Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2020, I reached out to Barclays to resolve an outstanding charged off debt for {$790.00} that was outstanding for over a year at that point. I was told that I was unable to pay off the account, even in full because they were not able to accept a payment and also did not have the account assigned to a 3rd party collector. A month later, I called back to see the status and was told the same thing - I could not resolve the account. Another month later, I called back a third time with the same non-resolution. In the 2nd week of XXXX, 2020 I called back again and was given an address to main a check to and now that payment has been accepted and am waiting for the bureaus to receive an updated XXXX balance. I feel like Barclays held this account XXXX by not allowing me to resolve it and has had an unnecessary detrimental effect on my credit history.

Consumer Complaint: I had a voicemail from a recording saying it needed to be taken care of in a certain amount of time, so I called the number back. A woman who supposedly works for a law firm said I owed {$1800.00} for a line of credit from someone I've never heard of. Then she threatened to take me to court if I didn't pay. Asked about a payment plan, and she said I would have to pay {$55.00} a month for 22 months, and she needed the 1st payment now. Told her I'm unemployed and broke, she threatened to take 25 % of what I have in the bank monthly, and said if I sold any property or anything else I owned, she could take 25 % of it also. Said I had 24 hours to make 1st payment or she will have to get a judgement through court.

Consumer Complaint: Barclays will not remove the charge off remark from my credit report the account has been settled since XXXX, the settlement letter was offered to change the remark however none of the credit bureaus would accept the letter, I was instructed to get a letter from Barclays stating the account is settled however they say the account is with the XXXX XXXX I called XXXX they said the account is with XXXX XXXX XXXX, Barclays since XXXX someone how marked my account open back in XXXX the account has been closed since 2016 how could it reopen after all this time when Barclays states they do not have access to the account when I offered the receipt of payment and letter stating the account is settled they stated there is no fax and no way of updating it on there end. I have been disputing with the supporting documents and XXXX keeps saying they do not see my upload, even XXXX XXXX upload feature keeps saying can not complete dispute temporarily unavailable, and XXXX will not use the evidence provided No the remarks say " Charged off as bad debt Dispute resolved ; customer disagrees '' Please remove Barclay from my credit report Immediately this is my 5th dispute

They had said they would show me in the credit files to all 3 of the major credit agencies and have not. I will also put an attachment from barclay 's website. It is now Middle of XXXX and I do not see this card anywhere on XXXX, XXXX or XXXX. I have called barclay 's a few times. They said they would fix it and it just had to be updated. Consumer Complaint: Due to the pandemic, Barclay 's wanted to run promotions that were relevant to the new conditions we found ourselves in, which included running a promotion for XXXX XXXX. I happen to be a fan of XXXX XXXX so it was a win/win. Around XX/XX/2020, I received an email from Barclay 's with the new promotion that stated " Take-out never tasted so good-get a {$20.00} statement credit '' I have attached an image of the promotion as well. But in short, all I needed to do was make 3 purchases with XXXX XXXX and I will get a statement credit for {$20.00}. I made the purchases and it has been 5 months and I have yet to receive the bonus. I have contacted Barclay 's directly several times about this. The representatives I got on the phone made it clear that it is a known issue within the department and I will receive the bonus within 7 business days of the call. I last called a month ago and still, nothing.

Consumer Complaint: I was sent a credit card opened in my name for Wyndham Rewards that I did not apply for. I called the company back and informed them I did not open a credit card account with them and they needed to close the account. I cut up the card and sent it back to them. I continued receiving bills for {$0.00} balance on that card and the account is still open. I contacted them again XX/XX/20 and was on the phone for several hours only to just get the run around and they claim that account does not exist for my birth date. Someone in the Wyndham company is getting cards using some of their members information that attend their meetings during their vacation. This is a corrupt business and it should be stopped and all of the employees need to go to jail and pay restitution to all of its members that have been held hostage to their contract only to find out that their personal information is being traded and compromised.
