Consumer Complaint: I am a victim of identity theft. Due to the Corona Virus Pandemic, we are all facing which has me sitting still at home and I saw the recent news about the multiple XXXX Data breaches. I decided to look at my credit reports from the 3 major credit bureaus and found that someone had used my Identity. I have no idea how the theft took place. I also have no knowledge of any suspects. I did not receive any money, goods, or services as a result of identity theft. I contacted the Credit Bureau and told me to file an Identity Theft Report which I am doing. I appreciate your effort in getting this matter resolved. Thank you. Please let me know if you need any other information from me to block this information from my credit report. Thank you.

Consumer Complaint: I entered into a contact with Santander Consumer USA approximately 31 months ago. The amount of {$13000.00} was financed, at an interest rate of 23.8 %, for the purpose of purchasing a 2015 XXXX XXXX XXXX ( VIN : XXXX ) from XXXX XXXX ( XXXX, FL ). To date, I have paid Santander the amount of {$12000.00}, over 31 months, toward satisfaction of this loan. While I have paid {$12000.00} over 31 months of a 72-month loan taken in the amount of {$13000.00}, and tried to satisfy his obligation early, Santander demands yet another {$11000.00} ( {$23000.00} in total, at a profit of nearly % 70 ) before it will release the title. Profiting in the amount of {$9700.00} from lending me {$13000.00}, over 31 months, would seem to constitute usury and violate clearly established laws governing consumer protection. The GAP insurance product that was sold to me by Santanderthat added nearly {$1000.00} to his loanhas already been declared unlawful.https : XXXX. Subprime, predatory lending practiceslike what occurred herehave already resulted in a number of consent decrees against Santander.https : XXXX. Like millions of Americans during the pandemic, I experienced some financial hardship as a result of lost income stemming from the impact of COVID-19. During this period, Santander offered assistance through loan extension programs. While these extensions were marketed as COVID-related relief, Santander applied an additional {$610.00} in undisclosed fees to the account, which I was not told about. The extensions also resulted in additional interest under terms that were not clearly defined at the time they were marketed as pandemic relief. The Truth in Lending Act ( TILA ) aims to ensure that borrowers such as myself receive a clear and understandable layout of certain costs and terms. TILA also requires lenders to lay out the terms in a uniform way, and make the risks and costs of borrowing transparent, and to protect consumers from predatory lending. The terms of my loan with Santander fail to satisfy TILA requirements on a number of fronts. Particularly, those provisions identified on Page 3 ( OTHER IMPORTANT AGREEMENTS ). At no time did I understand that even if I were to pay off this loan 42 months early that I would be liable for an additional {$9700.00} beyond the principal amount borrowed. The below calculations explain the problems with my loan. I'm seeking a settlement for the rest of this loan. Paying Santander Consumer USA nearly 170 % of the loan amount he received is outrageous. About {$4100.00} I can pay cash for the explained unpaid amount. Santander shows about {$3200.00} remaining that is keeping me from getting title and owning a vehicle I have paid over {$26000.00} for in 7 years. Santander is threatening to repossess vehicle and has reported me late to credit agency even though I have continued making payments past maturity date. I want to pay deferments and late fees and get my Title.

Consumer Complaint: There was a data breach with XXXX credit bureau during the summer of 2017 that put my personal information at risk. There was also a fake loan company, called XXXX, that tricked me into giving them my personal information including my sign-on credentials for online banking : user id and passwords. This resulted in a fraudulent auto loan from a company called Santander Consumer USA to be on my credit report. The thieves also tampered with my XXXX XXXX XXXX accounts and credit cards which caused collection agencies to be involved. I've been disputing the auto loan with Santander, but they keep asking for more information from XXXX. I asked one of the agents about more information, and she said the seven-step recovery plan they created for me is all they have on XXXX This includes letters to creditors, credit bureaus, and the FCRA. Sad to say I'm still struggling with identity theft right now, as I've been informed that there have been some disputes on my credit report that I did not initiate or request.

Consumer Complaint: On the date of XX/XX/2021 Santander consumer USA illegally processed an unauthorized ACH on a returned check, this caused my checking account to be severely over drafted impacting my living situation. Not only was this done without my authorization, this re-presentment of a hand written check that was almost dated a week ago and already returned for insufficient funds, was illegitimately processed a 2nd time causing an unnecessary financial hardship. Practices such as this seem not only unfair but deceptive.

Consumer Complaint: I have a loan with tChrysler Capital since 2017 Ive been trying to make payments on time then COVID-19 hit and I was having a problem to make a full payment and I pay last than {$680.00} on 2 payments I make less than my regular monthly payment 2 times because I didnt have the total amount of the monthly payment of {$680.00} Because COVID-19 I was having a hard time to making the payments and Chrysler capital report to my credit files that I miss payments but the reality was that I pay last than {$680.00} 2 times and Chrysler capital report it as a missing payment.. I called And I send it them a later asking them to take the negative report from my credit files but they refused to do and told me they will not help me .. My account is updated and I like it for Chrysler capital get the negative report out from my credit file and they are refusing to do it Im here to get help with Chrysler capital about getting them to get the negative report from my credit files soon as possible..
