Consumer Complaint: collections agency convergent outsourcing is the collection agency who bought the account from the original creditor, reliant energy. it was opened as a new account in XX/XX/2019, yet i did not receive written notice until XXXX, the letter was dated for XX/XX/2019. I called and spoke with the collections agency, who stated they had sent out the only letter in XX/XX/XXXX, i then asked then why have you already put the collections account on my credit report and i have not been given my 30 days to decide what i would like to do. I was then sent another letter, stating they would like an answer as to why i was disputing the account.. I sent an email stating just as before. Received a letter today saying i am still responsible.

Consumer Complaint: After reviewing my XXXX, and XXXX credit report 's I noticed a collection account being reported by a company called convergent outsourcing inc . I have no recollection of ever having an account with the company in question. After searching all of my files and records I was not able to find any records or documents connecting me with the company. On XX/XX/XXXX I reached out to the company per certified mail requesting documentation that would show proof that I did indeed owed the allege debt. The company responded by mail on XX/XX/XXXX by mail with XXXX different bills one for {$440.00} dated XX/XX/XXXX and one for {$180.00} dated XX/XX/XXXX and the other only ten days apart for {$340.00} dated XX/XX/XXXX. The company has several late and extra fees listed on the documents that were sent. I am reaching out for help to have this negative inaccurate account removed from my credit profile.

Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2018 I contacted by certified mail XXXX and their hired collection agency XXXX XXXX and asked them to produce validation of said debt. They did not respond even though the certification was delivered on XX/XX/2018 and signed by a party from their company. They are stating that the debt owed is {$1500.00} in which i asked them to give a break down of equipment versus usage charges in which they refuse to disclose. All equipment was returned to their XXXX Site and they hand delivered and emailed that the equipment was received. I than asked for validation information pertaining to said charges that are " still due '' but they refuse to disclose and/or produce documentation. They have resold the account to Convergent Outsourcing who has also refused to disclose requested information about any updated information and their validation of this said debt of {$1500.00}. I have called XXXX on several occasions but to no avail they leave me on hold for hours without addressing any issues.

Consumer Complaint: On my XXXX credit report there is an entry for XXXX cellular service. The company reporting this information to XXXX is Convergent Outsourcing. The XXXX report shows an " Open Date '' of XX/XX/XXXX, which is incorrect. I disputed this information with both XXXX and Convergent, and finally with no action on either of XXXX 's or Convergent 's as asked for a Method of Verification, as I informed them the date was incorrect. Today I received the Convergent response. They advised the account was " verified '' as valid and advised the verification was attached. Convergent attached some paperwork from XXXX which shows calls between XX/XX/XXXX to XX/XX/XXXX, yet they still report to XXXX the account was opened in XX/XX/XXXX. I'm at this point at a loss to even explain the XXXX of this dispute, In short the dispute I made ( Incorrect Open Date ) was not even addressed by the company I disputed it with. Furthermore the information provided to me by the reporting agency to verify the debt, ( XXXX Bill ) PROVES my claim the open date is incorrect by 4 years. This does not seem to be a simple " Mistake ''. A company that has access to this information does not read a date? The is an attempt to re-age the debt.

Consumer Complaint: I have disputed this item with the credit reporting agency and they reported you confirmed the account as valid. I honestly do not believe to ever have any relationship with this collection agency or original creditor. Also there are several inaccuracies with this account the way it's reporting and that's a total violation of FCRA and FDCPA laws and regulations. In a good faith effort to resolve the matter amicably, I must demand proof of this debt, specifically the alleged contract or other instrument bearing my signature, as well as proof of your authority in this matter. Absent such proof, you must correct any erroneous reports of this past debt as mine. I am writing to request that you please provide the following information : 1. Please evidence your authorization under 15 USC 1692 ( e ) and 15 USC 1692 ( f ) in this alleged matter. 2. What is your authorization of law for your collection of information? 3. What is your authorization of law for your collection of this alleged debt? 4. Please evidence your authorization to do business or operate in this state. 5. Upon reviewing a copy of my credit report, I see inaccurate entry listings. I challenge the accuracy, compliance and reportability of these listing on my credit reports. CONVERGENT OUTSOURCI Reported : XX/XX/2019 {$140.00} There is no contract, no valid claims ... account was settled with original creditor ( XXXX ) and has been confirmed, grave errorsfalse claims and reportingI want this account removed immediately or litigation may follow. Debts can not be collected twicethis is unlawful Yet again, you continue to report this and failed to provide me with a copy of any viable evidence, bearing my signature, showing the account is being reported accurately. Be advised that the description of the procedure used to determine the accuracy and completeness of the information is hereby requested. Additionally, please provide the name, address, and telephone number of each person who personally verified this alleged account, so that I can inquire about how they " verified '' without providing any proof, bearing my signature. Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX, I received a notice by mail from Convergent that I owed XXXX on a bill from XXXX. They said I could discharge the debt by paying them 35 % of my total balance, or XXXX. Not having any issue with XXXX, I called them to inquire. They told me that we had no debt unpaid with them and that we have been a good client since XX/XX/1995. I called Convergent 4 times on XX/XX/XXXX to discuss this notice. Each time I was transferred to a random answering machine where I could not understand the message. Each time I called back, I was told I would be transferred to a supervisor or the proper department. And each time I was transferred to another anonymous answering machine.

Consumer Complaint: In 2018 I received a debt letter from Convergent Outsourcing. The creditor was XXXX and the client account # XXXX. I called XXXX and asked them to find more information about this debt because I've never had an account with them. They told me that I needed to give them my social to find my information. I was not okay with that because I know they don't have this information on file because I never had an account with them. I gave them the client Account # above. They send me monthly letters telling them they will take payments. I need them to stop. They are not reporting to any credit agency, but I do not owe them this debt and want them to stop mailing me that I do.
