Consumer Complaint: Summary : I ordered some checks from JPMorgan Chase Bank, but the checks are lost during mailing. Someone signed and cashed the checks for {$400.00}, and Chase refused to refund the money. Timeline : XX/XX/2022 : Ordered checks at Chase branch at XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, XXXX XXXX, no notification ( email, or message or phone call ) about the mailing of the check, no tracking number provided. No communication from the bank when the check will arrive. XX/XX/2022 : Someone signed a first check and cashed {$200.00} ( attached as XXXX ). XX/XX/2022 : Someone signed a second check and cashed {$200.00} ( attached as XXXX ). XX/XX/2022 ( approximate date ) : I first realized the check was never arrived and noticed the cashing out of the lost checks. I called Chase immediately, but the bank refused to refund the money and they said they need further investigation. XX/XX/2022 : No notice of investigation result from bank, so I call the bank and they said investigation is over and they refused to refund because the check was cashed out more than a XXXX ago. XX/XX/2022 : I went to branch to discuss but they said the decision is made and they can do nothing. Note : 1. When I ordered the checks in the branch, I was not explained when the checks will arrive and that I should contact Chase if the checks will not arrive after a certain date. 2. No notification in any forms ( phone call, email, message ) that the check was in delivering, no tracking in any sort. 3. I don't know whether the check is mailed to the wrong address, lost in the mailing process or got stolen from our mail box. However, we haven't lost mail / packages and the neighborhood is very safe. 4. I only noticed that check was not arrived until XX/XX/XXXX because there was a newborn to care in the mean time and as a first time mom it's very challenging. If there would be any kind of communication that the check was expected to arrive, I would have noticed that notified Chase.

I did receive the bonus miles promised. I received a letter, dated oddly enough, XX/XX/XXXX with the following words : " XXXX XXXX have an obligation to periodically review our customer relationships. We decided to close your credit card account on XX/XX/XXXX because of your connection to a publicly reported financial investigation. '' The letter is attached. I have an XXXX XXXX XXXX of XXXX at this moment ). It was over XXXX when I got the card. I believe the decrease is because of the increase in my percentage of credit due to their closing my card. I am retired and not involved in any financial or business dealings. I pay all of my bills and taxes. I am not under any type of investigation to my knowledge. About XXXX weeks ago I was able to reach someone at Chase ( A number of transfers ) that agreed to have the case reviewed and revert by mail in 10 Days. I have just received a letter thanking me for my valued business! No one at Chase will discuss this event with me under any circumstance. I am concerned about the effect on my otherwise stellar credit rating that I worked so hard to achieve!
