Consumer Complaint: To : XXXX XXXX XXXX, Chairman and CEO J. P. Morgan Chase XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX, NY XXXX Email : XXXX Re : Reporting Fraud on My Checking Account and Requesting Refund, Claim # XXXX XXXX XXXX Dear XXXX XXXX XXXX : Greetings! I am a Chase customer for about 25 years, of which, a private client customer for about 20 years. Late in XX/XX/XXXX, I recognized that Chase bank has debited {$9800.00} from my primary checking account without my authorization. The debit was on based on check number XXXX for {$5300.00} and check number XXXX for {$4500.00} ]. These checks which were faked and signed by a by a poor imitator.. The dates written by the faker on the faked checks were XX/XX/XXXX and XXXX [ I am not sure the date ] XXXX. The day I recognized this fraudulent activity, I met with bank XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX at the XXXX, IL XXXX XXXX ID : XXXX ] at the direction of the Branch XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX [ XXXX ID : XXXX ] in person. XXXX XXXX confirmed that these two payments were Chase-Chase transactions. XXXX XXXX, spoke on the phone with another bank officer in my presence and advised me to cancel my primary checking account and start another one with a new account number, which we did. XXXXXXXX XXXXr without reservation assured me that the money which was debited from my account without my authorization will be credited back to my new checking account number there was no if or but in what or how he related this to me. On or about XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX XXXX XXXX from the XXXX office called me and advised me that because the complaint was not filed with in 30 days ( of not sure from when ), Chase will not refund the money to the customer. I orally registered my disagreement. On XX/XX/XXXX, XXXX representing Chase called me from XXXX XXXX XXXX called me and related to me to the effect that Claims Department denied reimbursement because the complaint was outside a time-frame of 30 days ( of what event, I am not sure ). XXXX related to me that she is not allowed to give her last name or her NMLS number even though I requested them. She gave me the address for escalation if I would like to escalate. She would not give the name or title of a specific officer of Chase to whom I may address my escalation [ Only Executive Office ] So I am hereby escalating this matter to the Executive Office and to you Sir, as the Chief Executive Officer of J. P. Morgan Chase. I related to XXXX to the effect that : This is like an amount was stolen from Chase. Chase did not recognize this theft for, say 30 days of the theft. Will Chase take the position that because Chase did not recognize this theft for, say 30 days, Chase has no recourse and will not take any action. Is that how it is at Chase? So all that the thief has to do to go scot-free is make sure that the proper Chase officer does not notice the theft for, say 30 days? Therefore, I am requesting your personal intervention in this matter Pray : if you confirm that these money transfers were not authorized by me, please refund the moneys to my new checking account, and please advise me so. I would like to contunue friendly business relationship with the bank and with its officers I am familiar with. I would think that especially because this was a Chase-Chase transaction by fraud, it should be possible trace the money to the person to whose account the money was transferred. Pray, what if this fraudulent activity is being conducted by an insider? Thank you! Sincerely and respectfully, s/d - XXXX From XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX, IL XXXX XXXX, WI XXXX XXXX. XXXX XXXX XXXX ( C )

Subissue: Billing problem
Consumer Complaint: I set up an automatic monthly payment and have not missed a payment for the five years I had the car loan. But for some reason my very last payment did not automatically deduct and I did not receive a notification about it until two months later. I then went to a chase bank and paid the last monthly payment and the late fees with it.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, I made a payment to a 'marketplace ' consumer of {$300.00} through Chase bank 's XXXX XXXX I trusted that Chase would protect my purchases or payments so i used Chase 's payment program. Once I made a payment, it was pending but did not go through immediately. On the same day, my product was not delivered so I realized it was a scam. I called Chase the same day to halt or stop the pending payment, but they could not do so. Once it went through a few days later, I called Chase again to speak with a supervisor only to find out I can not be reimbursed. I asked if they can do a one-time waiver knowing I won't do that ever again. From my experience, all other peer to peer transactions from XXXX, XXXXXXXX XXXX XXXX have protections and many of their customer rights are protected by the Regulation E law, but not XXXX. It is unfortunate I was a victim of both parties, not knowing that Chase XXXX will not reimburse or protect their customers. It was until after the phone calls and my reimbursement can not be accepted, I had to research why. I have found out about the issues many customers have with XXXX and that I was now one of them.

Consumer Complaint: Lost my wallet with my CC and reported it and was put on XXXX hour hold at my request ( they do not tell you this option is available, they only want to cancel your card. ) After doing this I realized the card is attached to multiple electric vehicle charging accounts which I would need to access on my return trip in my electric vehicle. I talked to someone else and they assured me my charges for my electric vehicle would go through. ( Card still on XXXX hr. hold at this point ) .I then used another Chase XXXX card for a purchase and it was declined ( This card was also on hold ) Then I was worried that my card would not work and allow me to charge thus preventing my trip home. I called Chase again and was assured that the card would work but that they were cancelling my card.Through a third call to Chase I was told some additional information but they would not reinstate my card. My point here is that their misinformation has caused me great amount of time and effort because I will have to change all my auto payments with new information and if you have ever tried that you will know how difficult and time consuming that is.The last person I talked to I told them that I felt that the call center individuals got a bonus for every CC that they cancelled because Chase wanted to avoid any liability of a lost or stolen card and XXXX the cardholder!, Didn't deny this
