Consumer Complaint: In XXXX, in response to an ad for an Obama Administration program, I paid {$390.00} to private co. to refinance my student loans under public service loan forgiveness program, Income driven payments, to be recertified annually, paid in ten years. It was serviced by FEDLOAN Servicing. First year I paid {$29.00} mo. In XXXX I was to recertify. That recertification was a nightmare that was not completed until XX/XX/XXXX. I was somewhat late in XXXX due to emergency XXXX XXXX, but called to notify FedLoan and told okay, noted they would send docs and forebearance issued. I sent documentation over and over, it was refused, stalled until information became stale and refused again. I made repeated phone calls and emails to my Servicer. My employer called XXXX to verify accurate information already submitted and re-submitted. No two agents gave same information and my interest grew! In the interim, my credit was being destroyed. I contacted a DOE ombudsman and was advised to file a complaint with the FTC, which I did, but never heard more ; but did get IDR payment worked out and recertified in XX/XX/XXXX. I applied for a home loan in XX/XX/XXXX, only to learn that FEDLOAN Servicing had erroneously reported late payments for years for loans that were clearly in deferment or forebearance, and my original loan has now grown to more than {$140.00}. I produced letters to the lender showing forbearance, thus payments could not have been late, but until the information is removed from the Credit Bureaus, my home loan is denied with USDA. FEDLOAN SERVICING refused to remove it. Credit Bureaus refuse to remove it. I have disputed it with Bureaus to no avail. I have records and notes of this four-year recertification battle should you need anything further. TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE

Consumer Complaint: Good Morning, I am writing in regards to my loan payments. I have been making payments since I graduated from college. On the review of my last payment, I realized there was an amount on there from the federal government indicating I owed money. In XXXX, I was unable to pay any money from my student loans, resulting in the defaulting and garnishment of my wages. I was fortunate enough to have the garnishment paid in full in XX/XX/XXXX and the garnishment was ended. In the current loans I am paying, there is an amount indicating I owe that is the same amount I had garnished from my wages. I have contacted FedLoan.Org on these occasions : XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX, XX/XX/XXXX During each call, I was passed around and had no resolution or research done to confirm my loan dispute. I have continued to pay my loans, even though I feel I do not owe part of the amount I continue to pay. In doing additional research, I contacted XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX and they redirected me to XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, as they state the loans that I paid off in XXXX were originally serviced by them. They provided me with a number ( XXXX ). This number they provided is no longer in service and there is not a contact to this servicing group who could assist me. I believe the review of this matter is important because I am a consistent payer on my accounts. I am of the belief part of my student loans have been duplicated, causing me to pay a loan that I have already paid off 3 years ago. Please provide any assistance where you can to help remedy this situation and adjust the amount that I am paying monthly. Thank you.

Consumer Complaint: To Dispute Investigations : I am sending in a copy of the student loan forbearance approval letter from FedLoan Servicing. I highlighted the dates of the forbearance. The letter is dated in XX/XX/2017 which makes the forbearance retroactive meaning it applies to dates before the date of the letter. With that being said, all 11 accounts of Fedloan Servicing should reflect the true status of the account with Fedloan Servicing. The late payments status on all accounts should have been updated to current or deleted altogether. By reporting negative late payments while the account with Fedloan Servicing shows all on time payments is an example of inaccurate reporting which is a violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act. I have disputed these late payments several times. However, your credit reporting agency, constantly verify the account as accurate when that is not true. How are you validating? Im pretty sure both, Fedloan Servicing and your credit reporting agency did not thoroughly investigate my dispute. Because of this both Fedloan Servicing and your CRA have denied me my right to have an accurate credit file with the bureaus. I demand that all Fedloan Servicing accounts be updated to show no late payments or deleted all accounts altogether due to negligence. Thank you

Consumer Complaint: my fed loan servicing account have always been in good standing because Ive had it on either burden forbearance or deferment since I finished school while I am attempting to find employment yet in 2016 prior to the deferment expiring I submitted and called and was assured fed loan received my renewal for debt burden forbearance/deferment but months later I noticed my credit report shows I was late in 2016 XXXX, XXXX and XXXX which I wasnt Ive never made a payment yet Ive always kept my account in good standing by filing the necessary documents to keep it in deferment Ive tried several time to fix this directly with the creditor FED LOAN SERVICING. My account says it all years Ill kept it in good standing with either burden forbearance or deferment theres no reason for me to let it go in bad standing especially if Ive never made a payment which thats the only reason someone account will become in bad standing logically not for not submitting free documents to keep account in good standing I WOULD LIKE THESE LATE PAYMENTS WHICH WERE REPORTED TO THE CREDIT BUREAUS DELETED AND CORRECTED AS NEVER LATE BECAUSE ITS THE TRUTH

