Consumer Complaint: I am an XXXX XXXX military member who has recently returned from living overseas for 4 years. As part of my new job and heightened security clearance, I had to submit to a credit review process. During this process, I learned that I supposedly owed approximately {$300.00} to XXXX XXXX. OnXX/XX/XXXX I spoke with XXXX XXXX of XXXX XXXX She informed me that the charge was initially a XXXX XXXX bill that went into collection. I am adamant that I paid all charges to XXXX prior to departing overseas. It would not, however, surprise me if I was subjected to a predatory account cancellation charge ( this has happened to me twice previously with cell phone companies despite doing everything within my power to ensure that the account was closed properly prior to departing and informing them of the military clause for cancelling accounts ). I asked for an itemized list of charges and was told that these would be emailed. I left 2 voicemails for XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX and XX/XX/XXXX. On XX/XX/XXXX I called back and spoke to XXXX ( ext XXXX ). I was told that my request for an itemized list of charges was under " Manager Review '' at XXXX XXXX I was told that there was no standard for review and to expect " a few weeks or a month '' for return notice. When I asked if there was a specific standard I was told that " this information is not important. '' I have since not been successful at having anyone at XXXX, XXXX, or any other third party collection agency describe to me the nature of my alleged debt. I feel I have no recourse ( other than paying a debt I don't believe is mine ) than to request your assistance. The claim number for this is # XXXX and the contact # I have for the company is XXXX. Consumer Complaint: XXXX XXXX XXXX violated my consumer rights by not notifying me of the sale of my repossessed vehicle. The address they mailed documents to was not my address. This information was obtained through debt verification from XXXX XXXX XXXX who purchased my debt. I attempted obtaining verification multiple times from the credit agency and the debt collector who now owns the debt from XXXX XXXX stated XXXX XXXX states their records are correct. Which in fact is not. Being that I was never notified of the lingering debt or a way to pay it until being harassed by the debt buyer which I never had a contract with or received any goods or services from.

Consumer Complaint: Upon review of my XXXX and XXXX credit reports in XX/XX/2019, I noticed a collection account reporting from XXXX XXXX XXXX ( Account # XXXX ). I contacted the collection agency via mail in XX/XX/2019 sending them a debt validation letter. I do not have a contract with this company therefore I asked for them to show me documentation that proves that I am the party who owes this debt to them. The company responded with a generic collection letter with their company letterhead and I balance owed of {$600.00}. I never received validation of this account nor a signed contract or documentation that this account belongs to me. Since XX/XX/2019 I have sent several additional mail correspondences even offering to settle this unverified account, not acknowledging it as mine, but to have it removed from my credit report as is is affecting my credit worthiness. None of my correspondences after the companys failure to validate debt have been replaced to. I also sent disputed letters to all associated credit bureaus who have also failed to validate debt but continue to insist the debt is verified.

Consumer Complaint: I already complained to XXXX because they added this to my file without notifying me. I asked for a verification and all they sent me was a vague letter with 6 months of bills for 4 phone lines when I only had 2. According to the CFPB there criteria which are required by law when sending a notice like this. The name of the creditor The amount owed That you can dispute the debt That if you dont dispute the debt within 30 days the debt collector will assume the debt is valid That if you dispute the debt in writing within 30 days the debt collector will provide verification of the debt That if you request the name and address of the original creditor within 30 days, if different from the current creditor, the debt collector will provide you that information. The last bullet point wasn't included on this vague letter. I received the letter on the XX/XX/XXXX and it has been over 5 days. XXXX XXXX is required by law to clarify that within 5 days of initial contact. I have attached the letter for verifcation
