Issue: Applying for a mortgage or refinancing an existing mortgage

Consumer Complaint: In XX/XX/XXXX I applied for loan to refinance my home. I wanted to pull a small amount out and do repairs on my home built in XXXX. Got thru the process until it came time for OCWEN to provide pay off. I was told at that time that the pay off would not be the actual payoff, that I needed to pay OCWEN 25 % of equity the house accrued since my XXXX. Modification. The housing market at that time priced the home at about {$320.00}. OCWEN Wanted me to pay for an appraisal because they felt the house was worth about XXXX. I wouldve had to take out an additional XXXX {$60000.00} to pay them off which I could not afford. So they would not give the mortgage company a pay off and I was stuck. XXXX provided me with a copy of the loan and he did state I have to pay 25 % back. Although I cant imagine I wouldve agreed to pay 25 % of the equity in my home upon selling refinancing or giving it away and or giving inheritance. No lawn company will touch my loan.

Consumer Complaint: Since XX/XX/XXXX I have had a mortgage on my home a few years ago the mortgage was taken over by a company known as OCowen XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX, Florida, XXXX. I have never missed a payment and in fact make additional payments so that I can pay it off early. This was not a problem until XX/XX/XXXX. When I went into the company website to make an additional payment I found they had changed things and any additional payment would cost me {$7.00} for each payment. This is insane I want to give them money and pay off my mortgage sooner and they want to charge me? This is so wrong and needs to be stopped.

I HAVE ASKED FOR HELP, IN TEN YEARS I HAVE PAID OVER {$58000.00} BUT MY LOAN BALANCE HAS STAYED IN THE {$74000.00} AMOUNT IT HAS NOT DECREASED, AT ALL, THIS IS TERRIBLE, I FEEL LIKE I AM GETTING NO WHERE, ALSO THEY ARE NOT REPORTING TO THE CREDIT BUREAUS AT, ON MY CREDIT REPORT. I FEEL THEY ARE PREDATORY LENDERS. THEY WILL NOT GIVE ME AN UPDATED AMOUNT OWED. IF I HAVE PAID ON THIS LOAN FOR OVER 12YRS, WHY DO I STILL OWE {$70000.00}. WHY DO THEY THREATEN ME WITH FORECLOSURE. Issue: Struggling to pay mortgage

Consumer Complaint: I contacted Ocwen to for Modification. I have made every payment this year, however I am having trouble getting Ocwen to help Modify the loan. The use these stall tactics where they keep requesting the same information over and over again until you end up in foreclosure. I had to file a bankruptcy to stop it now I allowed my bankruptcy to lapse and Ocwen is now saying that they need additional paperwork. This happens over and over again. They did not honor the court order from before and they keep finding excuses to not approve the modification. I know they don't have to approve it but the stall tactics are not the proper way to do business. I have submitted my paperwork again and I have been submitting it for over a year now. Please help me get answers.

Consumer Complaint: I'm going to lose my home. My Mother passed away from XXXX XXXX last XXXX. Her name was on the checking accounts, debit cards etc. Her name was on the mortgage. I was unemployed as I was taking care of her. Now, I'm going through Probate Court. I was supposed to put a notice in the paper about for her creditors but I couldn't afford to put it in the paper as I had other expenses and bills and obligations to take care of. I do have a part time job that I started a few months ago. The thing is I can't afford these mortgage payments. In fact, I haven't paid the mortgage in about 9 months. I just couldn't afford it. They know this is as I have been corresponding with them for the past 9 months about this. They said that they can't really help me because I'm not on the Mortgage Account. Now, I have been going through this throughout the year. In XXXX, I was named XXXX of My Mother 's Estate. Also, I think it was in XXXX, I spoke to somebody from The IRS because My Mother had to pay almost XXXX dollars to The IRS but she had passed away by then and I couldn't afford it. They told me to call them in XXXX to get an extension, I think. I think it was for an extension. Today, I called my Mortgage Company and told me that I have to fill out and fax a Mortgage Assistance Application. The bank is suing me, The IRS and The Probate Court. I've never been sued so I believe that is right. I just don't know what my next option is. I would have paid the mortgage on time if I had the money. I just haven't had the money and not only that but I have had no where to go. Also, I have a Severe XXXX Illness that I'm trying handle but this doesn't help. Can somebody please help me? I'm very worried and very scared.

