Issue: Attempts to collect debt not owed
Subissue: Debt was result of identity theft
Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/2021 I learned that I was a victim of identity fraud after viewing my credit report on XXXX. I noticed I had an account in collections in the total dollar amount {$700.00} from CONVERGENT OUTSOURCING but the original creditor was XXXX XXXX XXXX. However, I have never had an account or contract with XXXX XXXX XXXX. So I went to the XXXX XXXX Police Department and filed a police report informing them that I had been a victim of identity fraud. Therefore, I am asking that this company remove this inaccurate information off of my credit report immediately.

Consumer Complaint: I sent a letter to Convergent Outsourcing to provide me legal documentation for this alleged debt after auditing my credit reports, and never receiving a dunning letter from them. I am not liable for this debt with XXXX and I do not have a contract with Convergent Outsourcing. In addition, they did not provide me with the original application like I asked them. They completed ignored my letter, and but fail to provide me with the original application therefore they need to delete this account from my credit report

Issue: Incorrect information on your report
Subissue: Information belongs to someone else
Consumer Complaint: XXXX & Convergent Outsourcing has set me on a wild goose chase for a fraudulent account they have allowed someone to open in my name and now are requesting information the average person would not be able to produce so they can continue to report an account that is continuing to hurt my credit. I simply can not produce mail from over 5 years ago. I did some research and found out that although you must produce identification they don't make copies of it. Last but not least I would love to file a police report in fact I spoke to officer XXXX of XXXXPD who advised me to request specific information so my report would not be vague and allow them to do an actual investigation which leads to an arrest and Convergent Outsourcing has failed to send me what I have requested per the request of the XXXXPD. I am not receiving any assistance just a copy of a bill and an address I have never lived on account so old it impossible for me to produce. Please see the attached documents.

Consumer Complaint: MY dispute was delivered on XX/XX/XXXX to Convergent outsourcing simply asking them to provide the following information y. I requested verification of the alleged debt. Consumer Complaint: I purchased a new phone from XXXX XXXX in XXXX of 2021. It was purchased at a company XXXX uses called ( XXXX ). The lady that sold me the phone deceived me with lies about XXXX giving me XXXX dollars for my old phone and promising me a XXXX gift card in addition to the sale of my old one. I didn't realize until after I had gotten home that I was duped out of my old phone because the receipt didn't show the XXXX dollar credit for my old phone. I couldn't go back because the place was closed and I was already informed that once my old phone was turned in I wasn't able to get it back. Days later I received an email about what my bills would look like and it was outrageous. A lot more than what I was quoted. I called customer service to get an explanation about the bill and the money I was suppose to get for my old phone. Reality set in that I was scammed out of my old phone when the lady told me the XXXX dollar GIFT card was the only thing I was getting for my phone. Not only that but when I was purchasing my new phone from XXXX I specifically asked the lady that sold me my new phone if the the card was a Visa so I could purchase anything I wanted, but it was not. The card could only be used for XXXX products. After three months of frustration, bad service and dropped calls I decided to pay off my phone and cancel XXXX all together. In retaliation XXXX sends me a bill for a month of service that I didn't use because they always bill a month in advance and they also want me to pay back the XXXX dollar ( GIFT ) card that they gave me. After refusing to pay they sent my bill to a collection agency called ( Convergent ) out of XXXX, Washington. These people have been calling me nonstop for weeks, sending letters and several emails. since I didn't respond they have resorted to harassing my wife by calling her too. I hope that no one else falls victim to this XXXX scam and I hope the CFPB can rectify this and get XXXX off my back.

Consumer Complaint: on or around XX/XX/2021 I switched phone providers from XXXX to XXXX. I called XXXX to see balance owed if any. I was told by a XXXX rep that if i sent in the phone and paid {$150.00} that would end my obligation to XXXX. I did as instructed. return kit sent. mailed phone. paid {$150.00} to the XXXX rep over the phone.. who stated he worked where returns come to.. verified mine was checked in ... ( XXXX XXXX ) .. transaction complete so I thought.. I discover.. with no warning.. XXXX contacts a collections agency @ 4 months later saying I owe {$150.00} and reports it to all 3 bureaus. XXXX has since removed it based on my dispute. XXXX and XXXX I cant ( why I dont know ) is not allowing me access to my own credit file to dispute this. XXXX knows this is fraud. they've done the same to my wife. this matter is paid in full and they have NO credible proof its not. I would like XXXX to remove this from my credit and if by some miracle the payment i made was lost or stolen i would pay again because this mess caused my credit score to drop a avg of 25 points across the 3 bureaus. my credit score matters to me.. paying {$150.00} twice is hard to accept for me but in the big scheme of things ... regular citizen versus XXXX XXXX corporation.. for me and my family its what im forced to do if collection is removed first. because proving this XXXX cant do
