Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I spoke with a offshore representative from Capital One XXXX XXXX name XXXX at XXXX I asked him to provide a pay off balance to pay to XXXX out my account since prior the call I paid over XXXX wanting to XXXX out my balance and previous rep never told me that pay off balance will be different vs what's online. They charged XXXX in Interest. He told me my pay off is XXXX now and he guarantees no more interest will be charged to my account. I made the payment while had him on the phone. On my most recent statement they charged me XXXX interest again! I just poke with an onshore supervisor name XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX at XXXX XXXX and asked her why I'm being charged again she said : XXXX didn't list XXXX transaction as PAY OFF! they charged residual interest and we can't wave it .... ' Where I was told by the XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX that's my the payment I'm making of XXXX is my PAY OFF amount and he guarantees there won't be any more interest charged. Just because he failed to mark XXXX as PAY OFF I was charged with interest again. It's ILLEGAL what Capital One does! She refused to look up the phone conversation. If they record all the calls they much check XX/XX/XXXX call and waive XXXX! I should've never been charged XXXX!!!

I am empowered by our Board of Directors to gain administrative access to all of our financial accounts and records. I have called customer service and was escalated to a supervisor who said that they had no process to transfer control of the account without the participation of the retired signees on the account.

I wanted to send information over in support of my complaint about the payment issue I faced in XX/XX/. As I mentioned in the first report, I made my payment online as I always do. It was not 30 days late. My payment was ultimately the incorrect amount. However, being that we want to keep this factual, the amount was what was presented to me on the mobile site for that account. And that is the amount that I paid. In fact, over the year, I have had to ignore the mobile site each month as I pay those payments because it still gives the incorrect payment due.

Consumer Complaint: When ordering from XXXXXXXX XXXX, I was offered a coupon in app for grocery delivery. With the coupon the order total came to {$80.00}. I payed via XXXX XXXX, and was charged {$80.00}. Hours later later I was charged an additional {$34.00}. Upon checking the app I saw that the total had been changed from {$80.00} to {$110.00}. The coupon has also magically disappeared from the order. I contacted XXXX several times about the coupon and they said they couldnt help me without a screenshot of the coupon. But since the coupon had been used it had been removed from my promotions section of the app. They said they couldnt find the coupon even though I had originally been charged the right price. In the next few days the {$34.00} fell off my account and the {$80.00} charge was changed to XXXX. I continued to contact XXXX for weeks after and even filed a XXXX report. After they failed to assist me I filed a chargeback for the difference of the charge. Almost two months after filing the dispute with Capital One, they email me telling me that my claim was denied. I provided all the valid information in the case that I could. I tried to handle the issue numerous times with XXXX and then was forced to notify the Capital One. Capital One did not make a fair decision based on the information given and has defrauded me of my money.

Consumer Complaint: I contacted the company back in XXXX & discuss the problem of why I was late on my payments I was out of work so later so back in XXXX when I talked to someone he said I may qualify for a payoff so I got the email in XXXX of the amount of what I had to pay I pay the amount that they ask I call them & ask them why am I still getting emails 3 weeks later of the balance I was told it takes time 7 the computer was sending the automated emails out the reason why reaching out to you is because they put it on my credit report as late payments it's like they didn't listen to me paid them what they ask weeks ago & they still reported to XXXX they told me its nothing they can do its aready been send they can't reverse it I was told to dispute it.

Consumer Complaint: I rented a car in XXXX, Ro through Capital One Travel. I used my Capital One Master card. I showed up to pick it up on XX/XX/ at almost XXXX The clerk asked for my driver licenses and a credit card. He very quickly asked me to initial and sign what looked like a car rental contract. I didn't realized there were already amounts printed on the contract. He proceeded to tell me that they charge XXXX a day for insurance. I told him that my insurance probably covers me but I would have to verify with my Insurance company. While we were having the conversation about the insurance cost I got a message on my phone from Capitalone that I was charged XXXX without my knowledge. I was very upset and told him that I would not rent the car any longer. He said no problem and asked me to write cancel by customer and sign on the contract and he also signed. I asked him to refund the XXXX. He said he would not do it and that I should contact Capitalone. He never mentioned that the fees were not refundable. At the time I didn't think it would be a good idea to push the matter since it was past midnight and I didn't feel safe. They were located about 10 minute drive from the airport in a comercial area and there was nobody around. Since I rented through Capitalone I assumed they would have my back. I went back to the airport and rented another car from one of the kiosks for XXXX for the same amount of time which included full covarge insurance. As soon as I got to my hotel I contacted Capitalone and reported the incident. They assured me they would take care of it and all I need to do is contest the charge online. Capital one credited my account the XXXX but did not make it available. On XX/XX/ Capitalone sent me an email telling me that the vendor showed proof that I accepted the charges and place the charge on my account again. They said to contact the vendor directly and resolve the situation. I called Capitalone again but got nowhere. They said since I signed the contract that I was deceived into signing there's nothing they can do. I contacted the vendor ( XXXX XXXX XXXX ) and asked them to refund me the money. They said they would not because I agreed to the charges. So at this point I have to pay for a car rental I never used, a bunch of fees for that car and insurance for a car I never used. This company is a scam and the only reason I used it is because I rented through Capitalone Travel and booked it on my Capitalone card and assumed I was working with a legitimate company. I'm very disappointed with Capitalone and look forward to paying them off and canceling my card.
