Consumer Complaint: Standander is stating i have a debt with them, regarding an auto loan. I know they have the wrong person. This is a family members debt with the same name has me. This has happen a lot, and I tired to file a fraud paperwork but because the family member has taken out the debt and had it repo. I don't have a lot of options. When I call in to customer service, I give them my social and they can't pull up the debt. I'm not sure what to do, but this had landed on my credit and I can't get an auto, or house loan, or any type of credit.

Consumer Complaint: I received my most recent statement from Chrysler Capital Friday XXXX XXXX. I made a payment using bill payer from my bank, which I use for all my payments with Chrysler Capital. Reviewing the statement I had questions about the balance on my loan. I contacted Chrysler Capital and discussed the issue with their rep. I confirmed that the original loan was for {XXXX}. I asked the rep to confirm how payments I had made. At one point it was XXXX, another then XXXX, and then XXXX. He had no idea which number was correct. Reviewing the statement it stated I had made XXXX payments of {XXXX} each. He confirmed the amounts of the payments. I asked why if I had made XXXX {$XXXX} payments why my payoff showed a total of {XXXX}. I asked why it was that high since XXXX X XXXX is {XXXX}. Subtracting the {XXXX} from {$XXXX} leaves a balance of {XXXX}. Why was the payoff {XXXX} more on the statement? He checked various records but could not come up with any explanation and promised to have someone or hi boss call me before the end of the day. No one called. I have no confidence that Chrysler Capital has any idea of what is going on with my account and do not trust them. Why ca n't they find records that can explain what happened to my payments and the discrepancy between my calculations of what the payoff balance should based on their record on my statement reporting I had made XXXX payments.

Consumer Complaint: I had a car loan through Santander Bank. My loan originated in XXXX. After 2 years of paying on the loan I couldnt understand why the loan amount was n't going down. I had talked to them in the past but never really paid to much attention. When I finally really started looking at my statements I came to discover that with the {$510.00} a month car payment I made only {$9.00} was going towards my loan every month..I couldnt believe it. Come to find out, they also added XXXX a day to another loan for a personal friend of XXXX she had no idea they were doing ... Her {$1600.00} loan turned into over {$15000.00} in the end ... Santander bank as a whole is a relentless corporation and they are thieves ... I feel that someone should seriously look into how much money they are stealing from consumers EVERY DAY!!! THEY NEED TO BE INVESTIGATED!!!

Consumer Complaint: On XXXX XXXX, XXXX a payoff posted to my account in the amount of XXXX from XXXX XXXX from the trade of the XXXX XXXX. That was the payoff amount that I received from the system. The account was closed as well. For some reason I decided to login my account and say that it had been reopened with a balance of XXXX due on XXXX XXXX, XXXX. Lets keep in mind that I do n't have this vehicle anymore and it was paid off because I received another vehicle. I called in about a week ago and in the notes they put that payment was applied incorrectly and that it was reapplied. Then something was noted about a returned payment from XXXX months ago. I do n't know how that is possible. What I do know is that no extra money had been put in my bank account and no payment was returned. In addition, XXXX XXXX Sent me a refund of about XXXX on a refund card that I received in the mail the weekend of XXXX XXXX. I need this rectified immediately.

Consumer Complaint: Dear Sir/Madam, I had taken out a loan on auto from Santander bank , in 2014 , i paid off the loan on first week of XXXX . I asked the bank as well notified by confirming with the consumer bank team that the loan is paid off. Since then i am have been getting a run around from address confirmation, shipping of title , release letter and so on, everytime i call a new supervisor comes on board and gives a new story where they say the title and lien release letter has been sent via XXXX XXXX , sometimes they regular mail, 7-10 business days, recently employee XXXX supervisor refuse to verify anything, providing incorrect info from all previous supervisors. she again stated a new ship date which was again XX/XX/XXXX and she turner around and stated, its has to be notarized and a lien release -letter sent and then may be days ..she never wanted to give accurate info. I am very upset , since i recently sold my vehicle and the gentleman who bought was with at the bank as they told him 7- business days, but up till no i am getting run around . Please i need some assistance or push the bank to act and take responsibility for their actions.i can be reached at XXXX

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, Santander Consumer USA repossessed my vehicle. To my suprise when I called the next day, Santander told me I was XXXX behind on payments. I told them I was unaware of this, but they told me they could not reach out to me as my number was on the DNC list ( a rep placed my number on there mistakenly as the secondary number XXXX was no longer there ). Having said that, I was fine with this amd wanted to work out a payment plan ( I have paid XXXX to the vehicle ; the car was XXXX at retail. Santander has refused to do this. Initially they stated I owed a total of XXXX ; when I spoke to a rep on XX/XX/XXXX, I was told I could pay XXXX to pay the car off. I am not sure why they will not work with me ( they state the loan is charged off, but somehow they still have the loan ) and I am willing to work on the payment. I made a payment of XXXX on the XX/XX/XXXX ( my total amount monthly amount is XXXX paid XXXX less because XXXX had to go to getting TN tags albeit I was going to pay my XXXX that Friday ). I have 8 payments remaining. I have offered auto draft and a host of other options, but they have acted like predators requesting a lump sum. Furthermore, them reducing the amount let 's me know they can. I have also offered to pay more ( XXXX ) for the monthly amount. Can someone please assist as I would like the car back and for it not to go to auction? Also, tis company is still addin late fees and deliquency although the loan is charged off.

Consumer Complaint: I initially received my car loan for my XXXX XXXX that I purchased at XXXX in XXXX Alabama on XXXX XXXX, XXXX for {$14000.00} and have made monthly payments of {$380.00} since. My balance is at {$10000.00}. After five years of paying {$23000.00} on a {$14000.00} loan I have only paid less than {$4000.00} in interest. My payment this month went 100 % toward interest ( after 5 years of paying ) and my payment last month of {$380.00} only put {$61.00} toward interest. In early XXXX of this year I paid {$1000.00} and asked that it put directly toward principal as it was besides my normal payment, Santanders put {$210.00} toward interest and the rest toward principal I had to call several times and threaten to sue before they reversed the payment and put it all toward principal, my very next payment they only put the {$61.00} toward principal and this last payment, none.
