Issue: Managing an account
Subissue: Banking errors
Consumer Complaint: There are several transactions where someone at the bank or who has access from a bankers access to make changes to my account. The account has been manipulated and there are two transactions for services not provided where the credit to my account after cancelling my debit card have been reversed regardless no subscription is accessible. I explained to the banker at customer service my email has been hacked into and I no longer have access to the old email address, XXXX. Access to the old email is a requirement for the subscription to be used and can't be cancelled without loggin in for a cancel request to be sent. The bank reversed my disputes for XXXX and XXXX to XXXX and XXXX XXXX and no access to the subscriptions is possible. The next issue is upon setting the account to close, I was told it will remain open until the account has a XXXX balance. There were several pending transactions for the account including a lease payment to XXXX XXXX in the amount of {$210.00} and again, someone with bankers access blocked the payment costing me {$2000.00} this year. I can not afford to have someone decision make on my accounts. They also lied and said " she has a negative balance, there is no money in her account '' when the transaction was pending so that the last transaction could not be processed of {$210.00}. There is no such negative balance and I am attaching the actual balance with the transaction being blocked to the complaint. They are trying to reverse all disputed transactions before the {$210.00} can go through and there was another one where an XXXX delivery was stolen before being brought to my door at XXXX at night, there was NOTHING brought at all.

Consumer Complaint: I was in the XXXX and some how my things were stolen from the locker that I had placed my things in. This locker had my wallet, phone and coat in it. When I came back everything was gone. When I got news that my things were missing, I called the bank and filed the dispute and waited and they said they found no error. They denied me getting my money back. No information was asked to be sent or anything. This is fraud on the bank because I should be protected by the FDIC. Why am I being denied my money when I did not make those transactions.

Consumer Complaint: I deposited a check issued from our insurance company a couple months back when and didn't know I had to get an endorsement. We acknowledge she is at fault for that, but this whole situation is being overly complicated by XXXX in the first place. XXXX comes, our car is repaired, and we prepare all the necessary documents XXXX needs to resolve this dispute. Last week, we were finally able to collect all of them and send them over, just to find out despite sending all the documentation they require, they still don't want to authorize payment. Now, our insurance company won't reissue a copy of the check because the check is cleared and suspended, our bank won't release the funds because they are protecting themselves from legal liability, and XXXX won't authorize the check, because they are being stubborn I guess. We haven't had this car in months, haven't defaulted on payments, haven't defaulted on our contract, and since this vehicle is leased, I imagine it's in their best interest to also have this vehicle repaired. I've done everything in my power to rectify this situation, but the only thing I can do from here on out is take legal action. We've wasted days, talked to multiple reps, gotten our bank and insurance company to talk to these people, been given ample misinformation, and nothing has been resolved about this situation.

Consumer Complaint: We deposited a settlement check of {$40000.00} from a well-known law firm ( XXXX XXXX XXXX into our personal account on Friday, XX/XX/2023. A hold was placed on the check until the XXXX of XXXX. The day the check was supposed to clear, the sending bank ( XXXX XXXX was encountering problems and for some reason (?? ) the check wasn't okayed. Chase then put a further hold on the check for a week, until Tuesday, XX/XX/XXXX. This is beyond the understood amount of time a bank can/should hold a check. On top of that, the same day of the issue, my wife and XXXXXXXX XXXX attempted to explain to Chase that the check was clear to cash, but they have outright refused. There is NO reasonable explanation for Chase 's action. Though this complaint may mean little as the check will likely clear before it can be addressed, I still wanted the complaint on file with the CFPB.
