Consumer Complaint: This is about the Consumer Credit Transaction with your financial institution executed by way of signing an Agreement ( Document ). As per 15 USC 6827 ( 3 ) The term document means any information in any form. I demand you Cease and Desist from disclosing my nonpublic personal information to all nonaffiliated third parties, which includes XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX. The provisions of 15 USC 6801 ( a ) state It is the policy of theCongressthat eachfinancial institutionhas an affirmative and continuing obligation to respect the privacy of its customers and to protect the security and confidentiality of those customersnonpublic personal information. Please be advised that I have not given your company consent to share my nonpublic personal information and if theres a nondisclosure clause in your contract/agreement giving you that option to share my nonpublic personal information. I ask that you show me in the same contract/agreement where I can opt out of your sharing of my nonpublic personal information. 15 USC 6802 ( B ) clearing states that A financial institutionmay not disclosenonpublic personal informationto anonaffiliated third party. 15 USC 6802 ( B ) 1b theconsumeris given the opportunity, before the time that such information is initially disclosed, to direct that such information not be disclosed to such third party 15 USC 6802 ( B ) 1c theconsumeris given an explanation of how theconsumercan exercise that nondisclosure option. In the above-mentioned Consumer Credit Transaction , without giving me the opportunity to opt out, your institution furnished my nonpublic personal information to nonaffiliated third parties ( i.e XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX ). With that said, your company has not only infringed my right to privacy but also violated multiple Federal Laws. Consumer Complaint: XX/XX/22 - I placed a order with XXXX XXXX for {$320.00} for motorcycle parts. They did not have all the parts in stock that were ordered and shipped a partial order. I spoke with XXXX XXXX on XX/XX/22 and I was told they issued a partial refund of {$260.00}. My citibank account was never refunded any amount. I disputed this transaction with Citibank and was told they sided with the merchant. The merchant ( XXXX XXXX ) never shipped the complete order or refunded me the money for the parts they did not ship.

Consumer Complaint: Dear CFPB, Citibank had restricted my Checking account XXXX without any legal reason to do so. In XX/XX/2022 I initiated a transfer of funds from the Ctibank account and that transaction was blocked by Citibank. A note I received from another bank to which I intended to transfer funds from my Citibank checking account read as follows : Please be advised that for the external Citi Bank checking account ending in XXXX, I did see the initial suspension was triggered by the failed {$45000.00} ACH transfer on XXXX. When viewing the transfer request on your Bank profile, I do show the rejection reason listed as Account Frozen / Entry Returned Per OFAC ( Office of Foreign Assets Control ) Instruction. As far as I know there is no legal action by any party that would put my account into XXXX status and I am not subject to any OFAC restrictions. I believe that Citibank restricted my account without any legitimate reason. As a result of Citibanks action I lost {$250.00} due to the fact that Citigroup blocked my transaction mentioned above and I am continuing to loose money every month in which I do not have access to the funds in my account. I would appreciate that CFPB investigates the practice of Citibank blocking customers accounts without proper legal process or a court decision.

Consumer Complaint: I recently received an Envelope post marked XX/XX/XXXX from Citi Bank. There was no cover letter only Account Statement from XXXX XXXX. I filed a Written Dispute in XXXX, regarding a Purchase I made with my Home Depo Credit card totaling XXXX. I paid the deposit on XXXX and the balance on XXXX. It did not show up on my XX/XX/XXXX statement with closing dates XXXX. On my XX/XX/XXXX Account Statement it showed up as a credit for the Total amount of XXXX, but then added right back in to Purchases totaling XXXX. Then on my XX/XX/XXXX statement only a partial credit was apply XXXX was credited from my account leaving a balance of XXXX. Then in XX/XX/XXXX statement I was charged for the XX/XX/XXXX XXXX XXXX for a then showing a Balance of XXXX. I was informed in writing that the total purchase amount XXXX was Charged back to my Home Depo credit card account, but as the statements prove, the balance reflected that amount included in the Total amount due. The Account was charged off with the incorrect balance. This account is discharged through Bankruptcy XX/XX/XXXX.

Consumer Complaint: OnXXXX I found out my XXXX banks have been hacked and XXXX money to people I dont know and XXXX people and buy XXXX I immediately called All my banks, chat with agent in XXXX and XXXX to let them know the fraud and unauthorized transactions. Citibanks is the first bank I call and agent gave me a case number XXXX suggested to froze my checking account until I request to turn back On. I called twice to request static of my case because today is XX/XX/XXXX I call Citibank agent told me my case number is not finish or complete due to cut off and thats a lie so I start to yell at them and transfer me to dispute department n spoke to XXXX and she told me that my case is close on XX/XX/XXXX and I will receive a letter by XXXX that I lost the case for XXXX transactions money XXXX for {$42.00} and {$2400.00}. At XXXX the scammer even add his own deposit account and routing number in too

