Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2019, I stated clearly to DISCOVER that I was taking the offer for balance transfer of 0% APR at 3% Transfer fee instead of the alternative 4.99% APR at 0% Transfer fee. Then on XX/XX/2019 at XXXX XXXX they show an email notifying the transaction as made at 4.99% and 0% Transfer fee. I initiated a dispute by phone on XX/XX/2019 and although they sent an email without detailing my claim I did send an email summarizing my claim on XX/XX/2019, I received a vague reply on XX/XX/2019 indicating my dispute was address yet DISCOVER account site still shows the debt at 4.99% APR and 0% Transfer fee. How can DISCOVER make an offer with two alternatives and then stick to the one I don't like. Can you present my alternatives? Balance Transfer # XXXX for $XXXX

Consumer Complaint: REFERRING BACK TO CASE NUMBER # XXXX They charged me {$1400.00} in sole interest for the months of XX/XX/XXXX thru XX/XX/XXXX. They applied all the payments i made from XXXX XXXX towards 100 % interest. They claim I have accrued interest from XX/XX/XXXX thru XX/XX/XXXX but fail to send me the proper documentation proving that. I called on XX/XX/XXXX XXXX and asked one of the senior advisors to send me supporting documentation or at least a contract. They said they would send me my contract and never did. I also recorded another representative claiming there was something wrong with my account and said that i should not have been paying that much interest. They also fail to provide receipt or a breakdown of interest for the months they claiming i owe {$1400.00} of interest. When I called complaining about this situation they said that the next month my principal balance would go down. This seems as if they screwed up and now their trying to fix it but since payments have already been processed they are trying to cover it up with supposedly accumulated interest. Their system says accumulated interest but they can't breakdown the interest in paper from the months of XXXX XXXX from which months they claim. They fail to provide the necessary documentation to prove I was accumulating interest from the months of XXXX-XXXX of XXXX. It is mathematically incorrect. If we calculate the interest from XXXX thru XXXX I would be paying approx {$220.00} in interest every month. Thats about {$660.00} in interest. That number still does not equate to {$1400.00}. Also my late fees were reimbursed from restructuring my account. Even if we charged interest on top of interest which im not sure if that is even legal, it still does not equate to {$1400.00}. In the letter it stated from AS OF XX/XX/XXXX MY INTEREST RATE WILL BE 5 %. Again, I am asking for a breakdown which your call center could not provide. I am asking for a breakdown of interest with numbers and supporting documents stating i am paying {$1400.00} in interest. I'm 100 % certain discover is committing white collar theft because of a screw up and will be pursuing legal action if nothing is satisfied.

Consumer Complaint: I had a Discover card charged off in XX/XX/XXXX. I was sent a 1099-C in XX/XX/XXXX. This account is reporting opened and resolving and is still affecting my utilization even though it was canceled. Ive made 3 phone calls to Discover since the 1099-C to ask to make a payment In full so it stops affecting my FICO utilization. They say it is canceled and there is no way to pay my balance. So if the debt is canceled and they wont let me pay how can this balance be revolving utilization?

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I ordered an item from XXXX. I was charged {$140.00} on XX/XX/XXXX. The estimated shipping time would have the item arriving at my residence on XX/XX/XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX I received an email notifying me my item had been delivered to my address. I checked the mailbox, there was no such item there. No package had been left on my front porch, nor was any package on the back porch, and the next door neighbors hadn't received anything in my name. I contacted XXXX to notify them of the missing package on XX/XX/XXXX. They told me they would investigate the issue to determine the package 's status. On XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX sent me an email which stated " the tracking number shows the item was delivered, this case is now closed ''. At that point I disputed the charge with Discover and provided the pertinent information to them. On XX/XX/10 I was notified by Discover that they had reversed the charge-back and sided with the merchant, and Discover requested I provide them with information supporting my claim. I called Discover on XX/XX/10 and asked them what information I could provide regarding an item that had never arrived at my residence. They were not able to give me an answer because there is no way someone can prove they didn't receive something. Subsequent phone calls to XXXX to try to get further help from them, the merchant, have gone nowhere, as XXXX has been unable to find my order information during follow up conversations. It's like XXXX lost all record of the transaction after I submitted the dispute.

I still have not received written confirmation of these actions. As I stated before : I am a victim of identity theft. I recently learned that my personal information was used to open an account at this company. I did not open or authorize this account, and I requested that it be closed immediately. They did not send me written confirmation that I am not responsible for charges on this account, and did not take appropriate steps to remove information about this account from my credit files.

Issue: Improper use of your report
Subissue: Credit inquiries on your report that you don't recognize
Consumer Complaint: To whom it may concern : I got an alert on my XXXX XXXX in where there was an application for credit for a DISCOVER CARD. This application was submitted on XX/XX/2019. I did not submit or apply for a DISCOVER CARD at that time. Once I realized this was a fraudulent use of my social security information I notified DISCOVER on XX/XX/2019. The customer service agent I spoke to stated he would notate it and that it was declined as the information from the application didnt match that what was on my credit report. I asked him to please remove the inquiry from my credit report when he stated I would have to write each credit bureau first so they could send an investigation request. I stated why couldnt he have it removed since the information was shown not to match what was on my file and that I called DISCOVER notifying that this inquiry was not authorized by me. I would like to have this inquiry removed immediately and each credit bureau notified this was a fraudulent application and unauthorized credit inquiry.
