Consumer Complaint: PORTFOLIO RC was advised to investigate a few things that I believe are inaccurate and their response came back as " verified ''. All they sent was a computer generated response regarding my Re-Investigation. I asked for a a copy of the contract that I signed ( which is my right to do so ), a full account history of this debt, every payment that was made and all interest that was applied. Those were MY specific request. It appears obvious to me that they are abusing their power under the FCRA to escape a complete investigation. I have been requesting, since since XX/XX/2021, verification of this alleged debt that they claim I owe to this company company and which they are reporting on my credit files. However, this company has failed to obtain and send me legal verification as mandated by the law

Consumer Complaint: I am writing this letter in because I checked my credit reports for accuracy as I am in the process of being pre-qualified for my very first mortgage through the First Time Homeowners Buyers program, and I saw a debt from PORTFOLIO RC for XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX in the amount of {$600.00}. Since I do not believe I owe this debt, I am requesting that you comply with Section 809 of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and send me verification and validation as well all documentation proving that I owe this debt ; and ( 4 ) A copy of your license to practice debt collection in my state. I am also requesting that you send a copy of this letter to the original creditor notifying them that I dispute this debt so that they can not report it as delinquent on my credit report. Likewise, if you have reported this debt to any credit bureau, I request that you also report to them that I dispute owing the debt. Please notify me when you have done so. If you need to contact me in the future, I insist that you do so by mail. I am not allowed to receive personal telephone calls at my place of employment.
