Consumer Complaint: I have been in the PSLF program for years and am still having difficulty getting FedLoan to count my years that I have been employed in public service toward my loan forgiveness count. Today I called to inquire about the discrepancy between several of my loans being calculated for different amounts of time. The customer service representative was rude, and unhelpful as has been my experience many times. I was told that my loans had not been consolidated by XXXX even though I was led to believe I had followed the process for that to happen initially when I began repayment through XXXX. I'm honestly unsure of who mishandled my account, but I do know I have been given misinformation by both parties which has led to my PSLF forgiveness being miscalculated. There have also been times where I was informed that I was under a qualifying income based repayment plan only to later find out they were calculating as under forbearance. I have been employed under a PSLF qualifying job for almost 10 years and they are only calculating 65 months towards certain loans and 35 for other they say I had not consolidated. Both companies told me I had completed the process to consolidate and FedLoan took nearly a calendar year to process moving my loans from XXXX which has also negatively impacted my months towards PSLF loan forgiveness. There is no reason that some of my loans should be calculating for a different amount of time than others and I should have at least 7 years paid in by now.

Consumer Complaint: Due to Covid my student loans have a {$0.00} balance due and 0 % interest rate. I have never missed a payment and have paid the full balance every month. Despite this, MyFedLoan is now reporting a " past due balance '' every month of {$0.00} instead of " paid as agreed ''. This is causing my credit score to plummet.

Consumer Complaint: My fed loan servicing accounts should have been in a deferment or forbearance XXXX XXXX XX/XX/2017. My XXXX loan is showing correctly but my Fed Loan is not. I have filed multiple inquiries with the 3 CRA 's and with Fed loan directly with no resolution. Each account with Fed Loan is showing 6 DQ payments, for each loan and it is severely impacting my score. The information caused other card issuers to close my accounts in 2017. I was promised investigation by phone with FedLoan without any resolution. Every-time I have called, individuals say they can see the error and submit a request to adjust but then nothing ever comes of it.

Consumer Complaint: In XXXX of 2019 I was contacted by a company called Fed loan servicing to set up a loan forgiveness program which would reduce my balance from approximately $ XXXX {$16000.00} by making payments monthly that were automatically deducted from my check in the mail and the amount of $ XXXX monthly I was informed this was based on my income and I would have to recertify annually. For approximately six months this amount was deducted from my account and I thought nothing of it until it stopped withdrawn from my account. And became suspicious wants to stop withdrawing from my account and just recently checked my credit report only to find out then an additional {$49000.00} that has never existed in the 15 years since my student loan balance begin appeared do on my credit report as a separate line item from my original amount due which is valid of XXXX. When I called Fed loan servicing they informed me that this was a scam and that often scammers pose as the actual company and working with the department of education but are there to steal your money I am asking for your help to rectify this I am currently contacting XXXX the original provider of my student loan to get an actual statement of account to provide the valid representative from Fed loan servicing So they can indeed validate that my balance is only XXXX And not XXXX as indicated on my credit report. I do have a copy of my statement that was mailed to me showing the two separate balances one of which is completely invalid and have spoken to the one I believe is the valid company Fed loan servicing they asked me to reach out to your company to correct this and file a complaint if someone could please get back to me to ask me what else you need from me I have just a little bit more information can also provide bank statements of the amounts being withdrawn the original number and name of the person I was given I was even provided a username and password and direct number to reach the company but since can not reach them.

Consumer Complaint: FedLoan Servicing is incorrectly calculating my PSLF-eligible payments and their payment processing with Direct Debit is repeatedly giving me error messages making it impossible to make sure automatic payments are processed correctly. I've repeatedly attempted to contact them via phone, online chat, and e-mail with incredibly poor customer service that is if I ever get ahold of someone or get a response. Customer service has provided no help with my legitimate concerns and issues. I'm technically paid ahead for my student loans yet their system now shows that I'm past due.