Consumer Complaint: This matter pertains to my yearly renewal for IDR. Reported information and was asked to submit federal income tax, which I did. I was asked to send alternative information about income, which I sent paycheck stub. After sending paycheck stub, found out information taken from my GROSS amount was used to determine monthly payment. Then found out that the reason for using paycheck stub was due to answering " yes '' to significant change in income. I believe that question is deceptive and customers are lead to assume that change of income means making a lower amount ( which was my case ) as well as an increase. By using my gross amount as opposed to my agi, my payments went up 5x that of what they had been. It isn't right, affordable, or in fair practice for them to ask 5x the amount based on a person 's income who brings home less than half the amount of their gross pay. I am a teacher in MO and to begin with I have 14.5 % of my income taken out for retirement alone. On top of that, I have XXXX taken out for my portion of insurance premium. On top of that, I have XXXX taken out for XXXX ins. I haven't even got to my fed, state, and medicare deductions. This is a dishonest practice of fed loan and they need to make things right with my payment.

Consumer Complaint: In XX/XX/XXXX I graduated from XXXX XXXX. In XX/XX/XXXX I took a permanent job with the XXXX of the XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. In XXXX XXXX I consolidated my federal loans, entered into a income-based repayment plan, and enrolled in the Public Service Loan Forgiveness program. I have stayed permanently employed with the XXXX of the XXXX ever since and am still employed at XXXX. Every year I submit my employer certification, my taxes, and my income-based repayment plan recalculation. I have taken 15 months of deferments since XXXX. That means I have made 89 payments ( of my 120 payments ) since enrolling in the PSLF program. My loan has been sold a couple of times and FedLoan Servicing took it over in about XX/XX/XXXX. FedLoan Servicing now says that I have only made 68 qualifying payments and they do not have a record of payments made prior to XX/XX/XXXX. They are conducting an audit but told me they could not say when it would be completed and it may take 6 months or longer. My bank says that the only way they can pull bank statements that far back is if I pay a fee of {$35.00} per hour of research and {$5.00} per bank statement and that the research may be extensive because the records are on microfiche. I believe that FedLoan Servicing is not counting the qualifying payments I made between XXXX and XXXX and are shorting me by about 21 payments ( over {$10000.00} ) and that this will incorrectly extend my PSLF repayment period and may interfere with the ultimate forgiveness of my loans. Please help!

Consumer Complaint: My credit report is being negatively affected by 13 total late payment indicators on 3 separate student loans I have with XXXX XXXX XXXX. The loans were always in good standing for years before these reported months and are in good standing now since 2016 when these payments were reported late inaccurately. Its my belief that the loans should have been in deferment at that time or if they were not, I was not properly notified that the payments needed to be made. Even though fed loan servicing is reporting the late payments they refuse to remove them but suggest that I ask the credit bureaus to remove them as a courtesy. But they will not.

Consumer Complaint: I have a consolidated loan which is currently in " repayment '' status with FedLoan Servicing. The consolidated loan consists of two loans which were consolidated in XX/XX/XXXX. Both loans began with zero payments made to each after they were consolidated. I joined FedLoan 's Public Service Loan Forgiveness program in XX/XX/XXXX. With each bill I received, the qualifying payments for each loan in the consolidation were both the same, naturally. However, from XX/XX/XXXX to XX/XX/XXXX, a discrepancy in the number of qualifying payments ( I have attached copies of statements for both months ). In XX/XX/XXXX both loans in the consolidation showed as 19 payments for each. Then in XX/XX/XXXX, one showed as 16 payments while the other showed as 22 payments. I contacted FedLoan as soon as I received the statement for XX/XX/XXXX and asked about this discrepancy. Not surprisingly, the customer service representative could not figure out the discrepancy either and put in a request to have it investigated. every 2 to 3 months I would call in to get a status on the investigation, only to be told that they are " still working on it. '' My last attempt at trying to get this resolved was XX/XX/XXXX. I was told again that they were " still working on it. '' I have attached a copy of this communication along with their response. After many attempts at trying to get this resolved over the past year and a half, I am reaching out to your organization for help. Please advise me on what can be done about this. Your help is greatly appreciated! Sincerely, XXXX XXXX
