Consumer Complaint: On XX/XX/XXXX I sent a check in the amount of {$2000.00} to settle a charged off debt owed to American Express. On the back it stated " By cashing this check you agree to remove this debt from all credit reporting agencies in XXXX XXXX. This also resolves my entire debt with American Express and XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX. with this final payment. This is called XXXX and satisfaction agreement. '' The letter explained the complete transaction including file numbers and account numbers. I provided ID, proof of residency and proof of said transaction. At this point the account has not been removed or even labeled as disputed. I then sent letters of complaint on XX/XX/XXXX to XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX stating the same and requested the removal of the account with no response from any of the agencies. I sent these letters return receipt requested so I can confirm they received them. I can provide copies of the receipts if you need them. Thanks in advance for your help with this matter.

Consumer Complaint: the old linked card expired. American Express deleted the old student card linked to the prepaid card. I tied to link the new card to this account and i needed to verify trial depsoits there app refuses to verify trial deposits. That after 10 times exceeded American Express wont let me add the same card there requesting a new card which i told them I can not get a new card. They blocked me from adding the card linked.. American Express new system is being complicated. I let here reps know that there system new system is complicated and will not let log in from there website. I can not make deposits Americn Express system being complicated and will not let me send my school funds over from the linked card to their account not unless i get a new card. There fraud department said it exceed 10 ten times. I told them its not my fault that there system will not allow me tto do so. its there system they should of kept the old system.

Consumer Complaint: I bought XXXX XXXX tickets for my elderly parents in XXXX of XXXX but the Airline cancelled the flight because of Covid without reimbursement. I filled a dispute with American Express and everything got resolved. But then in end of XX/XX/2020 I say a back charge of {$1600.00} on my statement, I reached out to American Express and they told me that it was from the dispute back in XXXX and somehow they did there audit and find out. I think it is unfair to me that when the dispute is once settled and I have moved on and then I get this surprise back charge from my credit company because they made a mistake somewhere.

I have filed a complaint with the Federal Trae Commission and my rights are still being violated. My general reputation and my ability to obtain credit is being tarnished. Consumer Complaint: Yesterday I tried to access my American Express Serve Account and could not gain access to my account info until I updated my old app to a new American Express Serve App with a different icon. My account was tied up all day. I prefer to keep my Main Account with a low balance to minimize unauthorized charges to my account. I was needing to transfer funds in order to make plans for the day. I was unable to access my account all day and on the two occasions I could login the app just buffered and wouldn't allow a money transfer. I installed, Uninstalled and reinstalled this faulty App, nothing worked. I called The Main Customer Service Dpt and also tried another 800 # that Dpt had shared with me the last time I had a serious problem with my account ... I couldn't reach a Rep at either number. I tried waiting in queue with both numbers and despite waiting for awhile ... I never could reach an Agent. Before contacting Amex I did reach out to Tech Support at XXXX to make sure there wasn't an issue with my phone. XXXX 's Tech Support assured me my phone was functioning properly.

Consumer Complaint: American Express is reporting an erroneous late on my credit file. I have been working on my credit and American Express keeps verifying these lates. I opened up this account back in XXXX and was always current, never had any lates and was very happy with the customer service and loved being a long time customer. I however, had to close some accounts back in XXXX and this was one of them. I closed the account and settled the debt that the card had and told them to please give me a call if there were any complications. I never received a call, and I figured the account would just report as closed and paid. However, almost 7 years later there was a {$4.00} fee on that card for something that I was not aware about. I didn't even know that this account could be charged anymore. I didn't receive any notifications, calls, emails regarding this and it made me late on the account. Had I known a {$4.00} balance was on the card, I would have paid that immediately to avoid all those lates. I still have no idea where those {$4.00} came from or why I was never told that this card was used after I had closed it and paid it. I ask that American Express removes the late payments off my credit fie. It's a little ridiculous to think I could have paid {$4.00} and this could have been avoided.

And still today are not able to view my account balances? Not able to view my transactions? Not being able to make deposits and see them? Enter into my account? I am constantly getting bogus and lame excuses? First of all There never should have ever been a change? Everything that was working from the previous system were working excellent? from stating the previous issues that I stated above? they claim this would be better? Please I have a lot of health conditions that cause me to view my accounts online from balances to transactions ; to withdrawals and Deposits? Let me give you a prime example? Say that you or your significant other were attending numerous amounts of personal business? And every time you had or when you had to contact your? Financial Institution? You were on hold for more than an hour? Each time and you still were not able to settle or get your account settled? And say that you saw bogus charges on your account? Say when you want to view your account balance and transactions ands deposits? and bogus charges? And you were not able to see them for the nine days? And when the bank, or the financial institution? was supposed to notify you of the change? And you find out that you are not able to access your account? For these nine days? Tell me how XXXX? You would be? First of all when you make these changes? the bank or financial institution ; ( American Exspress Debit Credit ; Prepaid card? Was long supposed to have? Made the same changed when they moved supposed to have made sure that customers can view there account balances? There transactions? And other options? And what if you knew that they were? aware of this and did not care? Let me say this? How incompetent you have to be? If you are making changes to yoiur website for no apparent reasons? And you decide that? this would be better for customers? And you found out that the change was not EVER? EVER? necessary to move ever? what was working and never needed change? Come with the change? Incompetence? XXXX XXXX? XXXX? and lack of professional work ethics? and and still you can not access your account and services this day? Know an educated company truly knows what should have taken place? And yet you see incompetence and still are not able to access your online account for ( 9 ) days you tell me how XXXX you would be really?

Consumer Complaint: I was charged a {$550.00} annual fee on my American Express Platinum card on XX/XX/2020. Then, on XX/XX/2020, American Express closed my account due to a payment that was 30 days late. I called customer service in XXXX to ask if they could credit the late fee but they were unwilling to do so. I gladly paid the {$550.00} fee for access to American Express card benefits, but the benefits were unavailable once the company closed my account. If I had closed the account voluntarily, American Express would have refunded or prorated the annual fee, so I believe they should do so in this case as well. Can you please assist with this?

Consumer Complaint: I have been using the American Express Serve card for several years. On Thursday XX/XX/XXXX I received an email that my account was suspended indefinitely. The only explanation I received was I violated one of their terms under section 15d. I had a substantial amount of money in that account. In the last week I have called customer service ( with hours of wait times ) to be told they cant see anything and dont know why it was closed. They informed me to mail a letter to a PO Box in Georgia ( which I did and was received on XXXX ) I emailed corporate offices through Amex and was finally told the company XXXX would not clarify to them why it was closed. I have also filed a complaint to the XXXX XXXX XXXX. My next step is a lawyer. This is outright robbery and complete unethical banking. I want my balance mailed to me in a check. That is my money to live on!
