Consumer Complaint: I am making this complaint because I realized the FDCPA laws Effective XX/XX/2021, an amendment to Regulation F, says that a debt collector can't report a debt to the XXXX major credit reporting agencies, XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX, before first contacting the consumer. Specifically, before reporting a debt to a credit reporting agency. This company did not contact me or make me aware of this alleged debt specifically prior to placing it onto my consumer report!

Consumer Complaint: The business sent me a letter informing me that I owed them {$700.00}. I sent a certified letter to Portfolio Recovery Associated on XX/XX/2022. I asked for a letter of debt verification. I received a response from the business on XX/XX/2022. According to the letter, I owe {$660.00}. It contained numerous comments that were out of order. They were separated by months. A letter saying that the account was sold for {$700.00} was also sent. However, they issued a letter in an effort to recover {$700.00}. Then, on XX/XX/2022, I wrote them another letter demanding further details. Considering that they did not provide the documentation I asked in my initial letter. The same assertion from the first letter was repeated in a letter I later received from the corporation. Even so, I looked at my credit report. Additionally, it states that they are attempting to recoup {$700.00} on there. Also both of the letters that I received from this company were written the same way. Including the same information and documents.
