Consumer Complaint: Summary : I was shown an offer on my American Express Credit Card account page with an offer of an extra XXXX bonus miles if meeting a minimum spend requirement. After being approved XX/XX/XXXX for the card and meeting the minimum spend for sign up bonus, I realized I had not received a sign up bonus in XX/XX/XXXX. American Express says they showed a popup stating I wasnt eligible, however this is absolutely not something that was shown or seen at any point during my application. I am requesting resolution to the misleading advertising and resolution of the signup bonus used to draw my attention to the credit card at the time of application. XXXX XX/XX/XXXX - Applied for Delta Skymiles Platinum Card assuming i would be given a XXXX sky mile sign up bonus if minimum spend was met. XXXX XX/XX/XXXX - Called American Express to inquire about why my sign up bonus had not been credited. American Express said that i had been rejected by the committee due to my credit history and i was not eligible. The CS reps stated i was informed of this decision through a website popup. I absolutely did not see a popup of any manner of this sort, and I would not have applied for the credit card if this were the case as the card has a yearly fee that I would have felt uncomfortable with, if not for the initial sign up bonus. CS rep stated they would open an investigation to check if i should be eligible, and to call back in 2 weeks. XXXX XX/XX/XXXX - Called American Express to follow up on the status of their investigation. They informed me due to my credit card history i was ineligible and would not be changing their decision.

Consumer Complaint: I received a credit card offer from American Express in XX/XX/XXXX that included XXXX bonus miles and a cash credit of {$200.00} if I charged {$3000.00} within 3 months. On XX/XX/XXXX, I called AmEx to verify that I would be eligible for the bonus. They assured me I was qualified. I had recently had an Amex BLUE card, but this was a GOLD card, so I could get the bonuses. So I applied for and received the card. I then charged over {$3000.00} right away. In XXXX I noticed I'd received no bonus, so on XX/XX/XXXX I called and spoke with XXXX, employee # XXXX to complain. She opened case # XXXX. She said investigation would take 7-14 days. I received no response, so on XX/XX/XXXX I called and spoke with XXXX, employee # XXXX who said the investigation closed on XX/XX/XXXX and they concluded I was NOT qualified for the bonus, since I had had a BLUE card until XXXX, before receiving my GOLD card. This contradicted what they told me in XXXX. I was then transferred to speak to XXXX, employee # XXXX, who agreed to another investigation. He told me they could listen to the recording of our phone conversation in XXXX of XXXX and if I had been promised the bonuses, I would get them. He told me the investigation would take about a week and they would call me. I never received a response ( again ), so on XX/XX/XXXX, I called and spoke to XXXX, employee # XXXX, who told me the new investigation had closed and no bonuses were approved. He could not see that they had listened to the recording of my conversation in XXXX.

When transferring amount to sub account is says pending and never transfers the money. Customer service will not help. They say to try later or call back later to no avail. The phone number automatically disconnects XXXX. On phone this moment with American Express. On hold for 20 minutes. No help. No answers. No further people to speak with. XXXX at American Express actually said XXXX is not part of American Express. American Express is listed twice on the front of the card and once again on the back

Consumer Complaint: Over 7 years my credit balance with American express has been showing that it is {$15000.00} which is incorrect. I have contacted American express in regards to this issue numerous times in the past 7 years. Unfortunately American express never took care of it, at times when I called XXXX they provided me with incorrect information that they have been updating my credit report to the bureaus and it is the credit bureau 's fault that my credit report is not been updated. This is false information, American express has the worst customer service ever. I contacted the credit bureaus as well numerous times, and they kept informing me that the information they have is been reported by American express and it can not be updated not until the credit card company ( XXXX ) send them a new update. American express has been giving me the run around in regards to this matter for several years. This is ruining my life, Among other things, I have been denied rental and employment due to this matter.

On XX/XX/XXXX of XXXX, I decided to arrive to XXXX because I am very close to obtaining the job of my dreams ( As a Software Engineer ). I got my Driver License, I created a Bank Account, and I started trying to get a credit card but all institutions which I tried was refusing my requests thanks that I decided to talk with my sister about it and she suggested to me that I created an account with XXXX to check my credit historical ( Until that moment I didn't know about that ), thanks to that I discovered a lot of cards with a lot of debt on the dashboard of mentioned application obviously I never request these cards ( Only a XXXX XXXX card was requested by me ) for that reason I am here reporting this crime in my name. I suspect my dad because he was access to my personal information, and the addresses used on the reported credit cards are addresses where he was living. I certify the representations made are true, correct, and contain no material omissions of fact.

I went to pay using my Bluebird American Express card. My bill was {$130.00}. I was unable to use my Bluebird card. It said that it was " unable to process ''. It was not declined. I had to use my Visa debit card to pay for my bill. I was unable to check my app to see what was going on, also customer service was unreachable. You were greeted with a message saying " due to high call volume no one was able to take your phone call at this time ''. Really? My money is unavailable. And no one can take people 's phone call? I was able to finally log on to my app at XXXX. I was ENRAGED to see I had a XXXX DOLLAR balance. I was charged by Bluebird {$150.00}, and charged again {$140.00}. My charges say " ON HOLD ''. I thankfully do not ever use this account. However, this is disgusting. I can not reach anyone at this company. I called the main number to American Express a few times, and I called XXXX twice for my money back ( they said I have to call the card company ). I waited on hold for one hour to get through to someone, explain my situation, tell them I want the charges reversed to get my money back TO GET LAUGHED AT AND HUNG UP ON. I would like an answer, I would like my money back, and I would like this company prosecuted!!

Bluebird which is by American express informed no one about their cards not being able to use nor can we reach anyone it says invalid number once you press 0 by calling the provided number ON the card .... My transactions were declined with available funds but was declined yet the money was still taken out!!!!!!!! This has to be illegal. Then finally aftet 5hours i finally got passed the 0 for customer service was on hold for an hour and 20min for her to hang up on me after 8min on the phone!!!!!!!!

Consumer Complaint: Yesterday I was going onto my account to see if a return from XXXX had gotten credited to my account when I couldnt get on. I called and they said my account was permanently closed because someone had tried to put direct deposit into my account that wasnt my name. I get my paychecks in this account all the time and Im not sure who would try and do that. The only thing I could think is me and my fianc both have bluebird and I entered my direct deposit on something of his but even that is unlikely. They wouldnt give me any info or help me try and figure it out. I have money on my card that I can not get and the woman on the phone basically said XXXX me, refused to get me a supervisor or help to get my money released to me. I have my stimulus going into this account along with paychecks. So if someone had tried to steal my account without my knowledge that is identity theft and that doesnt give them the right to close my account and keep my money. Ive sent them emails and they still are refusing to help at all. Ive researched and see they have done this to numerous others and they never got their money back at all. This happened yesterday XX/XX/2021 and I have had bluebird for years. Never any issues besides them overcharging and saying its for a tip for the merchant.

Consumer Complaint: Today, XX/XX/2021, my Bluebird application, website, and card ceased to function. Several transactions were declined at a car wash and at an ATM location. I reached out to their customer service number on my card at XXXX attempting to reach service but they turned their phone system off. I reached out via @ XXXX on XXXX and @ AmericanExpress on XXXX and received no information or help. This issue started around XXXX EST. It is XXXX EST. I can now access my online account via the website but my app and card still do not work. Funds were debited from my account for charges that were declined and I still can not reach customer service to resolve. This is not the first time an outage like this has happened to this institution.
