Consumer Complaint: Gm financial, and XXXX XXXX XXXX are no longer my responsibility after divorce XX/XX/2021 and I continue to get derogatory marks that reduce my credit score and make my ability to get housing, credit or auto loans approved. My credit is poorly effected by accounts that I am not legally responsible for and have no access to information about. I'm being penalized for the behavior of an ex spouse and it is entirely out of my control and should not be legally allowed to poorly reflect on my own credit history. I have tried without success to get the accounts to stop posting negative things to my credit, have tried to plead for my ex to resolve the issues from his end and have sent disputes through credit reporting agencies

Consumer Complaint: My last payment made to my XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX GM Financial was in XX/XX/XXXX. I had recently had financial loss due to my job closing down. I told them that in XXXX and was told that I would have make another 2 payments in order for them to give me a deferment or to give me a chance to come up with something. Because they gave me such a hard time, I couldn't come up with the full payments. Even on their website, if I tried to make partial payments, it wouldn't let me login because I was 2 months behind. I just wanted to make some kind of payment because I knew that I couldn't make the whole payment. I received a letter by mail and email in XX/XX/XXXX, stating that I had to pay the full balance of loan by XXXX or my car would still be up for repossession and charge-off on my account and I wouldn't. be able to make another payment. This was totally unfair because they had it designed where I couldn't even make just any type of payments. It had to be a full month payment or whatever I was behind on. In the end of XX/XX/XXXX or the. beginning of XX/XX/XXXX, I received a phone call from GM Financial asking about payments. I told the lady that I received a letter stating that I had to pay the full balance or they would charged my car off and that they'd already charged it off. She lied and said they didn't. I told her that they did and hung up the phone. They didn't really try to work with me on payments and charged it off on my account and put it on my credit in XXXX. That's so unfair. Now I'm having difficulties with my credit score and purchases.

Consumer Complaint: Over the past 3 years I've disputed multiple times with all three bureaus the fact that I should not have to pay full msrp on a vehicle that I do not own anymore. I tried to refinance at the beginning of covid because I was not able to make payments after my employers shut down. I made my last payment in XX/XX/2020 tried to refinance for lower payments and during this time I had also learned that my car had 5 recalls that needed to be taken care of immediately for personal safety. the people I took it to said I needed to pay for the cost of labor but everything else was covered under warrantee. I took my remote and left. I tried talking with customer service multiple times, basically got the run around that I owed them and that was final and they weren't going to allow refinance because I need to make a payment or get it out of a past due balance. Which I understand but with covid going on and waiting on unemployment to go through ( fighting with DoL and past employer for leaving my schedule blank I had pictures though so it took a long time I never got paid til XXXX ) which apparently at some point a tow company came to my mother 's house to repossess my car. I never got any notices in the mail or even so much as a phone call and all my info was updated in the system so they knew where my address at the time was. I lost my mother in XXXX to an illness and then rhe next week they showed up and repossessed my car. Moratorium was still going on! The guy said he was going to give me my plates but never did he just jumped in his truck and left while I was carrying my things up to the porch I never even finished getting my stuff out I didn't fight with him or anything about taking rhe car but he said that gm would notify my about where it was going and so on. Which they never did that either. Next thing I know I get an onstar notification through email said my car is being fixed and prepared to be resold. I called and waited on hold for 3 hours and my phone died I gave up and then a payment was posted yo my account for XXXX which is what I'm guessing the cat sold for at auction 3 years worth of payments plus that equally out to be about XXXX but they still want XXXX and everything I've disputed they get taken off but jump back on my reports as an auto mobile loan, Installmant loan installment loan retail loan and so on they've literally deducted over XXXX points from my credit score over the course. And now currently I can't get any help what so ever. I'm not in enough debt to file for bankruptcy or for a loan nor can I get a personal loan to fix the other issues I have. My husband two dogs and myself have been homeless for almost a year now and I can not find any help whatsoever I don't know what else to do. This is unfair treatment. Harassment and just plain illegal and inhumane.

Consumer Complaint: I received an auto loan from GM Financial in late XXXX. I was in an accident ( only I was involved ) and because of the area of impact on the vehicle, it was declared totaled by XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX. I called gm financial to extend the payment date but was told I still had another 30 days before delinquent charges, plus the 7 days makes 37. I didnt know I was supposed to file a second claim with my XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX XXXX which is now underway. XXXX paid all but the extended warranty ( that I attempted to cancel ) key and XXXX XXXX ( I have the key ). In the mean time, GM financial has charged me over the last three months and I do not think this is fair. Upon reviewing my XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX credit reports, I observed a missed monthly payment in XX/XX/2022 is listed as a missed payment. In XX/XX/2022, I was out of work due to having a medical procedure. I was home recovering which led to financial hardship during this time. Ive had great experience with GM Financial and my goal is to maintain the relationship weve built over the past few years. My account history indicates that the past due balance was paid as well as the resulting late fee approximately 15 days later. Further, I have since made timely monthly payments and my account remains in good standing. I realized I made a mistake in falling behind 31 days.
