Consumer Complaint: I have been an American Express card holder since 1991. One of their cards I carry is the Platinum Card, with the five last digits XXXX. This card offers " Membership Rewards '' points. As I type this I see XXXX points available in my account. I tried to transfer XXXX XXXX of those points to XXXX, the airplane carrier, through the " transfer points '' option. The system did not allow me to transfer the points, even though that is less than 3 % of my balance. Instead, I get the following message which I will quote verbatim : " This action will not be completed at this time because your account is currently being reviewed to make sure all eligible purchases meet qualifying criteria ''. I have over 30 years of relationship with American Express. To the best of my knowledge I have given them no reason to freeze or withhold my points through these decades. I ask your help to make my points free for use again.

Account statement including sensitive information about my identity and financial account were sent to an address starting with XXXX XXXX XXXX ( the rest of the address was redacted ) on 5 occasions during the past 90 days causing me harm and costing me countless hours of work trying to remedy the issue with both XXXX and American Express to no avail. The unauthorized address changes keep happening. For the record, XXXX is a debt collection company, however, my American Express account is current and not in arrears so the the reason why XXXX has access to my account is unknown.

Consumer Complaint: On 5 different occasions during XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, and XX/XX/XXXX American Express has allowed an unauthorized person to change the address on my account to an address beginning with XXXX XXXX XXXX . For reference, the rest of the address has been redacted on my online profile with American Express so I can not see a city, state, nor zip code. Not only has this been done without my consent but correspondence, including sensitive account information, has been sent to this address according to emails received from American Express. For the record, this address is not mine, has never been mine, nor do I know anyone at this address. I've attempted to work with American Express on securing my account and have spent countless hours doing so to no avail. I've suffered damages from this breach of privacy and plan on pursuing legal action against American Express.

Consumer Complaint: Re : Follow up CFPB Complaint ID : XXXX I'm unsure why my claim couldn't be substantiated but in reaching out to customer service they indeed confirmed my acceptance of the invitation ( XXXX ). Additionally, I've appended the offer letter and supporting documents for your review. If a recording or transcripts of the conversations are necessary we can work with our third party verification services provider to furnish upon request. For reference, my description of events are as follows : In the first quarter of 2020 I received an offer to upgrade from the American Express Green Card to its Gold Card. As part of the offer they included a number of Travel Benefits and credits that were to be applied within subsequent billing cycles. Additionally, their annual membership fee was to be pro-rated to reflect the existing membership fee payments and number of months remaining in the year. I accepted the upgrade offer but unfortunately the benefits and adjustments were never applied as promised and the resulting changes to my account didn't take place as described. It turned out that the representative I spoke with was part of an outsourced support effort specific to the travel offer and misinformed me about the program details. I spent the next several billing cycles attempting to correct the issue - having fees reversed and comparable adjustments applied. However I was assessed a penalty APR rate that began in XXXX which was finally lifted in XXXX of this year. All the while I've been informed that a credit adjustment for the difference in what would have been my standard ARP and this penalty APR would be made. I've made a number of attempts every month since to have this corrected - opening a number of cases with Customer Care only to have no follow up or resolution and ending with a representative pointing me to the Cardmembers Agreement with what appears to be no review of the history or details of the issue.

Amex states my payment history is unsatisfactory ; All 3 credit agencies report no deliquent payments by me ever. 3. Amex states a FICO score they pulled on XX/XX/2021 of XXXX ... my actual FICO score when I requested a credit increase is XXXX, a 40 point increase in two weeks. 4. Consumer Complaint: Personal Statement After speaking to XXXX, they told me to file a complaint against American Express. On XX/XX/2021, XXXX deleted the ecommerce online store from my website XXXX. On XX/XX/2021, XXXX done a charge back of the {$320.00}. One of the American Express Representative determined that I signed a contract, for no refund, online. Thereafter, determined that I will be rebilled {$320.00}. However, I filed a second dispute because XXXX Financial Team gave me a refund, first, on XX/XX/2021. I explained to XXXX that American Express is billing me {$320.00} for the six-month ecommerce online store that you deleted XX/XX/2021. And that I had to shop around at other places because I could not use anything on my website because it was deleted. Someone from their Collection Team at XXXX told me to use a replacement card to reactivate your ecommerce online store because of the charge back XX/XX/2021 and for me to dispute it with American Express. Therefore, I used my other American Express Card Business Prime XXXX to activate the ecommerce online store, XX/XX/2021. In any event, I like {$320.00} credited to my account # XXXX from America Express and the case closed because I had to use another credit card to pay for services. Respectfully submitted, XXXX XXXX XXXX Oath I declare state under penalty of perjury that the foregoing is true and correct. Executed on XX/XX/2021. ( 28 USC 1746 ) Respectfully submitted, XXXX XXXX XXXX
