Consumer Complaint: In XX/XX/2016 a missed payment was showing on all of my all of my Fed Loan Servicing student Loans. This is not accurate as I was in forbearance and was attending school at the time and should not have been liable to take a payment. I need these items removed immediately and the company is not researching out doing anything to help with this issue.

Consumer Complaint: I tried to pay off my loan in one final payment. I checked their website calculated the amount for that date. I made a cheque out for that amount and sent it via courier service XXXX it arrived exactly a day before the date. The cheque seems to have never been cashed and they can't seem to find it now. As it was sent with XXXX I have the name time and date of who signed for the cheque. I have contacted them and they said they are looking into it but this has happened before. As I am international they do not take payments from international accounts or international transfers which is very annoying.

Consumer Complaint: XX/XX/2020 - my credit score dropped 115 points because FedLoan inadvertently reported me 90 days late due to a mistake on their part. At least two or three FedLoan agents assured me that they had not reported me late. I disputed the late payments with the major credit agencies ( wasting my time since FedLoan was in the wrong ). Finally speak to an account specialist in late XXXX who discovers what went wrong at FedLoan. The account specialist stated he would escalate it. Fedloan sent me requests on how to mail my info via USPS to resolve the issue instead of taking responsibility for their mistake. XX/XX/2020 - my credit score jumped back up about 70 points and their only course of action is to say " sorry '' and to " check my credit and hope that it goes back to normal ''. Absolutely unacceptable, incompetent, negligence.

Consumer Complaint: I have made the same number of PSLF eligible payments -- 38 -- on both of my loans. However, on loan sequence 1, FedLoan Servicing indicates that I have made only 28 eligible payments. 10 payments, made between XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX ( inclusive ), are reflected as ineligible payments for loan sequence 1 but eligible for loan sequence 2, even though payments were made for the full amount due on both loans on the same date each month.

Consumer Complaint: I currently Have 6 accounts with fed loans in which they said I had late payments more than 120 days. This was caused by my email being hacked in which I only had emails sent to XXXX and that was during the data breach. i was late but would have paid as you can look at my history. We are trying to buy a home and have a very ill daughter and if these do not get removed off of my credit, we will not be able to move our family into a home. I have been more than fair paying off my debt even during these horrible times.

Consumer Complaint: XX/XX/XXXX I dropped down to part-time at the hospital where I have been working since graduation in XXXX. I have submitted regular ECF throughout my employment all previously have been approved for the PSLF. In XXXX I submitted two ECF to account for the period between XXXX XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX in which I was still a FULL-TIME employee and from XXXX to present to indicate my current PART-TIME status. FedLoan Servicing incorrectly deemed the period of XX/XX/XXXX to XX/XX/XXXX as unapproved employment and failed to count this period of payments towards my PSLF. I have contacted the company three times regarding this error which has been " in review '' since XXXX. After my XXXX inquiry I received an email saying that it was STILL in review and I would be contacted when that has changed. It is nearly XXXX and I still have not had this matter resolved. It is concerning to me that FedLoan can not accurately account for a simple status change which is labeled clearly on the paperwork I submitted. How can they be trusted to handle more complicated situations in which a person has two part-time employers counting towards PSLF. This error which resulted in me not being credited for 9 months of payments towards my PSLF must to addressed and resolved immediately.

