Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2023, I did a balance transfer of {$8000.00} to my Wells Fargo credit card. This was a mistake on my part as should have been to another credit card and my wife got them mixedup. Regardless, Wells Fargo has received {$8000.00}. They have refused to refund it immediately, claiming it needs a security review and telling me that it could take 30 days or more. Secondly, I have a Wells Fargo bank account. Even after the review, they could immediately credit my bank account. However, they only committed to sending me a check in the far future, without any commitment on how long THAT process takes. First, they have already received {$8000.00} from XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX, which has never needed security reviews when they pay money. While Wells Fargo mucks around, they are earning interest on my money, whereas I am paying interest immediately for the transfer.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX there was an unauthorized charge on my wells fargo credit card for {$77.00}. This was for a charge in XXXX XXXX. This card was in my home in XXXX Fl. I disputed the charge in early XXXX. They closed the dispute on XX/XX/XXXX without requesting any information or providing a reason. I called and submitted proof the charge was on another card. Again, no response. I called again and they said the screen shot of the charge was insufficient proof. They requested a copy of the statement with my name, address. I sent the statement copy. Again, no response from Wells Fargo.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2023, I went into my local Wells Fargo branch to deposit a check into my bank account. The check was still attached to stub and I tore it off in front of the bank teller. After signing the check and giving it to the teller, she stared it and said " hmmm ''. I could tell that she was discriminating me due to the amount of the check and because of my ethnicity. She asked me why was I receiving a check of this amount and if I had any proof. I was clueless because I provided her the entire check stub which stated the origin of the check. The bank teller said she would have to verify the check and I would need to have a seat and wait. After about XXXX minutes, the teller said she verified the check and could proceed with depositing. I waited patiently while the teller deposited the check and then she again said, " you know what, let 's just get a XXXX ''. This is not my first experience being discriminated by Wells Fargo ( see CFPB Complaint # XXXX ). The XXXX came and signed off on things and I was provided a receipt with some of my funds available the next day and the remainder would be available in 3 days. The next morning, I awoke to a message from Wells Fargo that they were closing my account because they believed the check to be altered ( even though their teller and XXXX verified it ). I was in shock and called Loss XXXX, who stated they again needed more proof that I was the owner of the check. I took evidence from the payer of the check stating the check amount being sent to me and the purpose of my check which was CA XXXX Rental Assistance. My local Wells Fargo took the evidence and again made me wait. After XXXX minutes, the bank XXXX came back and said that Wells Fargo still does not believe the check belongs to me and would now need a notarized letter from the payer. Wells Fargo has put me through so much. I feel judged every time I walk into a location.

Consumer Complaint: I've been dealing with Identity Theft since XXXX, XXXX. My Emails were hacked, and I immediately contacted Wells Fargo and had my checking account, my Retirement Savings, and my newly received Wells Fargo Charge Card deactivated and disabled. Still, Wells Fargo and their mismanagement of my accounts allowed {$8800.00} of my monies to be removed in a fraudulent manner, after I had everything in place to prevent this. Consumer Finance Protection Agency, Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, and the FDIC Consumer Response Unit are in Custody of my claims against Wells Fargo. Of all the Banks, Credit Card Companies, etc. that have been involved in my Identity Theft, Wells Fargo has been the ONLY Financial Institution that has been so difficult, next to impossible to work with. Wells Fargo is not a Customer Oriented nor Customer Friendly Company. I have an XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX who has been working " hand in hand '' with myself relevant to my Case. I contacted Wells Fargo and made them aware of this. Wells Fargo instructed me to send them a notarized Power of Attorney to validate this. Therefore my Fraud Restoration Specialist would have access to my accounts as authorized by myself. I, of course, submitted the necessary paperwork to Wells Fargo. XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX My Case XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX ID Restoration. I immediately complied with the requests of Wells Fargo -- - and still Wells Fargo doesn't allow my appointed person and Company, to have access to my information to seek proper resolution. So ironic, is the fact that Wells Fargo basically shut me out of my accounts, for several months and refused to give me access to my accounts -- even with proper ID, yet seemed to give these identity thieves free access to drain all my retirement monies, even after I had everything set in place to prevent this.