Consumer Complaint: The lender failed to calculate the payments according to the terms of the loan documents. This was a negative amortization loan and they failed to do the calculation in pursuant to the terms of the loan. The problem was till XX/XX/2014. They failed to provide a complete payment history from the day I took the loan. I requested again by sending a QUALIFIED WRITTEN REQUEST. ( QWR ). THEY IN TURN STATED WE HAVE TO DO A APPRAISAL. Before we can comply with your request. The Appraisal have nothing to do with the payment history. I strongly feel they missed payments which i made and need accounting

Consumer Complaint: In XX/XX/2018, I First received notice from Ocwen loan servicing stating that my condo insurance expired. I immediately contacted my Home owner association and submitted proof of insurance online. A few weeks later I received another mail that they did not receive my insurance coverage and that they were going to buy insurance on my behalf. I called in and spoke to agent who said I do have insurance but my hazard insurance has expired I explained to him that my overall coverage included hazard insurance. The agent put me on hold and called the insurance company who confirmed that hazard coverage was included. The agent then told me not to worry about it and everything would be taken care of. A month later I received the same letter that my insurance has expired Then I called in again and got confirmation that its been taken care of. Then a month later I got another email saying the same thing. This time I called and asked to speak to a supervisor and recorded the conversation as it was stated in the beginning of the call that this call may be recorded for training purposes. The supervisor who seems to be from XXXX put me on hold and then the call got disconnected and never called me back. I then submitted a claim to XXXX but didnt hear back Then on XX/XX/XXXX I received another certified mail saying my hazard insurance has expired and if I dont provide proof of coverage they will purchase it Talking to the agents have been very tiring and not so helpful. Theyseem to have a really strong accent and dont understand what we say. This is still not resolved.

Consumer Complaint: My mortgage accoun was approved for Streamline Modification on XX/XX/XXXX. Yesterday I received my XXXX payment back and OCWEN 's portal is now saying modification was not approved. My monthly payment {$700.00} was enrolled for Monthly Automatic Draft on the XXXX of every month and has been in effect since XX/XX/XXXX. Ocwen has been auto drafting my monthly payments. Yesterday I received XXXX payment via check dated XX/XX/XXXX. My account on XX/XX/XXXX was showing next payment due XX/XX/XXXX. Today my account is showing next payment due date as XX/XX/XXXX with {$350.00} due but the monthly automatic draft is still in effect for XX/XX/XXXX. My principal balance is incorrectly showing as {$180000.00} when debt was discharged in bankruptcy. OCWEN reported to the government in XXXX form XXXX a Cancellation of Debt in the amount of {$110000.00} and in XXXX form XXXX Mortgage Interest Statement reported my mortgage principal as of XX/XX/XXXX {$65000.00}. I also pulled my credit report from XXXX and XXXX and my mortgage which I've had since XX/XX/XXXX is not listed or being reported to the credit bureaus.

Consumer Complaint: We have been trying to get a reverse mortgage but we do not have enough equity. We requested Ocwen to accept a discounted payoff. At first the request was denied ang on XX/XX/18 I received a letter from Ocwen that they would accept a 90 % of principal balance payoff. Ocwen stated that XXXX XXXX, the trustee, had requested the discounted payoff. When we tried to move forward and asked for the discounted payoff letter from Ocwen, we were informed by Ocwen that because of the status of the loan, it was not eligible for a discounted settlement. The status being that the loan is current.
