Consumer Complaint: I contacted FedLoan Servicing via secure email on XX/XX/XXXX seeking additional information about my federal student loans. A copy of the text of the message I sent them on XX/XX/XXXX is attached as Letter to FedLoan XXXX.rtf. To date, I have not received any contact or additional information from FedLoan Servicing regarding my inquiry. As it is my current understanding from information available online, FedLoan 's contract with the US Department of Education will end on XX/XX/XXXX and that FedLoan will soon cease to exist, I hope to receive information in a timely manner, which has not yet happened. Given the updates put out by the Department of Education, I am seeking review of the following payment periods : Loan Sequence 3, Period XX/XX/XXXX ; Loan Sequence 4, Period XX/XX/XXXX ; Loan Sequence 5, Period XX/XX/XXXX ; Loan Sequence 6, Period XX/XX/XXXX ; Loan Sequence 6, Period XX/XX/XXXX ; Loan Sequence 7, Period XX/XX/XXXX ; Loan Sequence 8, Period XX/XX/XXXX ; Loan Sequence 8, Period XX/XX/XXXX ; Loan Sequence 9, Period XX/XX/XXXX ; Loan Sequence 10, Period XX/XX/XXXX ; Loan Sequence 10, Period XX/XX/XXXX ; Loan Sequence 11, Period XX/XX/XXXX. Further details can be found in the Letter to FedLoan XXXXrtf attachment. I would like clarification whether these payments count under the new policy or if any additional steps are required to have them count under the new policy. If the payments remain ineligible, I would like a detailed explanation as to why that is the case. I am especially confused as why some payments from some of the same loan sequences counted for periods XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX but not XX/XX/XXXX. I also attached FedLoan 's previous confirmation of my employment with the State of Maryland at the time in question.

Consumer Complaint: Hello, I have been trying to get an answer from fed loan servicing for over a year on the following issue. The payment window of XX/XX/XXXX I made a payment but FedLoan servicing placed my loan on forbearance based on national standards that month. Over a year ago I inquired about this and Fedloanservicing offered to remove the forbearance and then count my payment towards the PSLF loan payment count for a qualifying payment. I have called in once every few months since then and was told many months ago that they processed the forbearance removal but they havent counted the payment yet. I am trying to get closure on this issue before Fedloanservicing hands over my loans to the next loan servicer at the end of XXXX. Thank you, XXXX

Consumer Complaint: I have been in Repayment of Federal Student loans ( see attached ) Through XXXX servicing since XXXX. After 7 years of repayment I called to discuss PSLF opportunity and was told to consolidate my loans. I'm being told that since my loans were consolidated between unsubsidized and subsidized loans and when they were transferred to FedLoan in XXXX it reset my counts because I consolidated " new loans ''. This makes me ineligible for TEPSLF. I have an issue with this because I have had consolidated loans since XXXX and have not taken out new loans nor was I notified that this would reset my PSLF payments for the entire balance ( not just subsidized vs unsubsidized ). Had I known that information, I would not have reconsolidated in XXXX.

Consumer Complaint: Began full-time employment with an PSLF-eligible employer in XX/XX/XXXX. Applied for and was accepted for PSLF in XX/XX/XXXX. My two direct federal loans were transferred from XXXX to FedLoan servicing in XX/XX/XXXX. FedLoan is stating that my payments made from XXXX were all outside the payment window ( they were not ) and that all my payments from XXXX were not received in the payment window ( they were ). This is a total of 33 eligible, on time payments that are are not being considered qualifying for PSLF. I have documentation of these payments from Navient and submitted ECF forms for all these dates. I called FedLoan Servicing and requested a manual recount on XX/XX/XXXX, and no changes to my qualifying payments has been made.

Consumer Complaint: I have been forced to pay student loans in full even though I never graduated high school and could have never used the degree if i finished. I only completed one term yet had to pay over {$10000.00} to get them off my credit so i can't get a home, a vehicle, etc. I completed numerous applications as they offer to forgive loans for these exact situations, however, they have only led me in circles for over 5 years trying to get it off my credit. Finally it is paid in full. But they should never have gotten that money and it is wrong. they are thieves. but now student loans stay on your credit report for life and ruin your life until paid in full, weather right or wrong. unfortunate as it is, the department of education are straight up blood sucking thieves and after the money not in it to help anyone. so sad what the world is coming to these days.