This is to inform you that on this date : XX/XX/2022 I received a text message from XXXX, Citi Bank that stated the following : " Did you make a transfer for {$49000.00} from account ending XXXX on XXXX YES = 1, NO = 2 or call XXXX. Reply STOP to Opt-Out '' What I did in response was text back # 2 as I was in a state of shock. What money transfer? I did not do this or authorize it. I also was in contact with Citi Banck at the phoine number provided above. I informed them about this text message and the fact that I did not authjorize any transaction, transfer or anything. I then received claim # XXXX as they recorded the fraudulent case. I was informed that money willbe blocked as transfer takes three days to complete and this transaction should not go through but it did. I went to the bank location on XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX XXXX IL XXXX to report and check that action was taken to stop this transaction. The branch manager filed another report which I personally signed and we closed account # XXXX that was stolen from and opened new ones. It is unfortunate to see that the bank still permitted this transaction to go through when I clearly texted I did not authorize it, I called and reported the fraudulent action and I went to the bank to stop any possible transaction. Since then, Citi Bank denied my case and I still do not have my money. I went multiple times to their branches and called still nothing. How is this even possible? Please assist. Thank you.

Consumer Complaint: Back in XX/XX/XXXX, My sister stole my XXXX federal income tax check in the amount of {$4700.00} and she then got a bank account in my name thru Citibank. I was made aware of the account and I immediately called Citibank to report the fraudulent account and to let them know that my check had been stolen and that I did not open the account. I was told by the customer service rep to call the Federal Trade Commission which I did and I also filed a police report with the XXXX XXXX Police Department And i also reported identity theft to all 3 credit bureaus. I was told by the XXXX from Citibank that someone would call me in 3 business days. I never heard anything back from Citibank until a letter came in the mail dated XXXX XXXX that Citibank fraud department had honored my identity theft claim and after there investigation they found that I had no knowledge of the account. Since then Ive called over 100 times only to be told someone will call me back which nobody ever does. I recently drove from my home in XXXX to XXXXXXXX XXXX in hopes of talking to someone in person that could possibly help me with getting my check back and sadly I talked with 2 different people that like all the others I spoke with could not help me. I recently filed a complaint to the Federal Reserve who emailed me back saying they reviewed my case and sent it to the financial consumer department.

Consumer Complaint: I filed a dispute concerning a {$210.00} charge from XXXX. I cancelled service with XXXX in XXXX and received a XXXX label from XXXX to return the modem, cord, and transmitter. All three were returned to XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX via tracking # XXXX and received by XXXX on XX/XX/XXXX as you can see from the proof of delivery. I had to call XXXX again on XX/XX/XXXX to find out why they were charging me {$210.00} ; they claimed they never received the transmitter, even though it was in the same box as the modem and the cord. You can clearly see the transmitter in the box in the photo I took when I packaged it up. XXXX assured me a refund would be issued. Instead, Citi reversed the conditional credit on XX/XX/XXXX and asked me to send in documentation supporting my dispute ; I sent Citi the photograph as well as proof of delivery on XX/XX/XXXX ; the document shows as being received by them in their " dispute center ''. I'm unclear what additional evidence would be required from them, and it appears to me that not only was zero investigation done on their part, but they also clearly didn't review the documents provided by me. I signed the letter requested by Citi and again sent the proof of delivery via fax # to them XX/XX/XXXX. I have been a card member since XXXX with Citi, and have had to waste hours now getting this resolved.

Consumer Complaint: XXXX cash advances were made on XX/XX/2022 to my Citi XXXX XXXX, both to XXXX, XXXX for {$550.00}, the other for {$740.00}. I did not authorize either charge and immediately called Citi. I told them that my computer was hacked on XX/XX/2022, taken over by scammers, there was possible identity theft, and my credit card information was obtained directly from my XXXX account, where it was stored. Citi told me that the charges and fees would be deducted, and I then paid the amount shown on my XXXX statement minus the fraudulent charges and fees. I canceled my Citi XXXX, my XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXXXXXX card, and my Macys card. Because of the possible identity theft I notified Social Security, the FTC, the XXXX XXXX XXXX and froze my credit at XXXX, XXXX and XXXX, My XXXX, 2022 Citi statement showed that the charges and fees had been reversed. When checking my Account Summary online on XXXX XXXX I saw a pending charge for an unauthorized cash advance of {$64.00}. I called Citi and was told that the charges were related to the XXXX cash advances that were placed back on my account. I asked for a supervisor and spoke to XXXX XXXX, a XXXX XXXX XXXX at XXXX. After explaining that the scammers had obtained my Citi account information directly from my credit card account information stored at XXXX she assured me that the charges would be reversed. I received a letter, dated XX/XX/2022 saying the dispute has been closed and the charges would be rebilled to my account. I again called the fraud department at Cit and was advised to send a letter asking them to re-open the case. The letter is in the mail, addressed to XXXX XXXX XXXX in XXXX XXXX, SD XXXX. Citi is basically calling me a liar and I want to alert the CFPB to this issue in the event that Citi fails to reverse the charges and associated fees and interest as required by law.
