Consumer Complaint: I have had a PayPal account for many years and use it only infrequently for small purchases. I recently sold a surplus item on XXXX for about {$440.00} and the buyer paid via Paypal. That transaction closed successfully but I did not withdraw the funds and intended to " spend '' them on future small transactions. This week I sold another item on XXXX for a total of {$890.00} + tax. The buyer paid via PayPal but the transaction remained " pending '' for 2 days. I determined that the buyer had used my personal email account for the payment and that email address is not linked to my PayPal account. I added my personal email account and the payment completed within the hour. PayPal then immediately and permanently locked my account so that funds are not accessible and I am no longer permitted to use PayPal. I have made repeated attempts to find out why this was done or at least explain the circumstances leading to this but PayPal has only responded that my account is locked and their policy is not to disclose why. I'm told that PayPal will hold the funds in my account for 180 days and then contact me to tell me if the funds can be withdrawn. I was able to initiate a refund to my buyer but I'm concerned at PayPal 's ability to do this without warning or explanation. XXXX searches have revealed that this is not uncommon and other PayPal users have been similarly stonewalled.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I confirmed to make a new business PayPal account rather than using my personal account because i was confusing my transactions and not able to keep track of them. After a few days I begun receiving funds for my sales and sending invoices to some of my buyers, one is currently on a payment plan while the other paid in full. The transaction that was paid in full was around XXXX for a signed item. I added a tracking number for the product and the person who paid for it received it in the mail accordingly. The money was still on hold after a long time so I decided to enter more of my information into PayPal website to get my account a faster money transfer because its a high amount to have on hold. After adding my information into PayPal they said it would be under review after more than a week I hadnt heard back and emailed them. They said they would take a bit longer to confirm, later finally my account gets confirmed but then says theyve decided to permanently ban me for suspicious activity when I only have 3 transactions on my new business account with all the information needed and provided. They are holding more than XXXX of my money and I need to access this and be able to continue my business. Its a new account so I dont understand how theres been suspicious activity or breach of contract. I spoke to a PayPal representative and they said sometimes PayPal makes an error when banning accounts and I should call legal department but they did not answer or acknowledge my concerns. They can not provide proof of anything suspicious or illegal ive done because there IS nothing Ive done.

Consumer Complaint: the last year PayPal close my account for not reason and them will not help me with Getting it back up and going. Every time when I try to withdraw my money from my account PayPal hold my access. They just made all difficult for me. My account was already verified with all my personal information and I never made any mistake. I never had dispute or charge in my account. I do not know what the problem with PayPal is, but many Users have same problem, and the only answer of PayPal is said was Fraud activity. IF PayPal just hold money for everybody, I Guess PayPal must fix the problem. after 180 days i want take my money out but I still cant get access my money. please I need my money be release is pass 180 days.
