Consumer Complaint: I have been making payments towards Public Service Loan Forgiveness for many years and I re-certify my qualified employment often ( at least once a year ). I also have been careful to ensure my loan payments have all been eligible ( IDR ). While I am very grateful that I am now able to log in and actually see which payments have counted towards my repayment I also see that entire 12 months of qualified payments with an eligible employer ( University of XXXX- System ) have not been counted ( XX/XX/XXXX through XX/XX/XXXX ). I raised this twice with my loan servicer both over the phone and via chat ( XX/XX/XXXX ). I have sent the signed employment certification 3 times that includes those missing 12 months. The loan servicer responses continue to neglect including those 12 months. I am so close to discharging two loans. I need your help in getting this resolved.

Consumer Complaint: XXXX I took out a Student loan for {$4600.00} and after I graduated I started repaying this loans out XXXX and after a year or so I was unable to manage the payments long story short on XX/XX/XXXX I ended up paying in total {$10000.00}, or more I dont have records for XXXX of payments, the Student Loan it ended up with INTEREST and FED LOAN SERVICES want me to pay another {$15000.00} in interest fees, this has affected my Credit and I Disagree in the handling of this Loan that started in XXXX for {$4600.00}, this economy back then was very hard to maintain jobs, paying my bills, and a family, I Paid this Student loan in XXXX plus interest and now interest continues this amount of {$15000.00} is an All interest amount, I am sadly deepened that the Government ( USA ) can and do this to citizens, ( students ) they dont have no regards as to this Economy which now is just as bad TODAY AND IN THE PAST, this is just another form of discrimination and its the Government ( USA ) that allows this to go on. This has affected my Credit, score, and Life, I feel taken advantage and dissatisfied for this is worse than loan sharks. I did the best I could during those times.

Consumer Complaint: I completed XX/XX/XXXX school but due to unforeseen health issues was unable to obtain a XX/XX/XXXX. I have two private student loans. My income is not what it would be if I could XXXX XXXX so the terms and payment plans available to me are not feasible. The student loan servicing company is AES. I have applied and been approved for a home mortgage but the terms of my student loans will not work for the underwriter because it makes my debt to income too high. AES only has three repayment options available to me but none of them are affordable. On three occasions they have given me a name of the lender and encouraged me to contact them to see if another option is available to me. They gave me the names XXXX and XXXX as the name/s of my lender but will not provide me with any contact information. My search for XXXX and XXXX leads me nowhere. I have no idea who my lender is or how to contact them to work out a more reasonable payment plan. Perhaps important to note is that my loans were for a XXXXXX/XX/XXXX school where we were guaranteed to do well on XX/XX/XXXX and get into XX/XX/XXXX I had three loans initially which have been shuffled around - one of which was sent to a collections agency but I was never given sufficient information as to why. I believe it defaulted but it was never explained to me why and options were not provided to prevent this from happening. I have been paying {$300.00} per month to the collections agency for several years now - but three or four months ago the {$300.00} stopped coming out of my account but I didn't notice until recently and the collections agency didn't reach out to me via phone until recently - no email, no regular mail. My phone blocks what it considers to be robocalls or spam calls so I have received only a few voicemails from them. So my complaint - I have no way of working out a more reasonable payment plan which is needed given my income as a non-practicingXX/XX/XXXX ; I have no information about who the actual lender is ; my mortgage is on hold and may lose the house if we can't close on time. We are first time home buyers - only trying to buy a house that is sufficient for our family - modest home. Also important to note is the terrible inconsistency in information given to me by AES as seen in the attached documents. My mortgage lender can not make any sense out of what has been provided and neither can I. In case you are wondering what health issues prevented me from getting into XX/XX/XXXX and being able to practice as aXX/XX/XXXX - a XX/XX/XXXX XXXX on my XXXX resulting in removal of the XXXX and XXXX. Severe XXXX that led to the discovery of the XXXX. A showering of XXXX XXXX in both of my XXXX. Both nearly killed me and both required an extensive period of time for recovery.

Consumer Complaint: I am currently enrolled in the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program and am two years away from fulfilling a ten-year agreement. I need written confirmation from my loan holder that I am PROPERLY enrolled in the program, and that the loans I have under the plan ARE eligible for forgiveness. I have spoken with them repeatedly over the years and only received verbal assurances that I am properly enrolled and on track, but I want written confirmation to protect myself in two years when I should be done with this debt. 99 % of people who are enrolled in the PSLFP are rejected after fulfilling their obligation because a loan provider either mislead them regarding their eligibility, or just outright lied. I need written confirmation from FedLoan that I AM properly enrolled, on track to fulfill my obligation, and that they will NOT reject my loan forgiveness after a solid decade of payments.

Consumer Complaint: For over 10 years, I've worked as a XXXX in XXXX and for the XXXX XXXX. I have dedicated my XXXX career to XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. I've been diligent about making my student loan payments in a timely manner and following all of the Public Service Loan Forgiveness ( PSLF ) rules and procedures. I've spent endless hours on the phone with lenders and servicers trying to fix their mistakes. In XX/XX/2020, I was notified by Fed Loan Servicing that I had made 120 qualifying payments and could apply for forgiveness, which I did immediately. My application has been pending for over six weeks. So, I called Fed Loan Servicing today. I was told that the process could take up to six months, and only then will my application be forwarded to the U.S. Department of Education for the second step. The process is painfully slow. There is no good reason that the confirmation of eligible payments should take so long. Fed Loan Servicing has been verifying my employment and payments all along, and notified me that I was eligible. The company is obstructing public servants from taking advantage of the PSLF program. Meanwhile, financial records, including credit reports, show that I have a huge amount of educational debt. Additionally, I must continue to endure the stress and anxiety associated with having no faith in the system working properly or fairly.

Consumer Complaint: I am beyond frustrated with the run around and lack of follow up from AES. I have been going back and forth with Customer Service Representatives from AES since the summer of XXXX when I was first made aware of the fraudulent activity on my student loan account. I have since then been in contact with them every 2-3 weeks following up on the status of the distribution of the checks that were fraudulently cashed by god knows who. I have provided all the documentation they request and then when I think progress is being made they ask for more documents or a Police Report? Seriously, you are requesting a Police Report when this incident occurred in XXXX? Why didn't they advise me of the needed police report back in XXXX when I first reported this to them. I feel as if they are giving me the runaround because their bank refuses to refund a clearly fraudulently cashed check. I have given them everything they need in order to determine which reimbursement checks were cashed by me and which weren't. I have submitted affidavits that have been legally notarized and nothing. I recently received 2 out of the 6 checks reimbursements. Today, XX/XX/XXXX I called to follow up on the pending 4 checks and they inform me that they are not showing any outstanding check distributions pending. I informed them that I have yet to cash the first two being that I want to ensure this matter is closed once and for all.
