Issue: Dealing with your lender or servicer
Subissue: Received bad information about your loan
Consumer Complaint: For the last 6 months the company has made it so difficult to consolidate my loans. When I XXXX college on XX/XX/2021 I was told to wait about 30 days to have my loans be removed from an " XXXX '' status on FedLoan. I waited that period and submitted a consolidate application on the FAFSA webiste and called about a month later. I was told by an agent that I was forced to stay on a " Forbearance '' status due to the pandemic. The agent also said I would have to wait until next year in XXXX to be able to resubmit another application. I fault that was a lie because not every single person was affected by the pandemic and we all should not be forced into a Forbearance status if it was not needed. So I called a month later in XX/XX/2021 and got another agent who stated that the agent was misleading and I could opt out of forbearance so I can submit my consolidation request. However, I was not able to because the system on FAFSA was showing that I still had a pending consolidation that was submitted back in XXXX. I was unable to create another one so the agent said he would do it manually and that I would need to call back. so sometime in XXXX I called and the customer rep told me that she sees my appliation and that she would transfer my call to consolidations, the wait was so long that I hung up, I felt like things were going correctly finally but today I called and the consolidation department told me that there was no such application and that I missed the 180 day deadline to get my application in. Finally I requested a manager and asked if they could review the last 4 calls on my account to see that I have been mislead and lied to about consolidating my loans. It seems as if the company is trying so hard to now allow me to do that. At the moment its impossible for me get a consolidation now because as of XX/XX/2021 I am now in an " XXXX '' status. I know how this company operates and its just so unbelievable how this is happening to my account. I have submitted proof of XXXX and it showing on there but my PSLF is still pending as well. I think there is a bigger issue at hand and some corruption that needs to be investigated. If you could just hear the last 4 calls on my account you can see that this company is refusing to do its job.

Consumer Complaint: I have called and emailed Fedloan several times about fiing my qualifying public service loan forgivenss payment count errors. I submitted a in school deferment waiver and eqch time I talk to someone they say it will be updated and fixed, but it still has not been. They recieved a waiver for XX/XX/2021 but did not apply it. Then I was told to do another and give also give my verbal okay for it to be aplied. Then it still wasnt fixed. Then tI called again and they said they had 2 waivers and... then multiple calls again .... to no avail of it actually being fixed. The last time I spoke with them they said the people that fix it probably saw the wrong form and didnt fix it and that she would notate it. It still hasnt been updated.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, I submitted an Employment Certification Form that documents my employment from XX/XX/XXXX through XX/XX/XXXX with the University of XXXX XXXX On XX/XX/XXXX I received a message that Fedloan received my PSLF Certification and Application and would take the time to review to make sure PSLF form is complete and confirm I meet the criteria. Fast Forward to XX/XX/XXXX. I received a follow-up message from Fedloans that resulted in Fedloans NOT certifying my employment at the University of XXXX XXXX XX/XX/XXXX through XX/XX/XXXX. That is a WRONG outcome. I wanted my employment to be certified for those dates. I am NOT asking for payments from those dates to be counted by Fedloans. But -- -- I am 100 % asking for Fedloans to CERTIFY and process that I worked for the University XXXX XXXX from XX/XX/XXXX until XX/XX/XXXX and that the University XXXX XXXX is a QUALIFYING employer for XXXX. Again -- -- I AM NOT ASKING FEDLOAN to COUNT THOSE PAYMENTS -- -AM NOT. But, Fedloans should 100 % certify that my employer qualified for PSLF and certify the date range that I worked at that Qualifying Employer.

Consumer Complaint: So FedLoans have said over and over that my XXXX form is complete and is pending final review. I submitted this information and documentation XXXX. It has been over four months of waiting! I was told by their staff that it would be processed in 2-3 months. I have completed the required payments and have worked at qualifying locations for the correct amount of time which has all been verified. There is no reason why this should take over 120 days to complete. Now they say Unfortunately the review is not being completed by us. The review is being completed by the XXXX XXXX XXXX ( XXXX ). We have to wait for their response. But when I contacted Federal Student Aid about it, the XXXX said We apologize for the inconvenience, but we are unable to perform you request, but considering on your information on Fedloan Servicing 's behavior and delays on processing your Loan Forgiveness, you may need to report the servicer 's suspicious activity via the XXXX Feedback System. I just want to have my XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX approved in a timely manner. It has been almost five months since I submitted my XXXX Form in XXXX of XXXX. This needs resolved immediately.

Consumer Complaint: Ive waited 4 months for my PSLF certification form to be processed to update my payment count and have yet to hear the outcome. The employer didnt change from the year prior and it hasnt been anything out of the ordinary. I was told these forms should take no longer than 2 weeks to be processed, and every time I call about it to inquire on status since XXXX, they say it's still processing. They are no longer going to be processing these forms after XXXX, and I submitted early to avoid delays towards the end of their contract, but still no one is doing their jobs.

Consumer Complaint: I filed my employer certification with MyFedLoan and got my 120 payments certified. A week later, I received a rejection letter on XX/XX/XXXX, stating I didnt certify I was employed this monthwhich had been certified on the same form they approved, and the basis for my hitting 120 in the first place. I contacted customer service multiple times and they said my application was rejected in error but there is " nothing they can do. '' Another customer service representative lied and told me federal law prohibits them from telling me where I am in the application process or why I was rejected. To make matters even more frustrating, they sent me a letter on XX/XX/XXXX, notifying me that I should apply since I am already eligible for forgiveness. When I contacted them to apply again... .they once again told me that they are still processing my rejection and to check back in 6 months to a year. I can not remain in my job for 6 months to a year while they process my loan discharge. I was guaranteed discharge in my promissory note and have fully satisfied all conditions. My employer is " the government '' ( XXXX XXXX in the State of Texas ) and no other issues exist on my account. I even used the official PSLF tool and had multiple MyFedLoan represenatives state they aren't sure why I wasn't immediately processed for full forgiveness. I believe that this can't be mere negligence and there must be an organized effort inside the organization to reject these applications. No other explanation would suffice to explain the lengths they have gone to block the discharge of PSLF-complying loans.
