Consumer Complaint: These disputes have been escalated several times, and I have provided extensive documentation to support my claims. However, despite my efforts and the escalation of these matters, the inaccurate late payment accounts persist on my credit reports. I was the victim and XXXX not sure why the CRA is not complying with the law. The other bureaus have followed suit. XXXX very confused why this one seems to ignore my requests. I am concerned that despite my continued efforts to resolve these issues, the inaccuracies in reporting have not been rectified. I question why your bureau has not conducted a thorough investigation into the validity of the late payment accounts and failed to provide accurate information on my credit reports. Consumer Complaint: Equifax has violated my federally protected consumer rights under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. They have violated my rights by furnishing transaction details [ 15 U.S.C. 1681a ( 2 ) ( a ) ( i ) between the person ( means any individual, partnership, corporation, trust, estate, cooperative, association, government or governmental subdivision or agency, or other entity. ) and consumer ( me ) without my prior consent, pursuant to Title 15 U.S.C. 1681b ( 2 ). According to Title 15 U.S.C. 1681c ( 5 ), " no consumer reporting agency may report any consumer report containing any adverse item of information, other than records of conviction of crime '', yet they furnished negative item transactions on my report on a disputed debt. By violating 15 U.S.C. 1682b permissible purposes and 15 U.S.C. 1681c information contained in consumer reports, they have violated compliance procedures under 15 U.S.C. 1681e. Equifax has willfully violated my consumer rights and is liable to civil suit under 15 U.S.C. 1681n. They are also liable to civil liability for negligent noncompliance under 15 U.S.C. 1681o.
