ), specifically Section 1681i, which mandates a reinvestigation of disputed information, and Section 1681s-2, which outlines the duties of furnishers of information. Additionally, the Privacy Act of 1974 ( 5 USC 552a ) requires accurate reporting and maintenance of records by agencies, including credit reporting agencies. I believe the inaccuracies on my credit reports constitute a violation of these statutory provisions. Consumer Complaint: Per the FCRA, I XXXX XXXX as a federally protected consumer, I am now opting out of any and all authorization I the consumer may have given you written, unwritten, verbal and nonverbal per 15 USC 6802 to report my information to a third party, effective immediately and indefinitely. Please update account to PAID AS AGREED. I understand that the debt has been charged off/certificate of indebtedness and can not be reported to my credit report. I am requesting compensation {$1000.00} for every violation. According to the Fair Credit Reporting Act 15 USC 1681 section 602 a states ( Permissible purposes of consumer reports, you can not report transaction history ). " There is a need to insure that consumer reporting agencies exercise their grave responsibilities with fairness, impartiality, and a respect for the consumers right to privacy. Privacy Act of 1974 the Privacy Act of 1974, a law that protects the privacy of individuals by regulating the collection, maintenance, use, and disclosure of their records by Federal agencies. 15 U.S. Code 1681n - Civil liability for willful noncompliance for obtaining a consumer report under false pretenses or knowingly without a permissible purpose, actual damages sustained by the consumer as a result of the failure or {$1000.00}, whichever is greater. 313.1 Purpose and scope. ( a ) Purpose. This part governs the treatment of nonpublic personal information about consumers by the financial institutions listed in paragraph ( b ) of this section. Consumer Complaint: According to 15 use 1681eb Everything must be 100 percent max accurate The credit bureaus keep disrespecting the laws. I showed them multiple times of how they are violating the Fair Credit Reporting Act. According to 15 use 1681 ( 5 ) The credit bureaus said everything was complete and accurate and I asked them how if the open date is wrong. Then I ask them to provide me description of the investigation according to 15 USC 1681 ( 7 ) and they never did. I have proof of my letter for that. Also according to 15 USC 1681 s-2 A person shall not furnish any information relating to a consumer to any consumer reporting agency if the person knows or has reasonable cause to believe that the information is inaccurate.