Consumer Complaint: I attended XXXX from XX/XX/XXXX to XX/XX/XXXX. At the end of the Fall semester in XXXX, I spoke to a counselor, about discontinuing my enrollment, because my grandmother and mother were having serious issues with their house, that was in the flood zone of XXXX. I was told by the school that I could register for the semester, and if I had to withdraw because of XXXX that my costs would be covered, and my transcript would reflect the mitigating circumstances. Well, I was forced to withdraw, and move back to XXXX XXXX to help with clean up and to rebuild, and now the VA says I owe the money for withdrawing. Also, there is no mention of mitigating circumstances anywhere on my transcript. I attempted to go to the school, but the building was empty, and when I tried to contact the school, I found out that they had changed locations, and none of the same people were still there, and I was told that there was no record of them having talked to me about mitigating circumstances. I was also told that the school would soon be closing for good. When I was told that I could withdraw without penalty, the counselor also told me that my Post XX/XX/XXXX GI Bill wouldn't cover another semester after the Winter of XXXX, leading me to believe that I could not graduate anyway, which strongly affected my decision to withdraw. I have since found out that I had enough left of the GI Bill to cover another semester, but I can not find ANY schools that will take any of my XXXX credits as transfer credits. When I apply for jobs, I am laughed at when they get to the XXXX part of my resume. I have been told by several former classmates that they are also having the same problems, and we all remember being promised that all of our credits would transfer to any other accredited school, and how XXXX students were among the elite, and super successful, like XXXX XXXX. I feel like I have been lied to, manipulated, and taken advantage of, and feel like I have no recourse. I feel like my time at XXXX was a waste of time and money that I will be paying for, for decades, and now that the school is closing, I will never even get a degree.

Consumer Complaint: FedLoan Servicing ( PHEAA ) has begun ignoring my standing payment instructions yet again. This is the sixth CFPB complaint I have filed because this company refuses to follow my payment instructions. My standing payment instructions were attached to a previous CFPB complaint, and FedLoan Servicing has acknowledged receiving these instructions and agreed to follow them as part of that complaint, and subsequent complaints. The most recent example of incorrectly applied payments is my payment for {$1000.00} that was applied to my loans on XX/XX/XXXX. This payment should have been applied to the loan with a disbursement date of XX/XX/XXXX ( Loan # 8 ) and interest rate of 4.45 % ( the highest rate ) but it was instead applied to loans with lower interest rates ( disbursed XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX ). I have attached a screen capture showing that this payment was not applied correctly.

Consumer Complaint: Pheaa/American Education Services is claiming that my account is delinquent when I've already made the payment. They claim that if the payment is " processing '', the account is still in a delinquent status. I'm not sure what world Pheaa/AES lives in, but I think they completely misunderstand the concept of what happens when a debt is paid. When you pay a debt, the status is immediately treated as satisfied UNTIL the payment is returned by the bank. The fact that they wait 2-3 business days to " process '' a payment to fulfill their obligations with reporting accurate information is beyond egregious. There were 2 employees from the company who offended me and I wish for both of them to be terminated indefinitely for their poor treatment of customers over the phone. One goes by the name of " XXXX '' and the other " XXXX '' Pheaa/AES, let 's say you're 2 days late on the electric bill. The electric company turns off your energy in the building, but someone from your district office calls to make the payment. The electric company says " It will take 2 business days to process your payment BEFORE we are able to turn your electric back on. Sorry! '' I really doubt that happens! Therefore, you should be treating my situation in the same way. I also have an issue with Pheaa/AES when it comes to 2 way calling. They claim that they record the conversations, but then do not give authorization on their end for me to record the call, but they continue recording the call. I believe that just might be subject to analysis by the state because in Pennsylvania, no party can continue recording the conversation if both parties are not in agreement of the other recording the call. I'm almost positive Pheaa/AES records the calls even after I had agreed not to.

Consumer Complaint: I have been trying to get into contact with the National Collegiate Trust, or NCT, in regards to coming to a settlement on my loan. They do no have any contact information available. The company that they use to service the loan, American Education Services, ( AES ) has refused to give me contact information for NCT. I have called and spoken to several supervisors, who have given me false contact information for some other bank - XXXX XXXX XXXX - who have no idea why AES is giving out their number. In short, I can't reach anyone to get any information or negotiate a settlement for my loan. Furthermore, CFPB issued a lawsuit against NCT in 2017. https : //www.consumerfinance.gov/about-us/newsroom/cfpb-takes-action-against-national-collegiate-student-loan-trusts-transworld-systems-illegal-student-loan-debt-collection-lawsuits/ I have since been made aware that NCT has been the subject of multiple lawsuits, and that my loan may be eligible for discharge. I would like for NCT to provide me with irrefutable proof of ownership of my loan. If they can not provide this proof, I am requesting dismissal of the loan, and repayment of any and all payments made by myself to them on a loan they have no legal ownership of.