Consumer Complaint: I am missing payment counts from XXXX on all my direct loans serviced by FedLoans, and qualify for PSLF. FedLoans says the months were ineligible because no bill was generated. Due to my XXXX income from the year before, I would have $ 0 monthly payments through this time period. I have contacted customer service many times through this process, only to be told that it is under review and to wait longer. It has now been almost two years. My payment count with FedLoans has literally never been correct despite XXXX yearly, working for a qualified employer, having PSLF-qualified direct loans, and never missing a payment due.

Consumer Complaint: I have never missed a payment on my student loans, and I am currently on track for TEPSLF. I have worked for a qualifying employer for nearing 10 years, since XX/XX/XXXX of XXXX, with a qualifying payment plan. When my loans were transferred to FedLoanServicing for PSLF, I noticed over a year 's worth of payments to one of my previous, now defunct, servicers, " Direct Loan Servicing '' were not being counted toward PSLF or TEPSLF despite being over a year 's worth of payments made under the standard repayment plan while working for a qualifying employer. This period is being classified as " No bill '' - except I certainly had bills during this time, because I still have the receipts! In XXXX of XXXX I submitted over a year 's worth of receipts to FedLoanServicing so these payments, and a few others, could be manually tabulated. If tabulated correctly, I should qualify for TEPSLF in XXXX of XXXX. I have been waiting 10 months for them to do this. Every time I reach out to them requesting an update, I get a non-answer or more incorrect information. They scheduled a review of my account for the months from XX/XX/XXXX to XX/XX/XXXX when this review should be from XX/XX/XXXX through XX/XX/XXXX. They are also listing any time my loans were transferred to other servicers as months that do not qualify, despite being instructed by these servicers to continue making payments as usual until the transfer was complete. I have two months until I *should* be at 120 qualifying payments ( I was hired by a qualifying employer on XX/XX/XXXX and continue to work there ). Instead FedLoan Servicing 's complete incompetence has resulted in my estimated date for qualifying for forgiveness being XXXX. I was recently informed that FedLoanServicing will be transferring my loans to yet another service provider some time this year. I am livid. I am concerned I will have to start this process all over again, or continue making payments well beyond when I should need to. Refunding that money after this is finally corrected will not be an acceptable resolution. I have contacted FedLoanServicing every month since XXXX to try and get an update on the status of my request, and I just get the run around. This is so unacceptable it is absurd.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, I submitted my recertification with the Public Service Loan Forgiveness ( PSLF ) program through FedLoan Servicing. The certification shows that I am employed by a 501 ( c ) ( 3 ) non-profit and had been employed there, full-time, since XX/XX/XXXX. FedLoan Servicing maintains a PSLF tracker on their website. On XX/XX/XXXX, FedLoan Servicing processed my application. The PSLF tracker was updated to note that a portion of my loan payments from XX/XX/XXXX to present were " qualifying. '' However, the payments from XX/XX/XXXX through XX/XX/XXXX were are listed as " Employment Not Certified, '' despite my certification. On XX/XX/XXXX, I contacted FedLoan Servicing to ask for a correction and that all payments from XX/XX/XXXX to present be marked as " qualifying. '' FedLoan Servicing responded on XX/XX/XXXX, " Records indicate the Employment Certification From to track your employment history has been approved until XX/XX/XXXX. The forgiveness portion has been denied since you have not completed the 120 qualifying payments. We advise to update this form annually. '' This was not responsive to my request. On XX/XX/XXXX, I submitted another request for a correction. FedLoan Servicing responded on XX/XX/XXXX, " A request has been submitted to review your Public Service Loan Forgiveness ( PSLF ) & Temporary Expanded PSLF ( TEPSLF ) Certification & Application ( PSLF Form ) to include all months shown as eligible per the start date on that form. We will send correspondence if we require additional information and apologize for any confusion or inconvenience. '' I received that review on XX/XX/XXXX. The payments were still not listed as " qualifying. '' I have also called FedLoan Servicing to address this issue. The customer service agent was not responsive to my request. I am deeply concerned that this miscount will delay my eventual forgiveness, currently scheduled for XX/XX/XXXX.
