Consumer Complaint: I refinanced my home with PNC on XX/XX/XXXX. I did not want to set up an escrow account, but the loan officer told me that it is mandatory for closing and I can call and cancel at anytime after closing. - In XX/XX/XXXX I sent a request to cancel the escrow account. My request was denied and I was told that my loan-to-value ratio does n't qualify. - In XX/XX/XXXX I sent another request to cancel the escrow account. My request was denied and I was told I have to complete 12 payments to qualify. - In XX/XX/XXXX I sent another request to cancel my escrow account. My request was approved, but PNC demanded that I must pay approximately {$1300.00} fees for closing the escrow account. I talked to the executive client relation, and they told me the fees is to offset the rate discount I received at closing. I was never told that during closing. I read the contract and there is no mention of any fees dues when an escrow account is closed. I was deceived at closing, and I was given various reasons for the refusal of my request, and finally the bank want to charge me exuberant fees to sway me not to close the escrow account.

Issue: Problem caused by your funds being low
Subissue: Overdrafts and overdraft fees
Consumer Complaint: I had four items coming out of my checking account within 3-4 days of each other. One withdraw was for a automatic payment to my overdraft account for {$25.00} dated XX/XX/XXXX. Two withdraws were for {$180.00} and one withdraw at ATM for {$60.00} dated XX/XX/XXXXTwo of the other withdraws were for XX/XX/XXXX at {$25.00} a piece. One larger one for {$400.00} was dated for XX/XX/XXXX.At the time there was {$100.00} left in account on XX/XX/XXXX and {$88.00} in OD account, plus a upcoming payroll deposit of {$460.00} dated XX/XX/XXXX.The checking account was debited the {$400.00} amount first causing the other debits to come up short and causing 4 - {$36.00} OD fee charges. Then within two days of this incident a payment for {$45.00} was withdrawn, and I was charged for {$36.00} for a NSF fee. When I contacted the bank they had no viable information on how this happened or why it happened. During this time I had to scramble to borrow money from family members to cover shortage and extra fees that would be accruing. The bank charges {$36.00} OD or NSF fees plus {$7.00} a day for four days after transaction. This would have wiped out my upcoming pay period not to say that I was short half a payday for the next three weeks paying back my relatives.

Consumer Complaint: On or about XX/XX/XXXX my external transfer access was denied. XX/XX/XXXX called the customer service number and was told that because the external account did not have my name ( only my husbands name ) that I could not process the external transfer ( this transfer had been in place and had been transferred for the previous 10 months ). The customer service agent advised me to use the POP feature to transfer the money. This issue has been resolved. The issue I need resolved is the following : When I logged into the POP feature the " accounts to be transferred from '' listed all my current accounts, but also listed nine ( 9 ) additional accounts that were at least eight ( 8 ) years old and all had been closed. The most alarming issue is that these accounts all had balances totaling over {$20000.00}. I went to the local branch and was told that " there must have been a glitch in the system ''. I did not accept this as an adequate answer. They then escalated the issue within their customer service. I received a call explaining the external funds issue, but they would not address the balances in the 8 year old closed accounts. I called several more times to no avail. In the interim they deleted the old accounts in my POP feature, but one old account still remains ( with a XXXX balance ).

Consumer Complaint: My mother in law ( XXXX ) and me had purchased one condo each in XXXX, IL in XX/XX/XXXX. Financed through XXXX XXXX XXXX.They had a loan officer with a desk in the condo sales office. We financed through National City because we felt they did the due diligence research before offering loans for this condo development. It is highly unlikely the loan officer did not know fraud was taking place. He was in the office throughout the sales pitch and he was present at our escrow closing. Due to Developer committing mortgage fraud, many buyers were foreclosed on and prices plummeted causing losses for us in excess of $ XXXX each. My mother in law is attempting to short sale her unit. I have attached the Federal Government charging the Developer and 5 of his accomplice in XX/XX/XXXX with 30 counts of fraud, making false claims and promising unsustainable incentives. One of the accomplice has pleaded guilt ( attached ) to lying to banks and mortgage companies about over 50 % of the units were sold to assure they would offer loans. We should have never been approved for a loan.

Consumer Complaint: I have had a PMI with PNC Bank XXXX formerly XXXX XXXX ) since XXXX. I 've recently had an nationally certified appraisal on my property and realized the value has now exceeded the necessary 80 % Loan-to-Value amount. I reached out XXXX/XXXX/XXXX to PNC Bank to proceed on removing PMI and was informed that PNC Bank is requiring me to conduct an appraisal through an appraisal company they own and pay an appraisal fee that is twice the normal amount. They refused the nationally certified appraisal and are denying my ability to remove the PMI I qualify for until I pay their fee. I cited that none of the mortgage/closing documents say I have to use PNC Bank 's appraisal company. They agreed that there is no language or binding agreement, but that they have instituted this policy and will not budge.

Consumer Complaint: Several transaction posted to my account which were not authorized or duplicates. I contacted the bank to dispute these which was done without issue. I was informed by the bankers loss prevention department on this day XXXX XXXX that the bak placed a freeze on the account to keep it from going more negative and I asked if the account was being closed. They said no it was not and to call back once the disputes had gone through and any remaining negative balances were resolved and that the accounts would be unfrozen, no issues. Cash was deposited today to cover any remaining amounts overdrawn and to cover an outstanding check that was written. The bank gave me to run around for several hours and refused to release to hold on the account, even to give me back the cash that was deposited just hours before. One branch manager at the XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX named XXXX refused to help me and told me I needed to leave when told that I would be contacted the CFPB if this was n't resolved. The bank is still refusing to release to hold or release my funds and the banker I worked with before the mananager told me he did n't know when, if the funds would ever be unfrozen.
