Consumer Complaint: Victimized by predatory lending when purchased used car. My credit score was not even that low to merit a sub prime lender. The lender immediately started imputing fees and I got further and further behind. They called 10-20 times a day, seven days a week and when I asked them to stop but rather put it in writing they said I had a cease and desist order, of which I never did. They said I missed two payments ( $ XXXX/mo ) in the life of the loan and on XX/XX/XXXX they repossessed my car. I purchased the car XX/XX/XXXX for {$12000.00} and to date have paid more than {$10000.00}. According to the lender, because of the " simple interest loan '' and my outrageous APR ( 25 % ) I still owe them {$11000.00} and now my credit is ruined and I have no car. HELP PLEASE!

Consumer Complaint: I am sending a request for complain for my car loan because over the past months I have been making my regulatory payments, but my car loan has been charging me fees after fees. The credit sale contract was from XX/XX/XXXX-XX/XX/XXXX and I was suppose to finish paying off the car by the end of last year. They send me a notice of intent to repossess my car that if I don't pay by the amount of $XXXX by XX/XX/XXXX they will repossess the car out of the other amount of fees that add up to $XXXX. The name of the car bank is called Santander. If I've been making my payments and the car bank has been charging me fees over the past months I think it can be a fraud. I'll like for whoever reaches this complaint to investigate this issue.

Consumer Complaint: Santander Consumer USA approved a car loan for me in XXXX with a very high interest rate of 19 %. I have been struggling to pay the note sometimes but I manage to make the payments. Back in XXXX I went to work on a different job so I was making the monthly payment as well as sending an extra XXXX to XXXX a month when the months had 5 weeks. I was sending XXXX extra a week they were taking XXXX a week in interest and applying XXXX a week to the principal even though I had my monthly payments auto debited from my account each month. The extra XXXX a week I was sending was suppose to be going toward the principal. After I had sent XXXX extra dollars and couldn't get Santander consumer to put those extra payments toward my principal I stopped sending extra. I got laid off from my job in XXXX of XXXX. I started sending in XXXX a week to cover my car note as I was getting unemployment payments for XXXX a week. and XXXX a week for 4 weeks is XXXX which will cover my note of XXXX I am having problems getting them to apply those payments correctly each month. I sent XXXX for 4 weeks in XXXX which was to cover my XXXX payment but every time I call them they give me a story. Back in XXXX when I paid the extra XXXX they told me that even though I had maid the extra payments it did not guarantee me that my principal balance would go down so I asked them to refund my XXXX since it did not reduce my principal balance and they told me XXXX of the extra XXXX a week i was sending was going to interest at which the interest had been satisfied for the month because i was paying my monthly payment plus the extra each week while I was working a good job. Please help me get my money back or at least applied correctly

Consumer Complaint: I took out a used car loan with Santadar for a XXXX XXXX XXXX. The truck has a payoff balance of {$29000.00}. I recently lost my job and missed XXXX payment. The monthly payment for my truck is {$660.00} but the past due balance was close to {$1500.00}. I confirmed with a customer service agent with the company that I was only XXXX payment behind. Santander seems to calculate their current balance by any missed payment, the current payment due and the next upcoming payment grossly misrepresenting the amount owed. I asked my I was getting collections notices as I was not behind 90 days. The representative had no answer. I missed my second payment in XX/XX/XXXX. I did not receive any notices in the mail about the company repossessing my vehicle. In the late evening hours on XX/XX/XXXX, I walked outside and my truck had been resposessed. There was no contact information left by the tow company and the offices of Santander were closed. I received no notice that my vehicle would be repossessed since my missed payment in XXXX and the date of resposession. I have missed XXXX payments with Santander and my upcoming due payment would have fallen on XX/XX/XXXX. I have not missed XXXX payments nor am I 90 days late yet the balance due as stated on my Santander account is {$2800.00}. When I called into after my first missed payment I was not given any information on lowering the payments due to hardship or why I was receiving call after call and a huge unwarranted outstanding balance.

Consumer Complaint: XXXX XXXX has been overcharging Im imterest and allocating fees without my consent when directed to go toward pricinpal reduction not fees. During the months of XX/XX/2017 the applied 8 payments of $ XXXXtowards outstanding fees when directed toward principal reduction and another month did {$130.00} towards fees that should have been a principal reduction this has created more interest to be paid on the loan. When I called to discuss the matter with them the representative was extremely rude and stated your XXXX XXXX wont get you anything or further with me. This was not accepts Le behavior. Santander ( parent company of XXXX XXXX ) is one of the largest subprime auto lenders who could be charging this to many clients creating {$1000.00} of unlawfully charged interest. My interest rate is low however other clients, XXXX have higher and not be as informed.

Consumer Complaint: The original financed amount of this car loan ws {$17000.00}. We have paid so far {$31000.00} because of late payments and nonsense fees. The representative explained that there is still a principal balance of {$3200.00} because so much of our payments was applied to these fees and interest charges. That means {$13000.00} was not for the car. {$12000.00} went to interest and {$680.00} was applied to late fees. Now I realize late payments impact a car loan, but this is usury.
