Consumer Complaint: I was email phished for a job as a Regional Branch Purchasing Manager in XXXX XXXX XXXX - US Branch. Through a series of interactions they convinced me to purchase XXXX Laptops from my local XXXX XXXX and ship them to a person and location in Florida. They assured me they would pay for the charges and provided me an account number to enter into my credit card payment. It looked like it was paying then a week or two later the payment reversed and their email and phone number no longer worked. I have the receipts both paper and email. I also have all the email correspondence. XXXX XXXX on XXXXXXXX for {$16000.00}. XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/19 for {$13000.00}. XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/19 for {$1300.00}. XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/19 for {$15.00}. USPS on XX/XX/19 for {$240.00}. USPS on XX/XX/19 for {$260.00}. USPS on XX/XX/19 for {$310.00}. During this time Capital One never questioned these charges and never spoke with me about the payments reversing. Up until this time I sporadically used the card and had a manageable balance. These charges in the month of May were over 3x what I had previously charged on the card for the entire time I had it. When I spoke to their fraud department they said since it was me who made the purchases they were not liable. I think they were and they failed to protect me and never questioned these unusually large purchaes or why the payments I made on their website were reversing.

Consumer Complaint: I placed an order through walmart.com and unfortunately never received a merchandise I said inform Walmart that I never received the product and they informed me that it wasnt anything I can do I have time to dispute with capital one bank, and they also have not done with your diligence to help me resolve this claim. I have requested for capital one to submit their proof or findings of me having this product, and I have had no substantial answer from them. As of todays date, they just want me to pay for a product that Im not a possession of.

Consumer Complaint: I made a payment to Capital One on XX/XX/XXXX via a cashier 's check for {$4100.00}. The check was sent through XXXX with tracking # XXXX delivered on XX/XX/XXXX signed for by XXXX XXXX at Payment Processing Capital One XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX NC XXXX. The cashier 's check cleared XXXX XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX. The payment was never posted to my account. I started an investigation with capital on XX/XX/XXXX Case number XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX, a letter stating that proof of check was needed. I faxed over copies of the check, letter, XXXX slip and proof of delivery. On XX/XX/XXXX received another letter from capital one stating that was not enough information/proof. On XX/XX/XXXX faxed over proof of the cleared cashier 's check. On XX/XX/XXXX received a letter from capital one stating that We received your request concerning your payment for {$4100.00}, processed on XX/XX/XXXX. Your account was not credited because the funds were sent to an invalid account and returned to the originating bank account. I have not received the money back to my original account. I have contacted capital one several time and they do not have an answer as to where my {$4100.00} is at. One of the last phone calls we had both financial institutions on the line and capital one told XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX that they returned the original check back to them, which would not work due to check was already cleared. Then the next person for capital one said that she needed to start a new case to find out where the money is at. This payment was not made to any type of loan that has a lien attached to the account. It was made to a credit card payment. I have requested a check number and tracking number from capital one. Capital one would not provide this information to me. I also, requested that they do a stop payment on the check and deposit the funds into my checking account with capital one. They would not accommodate this request. They then informed me that the funds were being sent back electronically, I advised them with XXXX XXXX XXXX on the line, that they can not return electronically due to the check was a cashiers check.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I found a deal on hotel from reservations.com for XXXX dollars for XXXX nights. I clicked on the reserve button looked at information it said XXXX plus taxes and fees so I hit the button and it said my room was confirmed but when the email came they charged XXXX dollars XXXX in taxes to my credit card. I cancelled the room right away but they made it a hassle I started dispute with capital one right away. This has been going on months i call capital one they say send this and it work but i always get immediate dispute deny then they close case even this last time they said file it under new thing immediately they denied. I cancelled for overcharge XXXX minutes after reservations.com did that and it was over a month and half early. I paid XXXX for a room that wasn't as good because i was still going on trip. They told me call and ask hotel cancel and if it was ok. I did they said it's fine but reservations.com had to do it. I am not and can't afford pay almost XXXX dollars for nothing but having a room for XXXX minutes month and half early. The hotel now says I'm not in computer meaning they sold the room again this is just crazy it's like they are allowing total fraud and people get ripped off. I need help i have all the information and proof all i can think of is take it small claims court and just not pay the bill. Please help XXXX is a lot of money for me it's a month of XXXX and XXXX hours weeks all for nothing.

Consumer Complaint: My capital one account was closed after I reported that a false/fraud check was deposited into my account and my identity was stolen and they retrieve the funds and me not knowing, now my account was negative, my IRS deposit XXXX set to go in on the XXXX of XX/XX/2023, and my account was closed as email stated on XX/XX/XXXX. I reached out to bank, and they mentioned to me that the credit was credited and that I remain with negative balance, when I reported fraud no case was open the bank mentioned that I had called when I did not, someone stole my identity and is using it to open accounts and get into my funds. Bank mentioned I am responsible for the negative balance, why is the bank holding me accountable when i reported fraud and all they decided to do was end there relationship, capital XXXX is stealing my money, I need my refund to be send back to the IRS and the bank reject also any upcoming deposits, please reach out to me as soon as possible. So we can take care of this matter and fraud claim should have been made and protocols should have been followed.
