Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I applied for credit through XXXX XXXX . Ally Financial ran my credit XXXX , resulting in XXXX inquiries fro m Ally Financial o n my credit report on the same day. Ally Financial ne eds to remove XXXX of the inquiries. Obviously, XXXX of the inquiries is valid and should stay. I disputed the XXXX inquiry indirectly through XX/XX/XXXX and received a response that the inquiry was authorized, therefore it was not removed ( see attached ). I then wrote a letter t o Ally Financial and disputed the XXXX inquiry directly with them on XX/XX/XXXX ( see attached ). I was very clear in my letter that I agree XXXX of the inquiries is valid, but the XXXX inquiry is NOT valid and should be removed from my XXXX credit report. I received a response dated XX/XX/XXXX that was very generic and simply said that the inquiry was valid ( see attached ). They did not address or otherwise explain why there were XXXX inquiries on my credit report from their company. I have attached a copy of my XXXX credit report showing the XXXX inquiries.

Consumer Complaint: On XXXX XXXX , XXXX at XXXX XXXX XXXX , I received a telephone call from Ally Bank on my personal telephone. The person calling advised me that the call was being recorded. I told him I didnt want to be recorded. He told me I could not communicate via telephone with Ally Bank without my call being recorded and that he could not call me back on a line that is not recorded or otherwise stop the recording. I decline to continue the call. The only account I have with Ally B ank is a savings account. California is a two party consent state as described in Cal. Penal Code 632 . The Federal statute is mute since the California statute is more restrictive and the Federal statute defers to the more restrictive statute when one exists.

Issue: Managing the loan or lease
Subissue: Problem with the interest rate
Consumer Complaint: To whom it may concern, It saddens me deeply to write this letter as I survive through my current financial struggle. I am writing about Ally Bank, my interest rate and my efforts to keep my vehicle that I 've been paying on for 2 years. My payments to Ally bank are {$440.00} a month. When I first got the vehicle I was told that the interest rate was very high because I did not have much credit, and that I 'd be able to build and get a lower rate in a few years. Since having a vehicle was a necessity to me keeping my job and taking care of my family, and since it was affordable at the time, I decided to move forward with the purchase. Unfortunately things changed for the worst, and the amount of the car payment is no longer in my budget, yet I 've been doing everything that I can to struggle to make these payments every month. I 've been on payment plans, I 've done everything that I can, however no matter what I seem to do that payments are simply too high. In addition, the value of the car in comparison to the payments that I will be making is unreal to say the least, but this is what new limited credit will get you in the world. I 've writte n Ally Ba nk several times to see if there is something that they can work out with me, either with the interest rate, or anything that will lower my payments to something that is more affordable for my newly demoted salary. I 've gotten no responses. I understand that it is not Ally Bank 's responsibility to assist me with keeping my vehicle, however seeing that the value of this car is no where near the amount that is left over to pay in the loan, I feel it beneficial for both parties to work things out. I 'd like my request sent to the headquarters of Ally Bank. I would like to humbly negotiate one of the following with Ally. I am making every effort to keep my agreement with Ally and with such outrageous interest rates I only ask that they please respond to my letters or forward them to headquarters to see if something can be worked out.

Issue: Problem with a credit reporting company's investigation into an existing problem
Subissue: Investigation took more than 30 days
Consumer Complaint: On Tuesday X/X/17 I spoke to Ally Financial about a payment postponement ( piggyback ) and they agreed to do it. I asked several times about the effect it would have on m y credit score. The consultant assured me that my credit score would not be harmed in any way. To day X/XX/17 I checked my credit score and the company has indeed gone back on their word and reported the payme nt as a 30 day late. I am now going to file bankruptcy because of the incorrect information I was given on a recorded call. This has effected my credit in such a manner that makes it impossible to fix the situation at hand. The spiral effect that is about to incur is the fault entirely of Ally Financial .