Consumer Complaint: The thing I have payed for is not reported. Some collections are not correct. I once had an address on there with no linkage between me. Ive paid numerous bills and debt. Paid for two different credit agencies to fix credit problems. It was a rip off. My credit score should be higher than what it is. I pay all my bills. XXXX didnt give us our money back after false reporting we did not clean room. Which was not true. Ive lost unnecessary money, due to people negligent or not caring. I had just got my XXXX XXXX out of tow shop, for them to come get it. I had to pay for that out of pocket.

Issue: Trouble using your card
Subissue: Credit card company won't increase or decrease your credit limit
Consumer Complaint: I received a letter from Wells Fargo stating they decreased my credit limit from {$4300.00} to {$1800.00} for the following reasons : Late Payments or Negative record 12 months Too Little time since credit card opened Recent Late Payments on my credit report The letter states the decision was based on my consumer credit report. It also states my current score is XXXX ( score range from XXXX - XXXX ) When I called Wells Fargo on XX/XX/2023 and told them none of the above was true, I never had any late payments on my credit report from any on my credit cards including Wells Fargo. I was told it was because my bank checking accounts had showed bad banking history. I do not owe Wells Fargo any money for fees as they take their money for NFS fees when I go negative. I havent paid them excessive fees for NFS and truly believe that this action is racially motivated on behalf of Wells Fargo. My credit utilization across the board is an average of 26 %. Now that Wells Fargo has lowered my limit, my utilization with them shot up to 76 %. This is an direct attack to damage my credit rating. The letter I received is slander and nothing on the letter is true. The letter should of reflected what I was told by the credit card Department representative. This is a XXXX attempt to destroy my credit rating I work hard to establish. I am an XXXX XXXX XXXX and this is systemic XXXX as well discrimination we continue to endure in this country.

Issue: Struggling to pay your loan
Subissue: Lender trying to repossess or disable the vehicle
Consumer Complaint: I just received a letter from Wells Fargo Auto Finance dated XX/XX/ 2023, threatening to repossess the vehicle after a representative and I spoke to get information to them as to why the payments are late. I told the rep that I had part of my right ear amputated, and just got back to work. He said that Wells Fargo Auto would work with me on this. Now I`m getting threatening letters stating they're going to repo my vehicle. This was a faulty loan to begin with, and the loan application is fraudulent, my signature appears three times on it, and it is not my signature. Still, I`m catching up on my back payments, and Wells Fargo Auto Finance is not helping me as they promised.

Consumer Complaint: Dear CFPB, I am writing this letter to lodge a complaint against Wells Fargo Bank for their fraudulent practices targeting consumers. Despite my previous attempts to complain, I had to contact Wells Fargo again today to inquire about the amount I need to pay on my previous bill. I specifically asked the agent to calculate the amount, considering that there are four disputed charges that should be deducted. The agent performed the calculation and informed me that I could subtract approximately {$250.00} because the four disputed charges are still pending, and I am not required to pay or incur any interest. I then informed the agent that I had recorded our conversation as evidence in case there are any future issues for which they would be responsible. Immediately, she panicked and tried to transfer my call to her supervisor, retracting everything she had just said. This banks behavior is outrageous! They shamelessly deceive consumers, neglect disputes, and employ various forms of deception. They even claim that undisputed charges were not provided by the customer! Wells Fargo bank has shown me the ugliest side of American capitalist banking. This bank is on the verge of collapse ; they must be facing severe financial instability. I now have two recorded pieces of evidence : 1. A complete recording of the conversation regarding the disputed charges and the information provided. 2. A recording of the banks fraudulent misrepresentation of the correct repayment amount. I kindly request regulatory authorities to oversee this matter. If this shameless bank continues its obstinate behavior after my complaint, I am prepared to cooperate with the CFPB to take further legal action. Sincerely, XXXX

Consumer Complaint: In XX/XX/2022 Wells Fargo Home Mortgage admitted that it had incorrectly miscalculated fees and other charges related to my mortgage foreclosure process of {$1000.00}. See Wells Fargo XX/XX/2022 letter attached. In XX/XX/2022 Wells Fargo Home Mortgage admitted that it overcharged me {$3300.00} in expenses when it evaluated my mortgage loan modification application. These errors resulted in an overstatement of the attorneys fees in the calculation, which caused my qualified borrower application not to be offered a loan modification. See attached Wells Fargo Letter. Wells Fargo Home Mortgage has not fixed my issues and continues to fail to offer me a borrower loan modifications and adequate remediation to my mortgage account which experienced incorrect loss-mitigation outcomes, including wrongful foreclosure.
