Consumer Complaint: I received a check of {$2200.00} from a client as part of a tutoring program. I was originally meant to receive {$800.00} and the client client mentioned that he accidentally sent too much money Hi transferred the majority of the money back to the client. The check then bounced, so I lost {$2200.00} in a scam. I contacted my bank about it and they are unable to help. I have already contacted the local police about this matter

Consumer Complaint: XX/XX/2022 a check was deposited into my JP MORGAN chase checking account. XX/XX/2022 the check cleared with the bank I wrote my check from. On XX/XX/XXXX I went to the bank to get a statement proving my check cleared and took that statement to JP MORGAN. The branch manager refused to assist me with having my money released. She photocopied my bank statements and scanned them into the system and told me to call the chase deposit review. I called the chase review and they lied stating that they wont release the funds because XXXX XXXX didnt provide them with enough information for my check to be able to clear. I spoke with someone from XXXX who said that doesnt even make sense and why would they prevent me from receiving the check when its been cleared on their end. This isnt the first or second time JP MORGAN has done this to me. They have a problem thinking they can withhold peoples funds that they never put there in the first place. This company is known for the way they lie scam and cheat their customers. They do it often and they do it well. I kept this bank open simply because it was my longest opening account, and as soon as this money clears I will be closing the account entirely and still following up with complains. Im thanking myself I didnt choose this establishment to handle any of my estate affairs because they choose to make everything impossible. I have to wait until XX/XX/XXXX for a check that has been cleared since XX/XX/XXXX and they have had proof since XX/XX/XXXX. They hide behind their desks and their phones reading a stupid speech yet cant turn the monotone robotic voices off to help someone that can easily be assisted. Im looking into if others are currently going through this because JP MORGAN deserves another class action settlement against them.

Consumer Complaint: I noted {$6000.00} stolen from my Chase bank account on XX/XX/XXXX. $ XXXX from checking $ XXXX from savings. All withdrawals were made by cashier 's check XXXX XXXX separate checks of {$2000.00}. Bank told me to go to the local branch, and I met with the manager. While I was meeting with her, checks were cashed out in real time. Since the bank would get that info the next day, I returned to the bank the next day, XX/XX/XXXX. I was advised it would be an easy fix. Today, however, I was notified by the bank that money was withdrawn using my ID in Arizona ( XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, AZ XXXX ). Two representatives, XXXX and XXXX XXXX ( phone # XXXX ), both confirmed that the person presented my driver 's license, which is my possession. But when this happened, I was in XXXX with the banker, and the person withdrew this in the Arizona Chase branch. We reported this to XXXX Police Dept. Financial crimes unit, phone number XXXX. I am concerned about ID theft and will monitor it. Chase, after a long and tiring phone conversation, told us to submit a police report so they could open an official investigation. We are in the process of doing this.

Consumer Complaint: To whom it may concern, The account name JPMCB CARD with the number XXXX appeared on my personal credit report on XX/XX/2022. When I was alerted of the account via email, I contacted Chase bank to inquire about the account on XX/XX/2022 and XX/XX/2022. The customer service representatives I spoke to said that this account belongs to my former employer. My employment with the company ended on XX/XX/2022. Chase bank claims that I am personally liable for my former employers debt but refuses to provide evidence supporting this claim. There is no record of a signed personal guarantee or co-signer agreement and Chase has not provided any proof that I am liable for this account despite my numerous requests. The last customer service representative I spoke to at Chase recommended I dispute the account to the 3 credit bureaus, which I have done. XXXX appears to have removed the account from my file but the account is still on my XXXX and XXXX files. I would like this account removed from my personal credit files at all three credit bureaus since it is not my account and I am not personally liable for the account. Thank you

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2022, my husband 's wallet was stolen in the subway system in XXXX, XXXX. He lost his JP Morgan Chase debit card along with driver 's license, credit cards, etc. We notified Chase about the theft as soon as possible the same day. ( We were in a XXXX XXXX with limited cell phone functionality, so we weren't able to report the theft as quickly as in the XXXX ) The thief or his accomplice used the debit card to make XXXX purchases totaling {$1000.00}. All transactions took place on Friday XX/XX/XXXX and were processed on Tuesday, XX/XX/XXXX. At first, Chase reversed the charges, then changed course, said we were responsible for them after all, and removed the funds from our checking account. We had XXXX fruitless phone calls to the service line to try to understand the bank 's reasoning. The only information we were able to get was a schedule of the charges ( with dates, no time stamp ) and a statement that they were deemed valid because we approved or authorized them. We know the theft took place between XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX because we were on the subway during that time, on our way to a lunch date at XXXX. Chase must have a time stamp for the disputed charges that would show they took place after XXXX or so.
