Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I was charged {$15.00} in fees. This was the result of overdrafting my checking account and money being automatically transferred from my savings account, both of which are in my PNC virtual wallet. I have had this occur numerous times before, and was never assessed a fee. And now, out of nowhere, I was charged {$15.00}.

Subissue: Problem using a debit or ATM card
Consumer Complaint: On XXXX I was contacted by PNC loss prevention about possible fraudulent activity on my debit card. The card was cancelled at this time and I confirmed the transactions in question were in fact fraudulent. I was informed that PNC has a zero liability policy for their consumers so the fraudulently removed funds would be refunded to me. XXXX Two fraudulent transactions posted from XXXX in XXXX, MI dated XXXX. I called and disputed these transactions. I received a " provisional refund '' for both transactions in the amounts of {$52.00} and {$65.00}. XXXX A fraudulent transaction posted from XXXX in XXXX, MI. I called on XXXX and disputed the transaction and received a " provisional refund '' in the amount of {$55.00}. XXXX Two fraudulent transactions posted from XXXX in XXXX, MI. I called XXXX and disputed these transactions and received a " provisional refund '' in the amount of {$65.00} and {$100.00}. XXXX Three fraudulent transactions posted from XXXX in XXXX, MI. I called on XXXX and XXXX to dispute these transactions. The representative stated on my call on XXXX that she did not know why I was not issued a provisional refund and said I could call the Dispute Resolution Department. I was informed on my call on XXXX to the Dispute Resolution Department that I would not be issued a refund for these transactions " pending further investigation ''. The amount of these transactions were {$75.00}, {$75.00}, and {$74.00}. I was told it would be 10-90 days before I would receive a refund only if the charges were deemed fraudulent. PNC should be responsible for issuing my money back while they conduct their investigation considering their zero liability fraud protection for consumers. None of the representatives I have spoken to will give me an answer why they will not refund the last 3 transactions.

Subissue: Cashing a check
Consumer Complaint: On XXXX XXXX I had a cashier 's check mailed to me and I went to my PNC Bank to cash the check. They cashed it. The check amount was {$1300.00} to go towards a XXXX XXXX XXXX I was selling. {$300.00} of that was for my XXXX XXXX XXXX and the rest was to be transfer from XXXX to XXXX. The man that sent the check was named XXXX XXXX. The transfer was to go to an XXXX XXXX, XXXX TX XXXX. On XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX sent another Check in the amount of {$1600.00}, he stated the check was not enough for the movers to come get the bed. Now this check was shipped XXXX witha different name ( XXXX XXXX ) So I went to my XXXX XXXX to cash that one and the same teller that deposited the last check was doing what she needed on the computer and then she said hold on for a moment please. She went and whispered to another teller and then came back and said I can not cash for you, she stated I could go to XXXX XXXX XXXX where the check is issued from. This bank teller never told me my account was empty? in the red! So while I 'm almost out the door one of the rep 's stop me and I told her what 's going on and then left. Well she checked my account and called me. My account was wiped clean. She stated the check never should have gone through because it was a cashier 's check and they have to be signed, not stamped like this was. So, I went to the police, filed a complaint with the XXXX Nj Police. I then proceeded to call a supervisor of PNC, gave her all the info. Her name is XXXX XXXX XXXX. She got back to me and said the bank can not help me. I have no Christmas with my Family now. I am unable to do my food shopping for the month. I live on XXXX. The bank wants me to pay all the money in the red {$1100.00}. How can I? We are supposed to be able to trust our Financial Institute to keep our money safe. Consumer Complaint: i fully expect pnc to provide a script as an excuse to use the card act or some other excuse to try to keepo the XXXX i have read other custoemrs have left the bank due to this. I was charged 1.50 interest on approx XXXX dollars owed on my card ending XXXX I mistakenly paid it XX/XX/XXXX not the XX/XX/XXXX as my history indicates i would have. The payment system on pnc.com is hard to use. it does not allow you to confirm payments, does not allow you to do more than one in 3 days. Right now in my life i am not too organzied and i did not realize what i did. until it was too late. AS a scripted approach they tell me they alreayd refunded one to me. a 1.50 which they did. and they then try to tell you they cant treat you differently than others. Any other bank would give it back since my history indicates it is an accident. and the payment system could be much more customer frinedly please refund it without all the excuses. please. refund 1.50 i wont be using either account to avoid this issue which has happened to me before. i know its valid. i also know its clear this is an accident and if you value my business do the right thing without investing your resources telling me no which i totally expect

Subissue: Card company isn't resolving a dispute about a purchase or transfer
Consumer Complaint: I had a refund returned to my card, since XXXX does n't refund back to XXXX. The cashier told me to swipe any card. I swiped my PNC smart access card. A few days later my account was closed, I called a week later ( when I realized ) the rep told me I was contacted to send proof of purchase. Nope, there was no contact from the bank. I later on, took it upon my self to send in the fax and find the number and everything to resolve the issues. I have send the proof of purchase. And still no resolution. I 've called them every other day saying the same thing, no ipdate, we did n't receive the fax, call back again. I 'm now convinced nothing is going to get resolved. Please help. PNC is the worst bank ever.

Consumer Complaint: I traded a car that was financed through PNC Bank on XX/XX/XXXX. The dealer sent a check to PNC Bank in XXXX via XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX, which was received and cashed by PNC on XX/XX/XXXX, per the information on the back of the check. The correct VIN and PNC account number was provided on the document attached to the check, along with dealer information. However, the funds were never credited to the loan account, despite numerous phone calls to PNC Bank by me and the dealer 's finance/accounting representative. I personally have been in communication on a daily basis with no less than 5-6 individuals at PNC Bank, 3 of them in the Escalation Department with no resolution of the matter.

Subissue: Banking errors
Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, I closed two matured CD accounts at PNC Bank in XXXX, NC. Last week I received two checks from PNC Bank, one for {$7.00} and the other for {$6.00} with this cover note : " In the past, your account ending XXXX received a special rate offer or promotional rate. We recently became aware that you may be due one additional day 's interest because your rate expired one day earlier than disclosed. '' Two years have passed. I wanted to know the action that was taken by PNC that resulted in uncovering this error. Also, since PNC Bank had my money for two years without my consent or knowledge, at the very least they owe me two years ' interest on the money ... and if they had my money for two years, they had the money of other depositors who were similarly unaware. I phoned PNC Bank at XXXX and was given the same explanation as stated above. The " escalation '' agent was to get back to me with answers. I received a call earlier this week ( probably Monday, XX/XX/XXXX ) from XXXX XXXX ( unclear what her name is ) who gave me the same explanation as above. In short, a week went by and I received no answers. My concern in writing this complaint is that PNC Bank has withheld earned interest from CD depositors for two years. My amounts are peanuts, I know. The bigger questions are why did it take two years to learn that they had our money and why they have n't paid us interest on this money? Something 's seriously wrong here. Can you get an explanation and our interest for us?
