Consumer Complaint: A company known as XXXX XXXX also known as XXXX XXXX has made attempts to collect money not owed and processed transactions for items I did not receive. The company attempted and completed charges to my credit card for items not owed nor did I receive or have possession of. XXXX XXXX also charged my card for amounts not even initially agreed upon in the amounts of {$140.00} and {$20.00} because the agreed to amount was {$280.00}. I initiated a contract in XXXX of XXXX for furniture for my father who has become ill. The first amount was processed that month in the amount of {$280.00} and would be {$280.00} thereafter according to the agreement. My credit card was charged for random amounts such as {$20.00} and {$140.00} which was never agreed to. The furniture was order in XX/XX/XXXX and I was told it would arrive in a few weeks. I was concerned with my father 's health and what would happen if I wanted to cancel the items and was told not to worry because I would be able to cancel the items at anytime and any amounts paid would be refunded in the event he had to have assisted living. My father became XXXX XXXX in XXXX of XXXX and I called the XXXX location to cancel the items which is where I initiated the agreement with XXXX XXXX and they said it would all be taken care of. I brought my father to the XXXX County Hospital Emergency Room in XX/XX/XXXX and he ultimately passed away in XX/XX/XXXX. However, I was still being charged for the furniture I did not pick up and XXXX XXXX stated that no one cancelled the order as discussed, but knew that the items were still at the XXXX location. I emailed XXXX XXXX in XX/XX/XXXX basically reiterating the same conversations I had with the XXXX location and with XXXX XXXX explaining that these items were cancelled and are still at the XXXX location. Everyone acknowledges that the items are at the XXXX location but still will not process a refund. I had these charges put on my Discover card thinking that I would have some protection in the event of problems because I was paying for items in advance of receiving them. I contacted XXXX to have these charges reversed because no one is doing anything at XXXX XXXX or at XXXX about these charges to my credit card. XXXX informed me today that their options are limited and said that the charges will remain on the card. Its like a nightmare because I have to relive the time my father passed away by having to re-explain why I cancelled items for purchases for a loved one that passed away. I am simply requesting a refund for items which is only fair because I never had possession of those items nor did I receive those items. I will attach a copy of the follow up email I sent to XXXX XXXX back from XX/XX/XXXX which they never responded nor returned any of my calls and an audio recording of them acknowledging that the lease was cancelled but no refund was ever issued.

When I then called back for status I was told that I was not eligible due to already having been placed on a payment reduction. I now am confused and dont no which way to turn. Consumer Complaint: I have been paying on my Discover credit card without fault since opening the account in XX/XX/2012. it has and APR of around 19 %, recently dropped to 17.2 %. I've called Discover several times regarding the amount ive been paying toward interest. every month, I pay the minimum amount or more ( currently {$420.00} ), and between 70-78 % of the monthly payment ( currently around {$300.00} ) is going toward interest! not 17 or 19 %, which is the APR. currently, I have a balance of around {$20000.00}, and with a minimum payment of {$420.00}, my most recent statement says it would take 40 years to pay off this account, and I would end up paying a total of around {$70000.00}. when I speak with Discover card representatives, they do not seem to be able to explain this at all. if you plug these numbers into a debt repayment calculator, a {$20000.00} balance, paid at {$420.00} a month, with a 17 % APR, this shows an estimated payoff time of 81 months ( just under 7 years ), and with a total interest of around {$13000.00}, so I would end up paying a total of around {$33000.00}, which is 2.5 times less than what Discover says, that is, {$13000.00} in interest versus {$50000.00} in interest. There seems to be some highly illegal action taking place here. I would like to be reimbursed for all of the years ( since 2012 ) that I have paid this astronomical apparently 75 % APR, for my account to set to {$0.00} balance, and a more fair 10 % APR instated.

Consumer Complaint: Discover is reporting that I have missed 2 payments. I have paid {$300.00} a month for over a year. I have been unemployed for over a year so {$300.00} a month is all I can afford. I have not missed any payments. I realize {$300.00} is less than the minimum payment. Discover combines 2 payments I send to cover the minimum payment for one month and then reports I missed a payment and they charge me late fees, which has put me over my credit limit so the amount I owe them continues to rise, as the {$300.00} I send is not enough to cover the interest and late fees. According to my Discover statement it will take me 48 years to pay them. Interest charged as of XX/XX/2019 : {$1500.00} Late fees : {$220.00} In the meantime my credit score drops monthly. I have tried numerous times over the past year to come to some type of payment arrangement. Discover Card admits they have record of receiving {$300.00} a month. Discover calls me up to 5 times a day. Discover states they will not work with me unless I give them access to my bank account.

Consumer Complaint: Its been a month ( XX/XX/XXXX ) since Ive asked Discover to send XXXX XXXX their money back for a balance transfer that was sent from XXXX XXXX to Discover in error. Ive called Discover numerous times and was told to wait longer. Finally, on XX/XX/2019 I called Discover and was told that XXXX XXXX must fax a request for the money ( no one called me to tell me Discover is waiting for this fax ), yet XXXX XXXX already sent this request back on XX/XX/XXXX ( trace # XXXX ). Discovers customer service throughout this fiasco has been tragic and infuriating. Today I spoke with the executive office after filing a XXXX complaint to expedite this crucial issue, and I was simply told there is an an open investigation with no promise of performance. Consumer Complaint: Discover closed my account and took my {$1500.00} security deposit even after I filed a fraud investigation that my card was used without my authorization. Their fraud investigation representative ignored all my voice messages during the time of the investigation to eventually no response. My account was closed and deposit was taken improperly. It has been a 18 month police long investigation gathering documents the detective needed to finalize my police report. I am requesting my security deposit back and the balances owed to be cleared from my name as the charges were not authorized by me. They can obtain the documents from the SLPD to gather information. Consumer Complaint: In the process of filing bankruptcy and was instructed to show activity on my discover account until filed. I set up an auto payment of {$5.00}. I just found out that for the last 2 months, they have attempted to take out XXXX and then XXXX from my bank. I called and their answer was that there is a disclosure that states that the full minimum will be taken if the " other '' amount I select is less than th mimimum. I canceled and set up a new one to be sure and the disclosure is in small print and confusing verbiage. I believe this is an unfair and deceptive practice that needs to be addressed. They said they don't do this for 1 time payments so why would they do it for an auto payment? This practice needs to be stopped.
