Issue: Problem with a purchase shown on your statement
Subissue: Credit card company isn't resolving a dispute about a purchase on your statement
Consumer Complaint: I purchased concert tickets on the XXXX website on XX/XX/20. The merchant ( XXXX ) had offered a refund due to COVID-19 ( which I elected to take ). The merchant refused to honor the refund request I had made through their website. I filed a dispute with my credit card company I used to make the purchase ( Discover ). Despite submitting clear and compelling evidence that I was owed a refund, Discover upheld the charge, and now I have paid over {$1000.00} for concert tickets I can not use, sell, or exchange due to XXXX XXXX policies. I strongly feel that Discover is complicit in defrauding consumers and must be held accountable.

Consumer Complaint: In XXXX, XXXX I contacted Discover about goods/services never received that I'd paid for using Discover. I stated I'd never placed a dispute before and didn't know what to do. The agent subsequently pushed disputes through for these charges : XX/XX/XXXX : {$3500.00} XX/XX/XXXX : {$6800.00} XX/XX/XXXX : {$10000.00} The Merchant received confirmation of the disputes and promptly called me freaking out and said he would be suing me if I didn't overturn the disputes. I contacted Discover and asked for help - asked specifically if the disputes could be put on hold or what my recourse could be if he didn't follow through with completing the work on my house. Payments were for installation of windows, a back door, and new siding on my home. Discover overturned the disputes when the Merchant said he would complete the work, and I never heard from him again. I contacted Discover again to note that he hadn't come to do the work and I'd subsequently received a notice in XX/XX/XXXX of him intending to file for bankruptcy. Discover has repeatedly said there's nothing they can do to help me and there's no way to dispute a charge a second time. I am under the impression they could do a chargeback, but they are stating that isn't possible and even though I've provided documentation the work wasn't ever completed and an email from the Merchant directly stating he won't be doing the work on my home - they are still maintaining there's nothing they can do. It was never communicated to me that I would not be able to dispute these charges again. In total, I paid $ XXXX to this Merchant, XXXX of it with Discover. Discover has blatantly refused to help. ADDITIONALLY - Discover has now deleted some evidence from my account of messages I sent stating specifically I'd never disputed anything before and didn't know what the process was. They are falsifying evidence to support their refusal to process the disputes.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2016 I opened an account with Discover Bank. I never ever missed a payment. I always have my account on auto pay. During my divorce, I had to cancel my joint bank account with my ex-wife and re set up my auto pay. When I realized that I had missed a payment I called right away and spoke with a representative to explain the situation. They told me that it was no issue and that all that i needed to do was provide the new account number and routing number to my new account. I provided that information accurately and was told by the rep that the payment was scheudeld for the due date. I later found out that the rep had incorrectly inputted the information into their system and because of their mistake my payment had not gone through and I now was showing up late and overdue and deliquent. I called right away in XXXX to not only recitfy the situation and tell them about their mistake but to have them look into the matter and look at their recorded tapes. I was told and confirmed by a manager that an honest mistake had been made on their behalf and that the information was inputed wrong. I gave them the account number correctly again for a second time and set up the auto pay. Not only did i bring the account back to auto pay i made a large payment and then cleared the account entirely of any balance. in fact they needed to credit me the money back. At this point I am considering legal actions and have reached out to an attorney. I would like for any delinquency to be removed from my records as it was not my fault and i am suffering damages in the process

Consumer Complaint: Beautiful day. Happy XXXX. XXXX has been one heck of a year. =- ( I humble myself to truly say thank you for taking a look at my situation. For about 2 months now I have been trying to respectfully dispute some issues with my credit. I sent and mailed off my ID and Social along with the proper documents and information needed for these companies to look further into the matter. Some of them said the items are accurate and have been verified ; however, I humbly asked and requested that they send me my signature showing that I have a binding contractual agreement with them. Month after month 2 now they have failed to show me this information. XX/XX/XXXX was when I last submitted this dispute and I do have certified mail receipts to track their inability to produce the necessary documents requested. They are tying to buy time as I have given them everything they need and require.
