Consumer Complaint: This debt collector has not provided notice of when the original debt occurred and submitted collection as of XXXX/2020. I still do not recognize this debt from any prior purchases. This debt collector has sent invoice documents that I do not recognize since I never made any purchases through XXXX ( original debtor ). This collection notice needs to be removed from my credit report. I did not recognize this debt and don't understand how it was even opened for collections in XXXX, 2020 so it can be related to identity theft.

Consumer Complaint: Portfolio Recovery keeps calling after I specifically requested a written validation of the debt. I requested that they not call me any further until I have written validation sent to me. They called me on XX/XX/XXXX and I requested the written validation of the debt and for them to cease calling until that time. They called me again XX/XX/2023 from a number that is verified to be from Portfolio Recovery. I want the calls to stop and them to honor the FCRA. I do have the call recorded when I requested them to validate it. I will attempt to attach it here

Consumer Complaint: First call I received was an automated message requesting a call back. I never consented to ADAD calls to my cell phone. I called back and found out they were looking for my brother. I told them not to call me again that this was not a good number for my brother. Since the first call, I have received atleast 3 more calls, all of which I explained that they should not be calling my cell phone from a dialer, and that they should not be calling me at all because I already told them this was not a good number. Yesterday I explained that I work in the same industry, and every call is a violation of the TCPA and FDCPA, and they need to update their records to stop calling me. Then today they called again! I again informed the representative and the manager of the issue, and they just said they would update the record. However this isnt just about ME, as I spoke to more than one rep, this seems to be a training issue or a systems issue.

A recent payment of {$150.00} is presented as paid on XX/XX/XXXX. I have no knowledge of this account or {$150.00} payment that was made. The payment history reflecta a " C '' without a corresponding {$150.00} payment as reflected being made XX/XX/XXXX. A dispute was filed and the account information updated XX/XX/XXXX. The aforementioned item being reported is scheduled for removal this year, XX/XX/XXXX. In my opinion, this fraudulent {$150.00} payment is an attempt to extend the statute of limitations and in direct violation of the FDCPA established in 1978.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2023, Portfolio Recovery Associates LLC sent hearsay statements on an alleged account that was not owed. PRA is failing to cooperate with me in providing the proper documentation I have asked for. As asked for with my original complaint here and with my complaint with the Tennessee Department Of Commerce and Insurance ( Collection Board ) They have failed to provide a contract with my signature consenting that I have allowed to conduct business with them, they have failed to provide an original purchase agreement with my signature on this alleged account, they have failed to provide a cardholder agreement signed on this alleged account, and failed to provide a sum certain showing how this alleged amount was arrived at. PRA has failed to show proper verification as " Verification '' is defined in XXXX XXXX XXXX ( XXXX XXXX ) as " Confirmation of correctness, truth or authenticity by affidavit, oath, or deposition ''. I demand this to be verified by an affidavit from a competent person. If PRA can not verify or provide the proper documentation on this alleged account I demand PRA to close this file within their office, cease collection activity, and do not report to ANY of the credit bureaus. I will not tolerate PRA unfair business practices and I will not engage in any business activity on an alleged account with PRA that I did not consent to.
